I called the shop and asked for same information about the MTD field stock for my tikka t3x 204 and the chap was very helpful and gave me the product codes for the stock and the mag needed. Ordered and turned up 2 days later well packaged so hat off for that. The stock for its cost is spot on and worth every penny so well done MDT.

Outstanding service as usual
Outstanding service as usual, I have bought shooting related products in person and online and have received the same level of service on all of the occasions that I have had interactions with the staff or information being relayed in regards to my online purchases that is being sent by a courier.

Shop closed despite calling to check
Edit:
Following the company’s response, I’ve updated my review score as this was clearly due to circumstances outside their control.
That said, a simple note on the door explaining the situation would have saved me waiting around for over an hour.
Original review:
I called ahead to check an item was in stock and confirmed the shop was open until 5pm. I mentioned I’d be there in a couple of hours and was told, “Great, see you later.”
I then made a 2-hour drive to Burton, arriving at around 3pm - well within their stated opening hours - only to find the shop closed and locked up.
I tried calling again and knocked on the windows, then waited for over an hour, but there was no response and no sign of anyone returning.
After that, I had no choice but to drive the 2 hours back home.
Very disappointing experience, especially after calling ahead and receiving confirmation.

Dear Customer,
Can you let us know which product are you after , if its not firearm or explosive , I can offer you free postage.
Thank you for taking the time to get in touch, and please accept our sincerest apologies for the experience you had on your recent visit.
We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly after you called ahead to confirm we were open and then made a two-hour journey to reach us. On this occasion, our early closure was the result of an unexpected power cut affecting the local area. With no electricity, we were unable to operate safely or securely and had no choice but to close the premises until power was restored — something that was entirely outside of our control. This is not the experience we ever want for our customers, and we are truly sorry that your journey was wasted as a result.
Very good and friendly team
