AVOID - spend your money elsewhere!

I would rate 0 stars if I were able to.
The company racked up thousands in debts, made staff redundant and completely disappeared off social media and communications for almost 3 months, leaving lots of customers without their orders, unable to make use of annual postage, unable to use gifts cards and unable to make returns.
The quality of leggings/shorts has changed drastically in recent times. The products I used to run in now causing my serious chafing due to coarse stitching around the waistline.
I am appalled at how the situation has been handled and equally disgusted that they have been able to start up a “new company” under the name “locket loves” rather than “Lucy locket loves”! May I also add that the website is listing old stock that was previously being sold at higher prices and marketed as a “new business”, when previous customers were told that their data would be automatically transferred over to the new company unless they opted out - which I have done!

I would urge anyone to spend their money elsewhere and not give this sham of a company the time of day. Not only have they run a business into the ground but had a real lack of respect for their customers in the way that the situation was handled and the falsities that were presented around the issue on social media

She has lost a really faithful customer in me and I hope many others see the light, too

Poor Product Quality and Management

Bought one pair of shorts and the quality was awful, would never buy again as there are better products on the market. Plus the company went into liquidation and wrote off their £800k debt, only to have previously set up another business by a similar name to buy all the stock cheap but selling the products at more expensive prices. This is not the first time either. Will never buy from this company again. Only have to google the brand to find out the truth!

Initially a good quality product

Initially a good quality product. However, they racked up debts of over £900,000, & took themselves into liquidation and less than 2 months later are back up and running under a slightly different name. Has left me questioning the integrity of the owners. I won’t buy from them again because I prefer a company with better morals.

Scammy fraudsters

Wrote off their £800k debt at the expense of us taxpayers, only to have previously set up another business by a similar name to buy all the stock cheap. Complete fraudster who has let down her customers and her staff. Will never buy from her again. Only have to google her to find out the truth!

Cheaper and better quality leggings available elsewhere

You can buy the same leggings much cheaper elsewhere and actually, considering the quality of the last ones I bought, much better quality. Those leggings companies also don’t have posts boasting about their lovely new house or kitchen then go bust, leaving customers and staff without their orders / refunds / wages then start up again.
I don’t think I’ve seen any comments where the owner actually takes responsibility for what happened; she just seem to blame everything but herself.
She has lost lots of customers through her actions; perhaps if she’d taken responsibility and wasn’t deleting negative comments but was being transparent and humble, she’d be able to earn some respect. As it is, just deleting any comment that isn’t praising her, isn’t very honest.
You can’t censor Trust Pilot though.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible, the quality has gone downhill so much and then closing the business and relaunching whilst not sending out my orders is so frustrating and annoying! Been told I can’t get my money back because she’s now set up a new company (exact same stock) and my money is tied up in the old company and has to go through liquidators but there’s not enough to refund everyone and pay staff wages.

Awful company awful owner. So she’s goes bust as she hasn’t got a clue to running a successful business. But oh no she just starts another, never mind your poor staff with no job no wages. As long as you’re ok Lucy! The leggings are cheap china knock offs!

Don’t pay into this scam of a company.

Actually can’t believe that this company thinks it’s okay to just write off their debts at the tax payers expense, and not pay their once loyal customers back for orders and gift cards that weren’t fulfilled. Not to mention their staff members that never got paid.. suppliers that were out of pocket and I’m sure the list goes on.

Selling my data

I’ve brought items for Lucy Locket before to be fair I liked the leggings.

What I am not happy about is the fact that they have gone bust not paying outstanding debts and their staff but are opening a new company. I’ve had an email saying that the data held by the now bankrupt company has been bought by Lucys new company - I don’t agree with this at all and don’t consent to it

Been saying for years how awful this company is

Been saying for years what an awful company this is.

I bought a few pairs of casual leggings and one pair of actives. All very cheap see-through material and are definitely not squat proof as they claim.

As others have said, she has some very cultist fans. The owner Lucy used to brag on Facebook about her big purchases, and beg for followers to send pizza's while some staff were working late.

They have a tendency to delete bad feedback, instead of dealing with quality issues. I am not surprised in the slightest the company has gone into liquidation, as management are toxic and have a massive attitude problem.

Hiding behind her newborn is the lowest of the low too..

Quality of items declined and started…

Quality of items declined and started selling cheap hoodies and shirts at expensive prices. The motives on the shirts and hoodies peeled off immediately even after a delicate wash and line dry. Im honestly not surprised the company has gone bust.

Breaching GDPR Regulations.

On the 23rd September 2022, I emailed the Lucy Locket Loves support team and seized the opportunity to raise an alarming concern of mine.
I quote;

“One cannot search up someone’s contact details from your customer database and dictate to them, not to interact anymore on any of your social media posts… that is an infringement of their privacy & a breach of the GDPR Regulations… “

Lucy was very lucky that she was not reported back then, for asking a member of staff to do this on her behalf. Nowadays, I would not hesitate to advise anyone else that may have been (or will be) contacted *out of the blue* for no justified reason(s) by Lucy, or anyone representing Lucy, Lucy Locket Loves, or any company under Lucy Arnold’s directorship, to report them to the Information Commissioner Office (ICO).

***NEWSFLASH*** The World Wide Web is a public space and entitled people do not have any rights over it.

The same night I sent that email, I received some very strange late anonymous phone calls and my husband who answered and listened to these calls, relatively hung up on them and flatly refused to tell me what was said.

Two FREE yet invaluable words of advice for you Lucy….

Edit; Lucy flagged both of my reviews (her way of censoring) but Trustpilot reinstated them - thank you Trustpilot.

I have also contacted Trustpilot to see if they would consider reviewing the flagging process from the business end because some customers’ reviews are being flagged, requested to provide an order number - of which the company then uses to trawl their customer database to retrieve the reviewer’s contact details. And makes contact with them *outside* of Trustpilot.
We as Trustpilot reviewers should be protected, and from companies doing this - we are not giving permission for the company to contact us privately, by providing any order details to Trustpilot.

Trustpilot responded & advises;

Lucky escape!

I was going to place an order with Lucy Locket Loves but the amount of offers pushed on their Facebook page made me a little uneasy. When I woke up to a photo of the owner making her announcement that the business won’t be operational for at least six weeks while clutching her baby like a shield I knew things weren’t good at all. I think it’s shameful that Lucy has used her baby as a large part of her reason for ‘unexpected circumstances’ it doesn’t take a genius to look on Compaines House to see that there is a massive cash flow issue and a huge amount of bills that will need paying while all the business capital is tied up in overstocks. Somehow I’m certain Lucy knew what was happening and chose to continue taking orders in the vain hope that she could raise funds. I feel especially sad for the people who have outstanding orders, refunds and gift cards. It almost feels like theft… oh wait?!

Terrible

I now have a gift card that I'm unable to use as the website has been shut down and it appears liquidation of the company is likely? There's just a Facebook post from the owner stating "unforeseen circumstances" and that things will take 6 weeks or more to be sorted out. I'm sorry but from the state of her accounts on Companies House, she knew this was coming but is now hiding behind the fact that she has a newborn baby. What about all of the people with useless gift cards and orders outstanding?! She has created a cult like community and claims to care about her "followers" but obviously does not. Whatever company she opens next, I'd advise everyone to steer well clear and save your hard earned cash!

Firstly, I want to apologise to everyone impacted by this, especially our customers and the LLL Team. Despite everyone’s hard work, the challenges of the past 18 months were overwhelming, leading us to enter voluntary liquidation on May 28, 2024.

Supply chain issues, warehouse floods that caused downtime and lost stock, rising import costs that slashed our margins, and the ongoing cost of living crisis hit our revenue hard and disrupted our operations. These essentially made our traditional business model obsolete.

In December 2023, we managed to negotiate monthly rent payments for our warehouse, but by May 2024, the owners insisted on reverting to full quarterly payments, which we couldn’t meet. This led to their abrupt decision to take control of our warehouse on May 10th with no notice, disrupting our operations and leaving us without working capital.

Facing no operational ability and mounting financial obligations, we made the difficult decision to enter voluntary liquidation.

This has been incredibly distressing, particularly for our team, who were reluctantly made redundant. We deeply regret the impact on our staff and their families and I can never say sorry enough for how abruptly this happened. This has personally been the most upsetting part of this process.

Impact and support for LLL community

However, with the support of friends and family I am working towards rebuilding the business to support customers and the community who believe in LLL. Here’s how we seek to honour our community, through goodwill during this transition:

Customer returns: We will process refunds, returns, and exchanges as soon as we are able to access the warehouse in order to process them. (This is still a work in progress being dealt with legally.)
Gift cards: Gift cards purchased from Lucy Locket Loves will be honoured as & when we are back up and running.
Annual delivery passes: Missing weeks from May 10th until we resume operations will be added to extend the expiry date.

We aim to relaunch the Locket Loves website in Summer with a new look, operational hub, and new leggings designs.

This rebuilding phase will take time, especially as I am also caring for my newborn daughter, but I am dedicated to restoring the service and products you love.

Used to be a great company

Used to be a great company. Now taking peoples money and not delivering. Empty excuses as to why. No direct communication. Just an attitude of tough you’ll have to wait 6+ weeks. If they come back from whatever is going on, buyer beware.

Following their reply, this is still unacceptable. You have willingly taken many peoples money and not supplied. I can’t help but wonder if you knew this was going to happen. The reasons you have given do not happen all of a sudden and to use that as a reason is pretty low.

Update 10/6. Now the company is in voluntary liquidation and have absolved allow responsibility.
Even my last email has bounced back as invalid email address.
I wonder if they will rise again under a different name. Buyer beware.

Really bad experience buying a hoodie…

Really bad experience buying a hoodie from this company I’ve reached out just to get a tracking number ive been totally ignored and blocked on messenger but they have time to like and comment on all there posts on Facebook from people giving them lovely soppy comments but they don’t have time to deal with peoples actual enquiries about orders. I fear I’ve lost my money because I don’t think it’s going to be dealt with and looking at other peoples reviews looks like it’s hard to get a refund.

Great shorts!

The shorts are really comfortable and thick enough that they are supportive and not transparent. I never thought I’d be someone to run in lycra shorts but I’m a convert.
