We had an absolutely fabulous experience with LiveAboard! From the seamless booking process right through to the end of our trip, everything was effortless and incredibly well organised.
We chose the Croatia cruise, and every stop was spectacular. The crew were so friendly, and attentive, making us feel so well looked after throughout the journey. The food was outstanding as well!
We couldn't have asked for a better holiday and would highly recommend LiveAboard to anyone looking for an unforgettable cruising experience! It is one we will never forget!

Over £6,400 per person and they are demanding a fuel surcharge?

They want £6,405 per person or £7488 per person depending on cabin and then under extras they have:
Required Extras: Fuel Surcharge (330 USD per trip), Park and Port Fees (370-390 USD per trip).

DO NOT BOOK WITH LIVEABOARD.COM. This company pretends to have requirements for divers to book but in fact allows inexperienced/unlicensed divers to join trips that are supposed to be exclusive to advanced divers only. Numerous safety issues that were life and death. I can complain about them allowing guests to destroy coral without any discussion, but our main concerns were allowing inexperienced divers to drift from their dive buddies so that when he lost his reg he tried to pull out someone else’s, and refusing to dive off the dinghy at the same time so he smashed a guest in the head with his tank when he chose to wait until we were all off the dinghy before dropping in. He was a panicked diver from day 1, and the divemasters continued to encourage him to dive even after he went around to every other diver asking our opinions on whether he should dive or not. He also did not know what nitrox was (so clearly wasn’t certified) but they allowed him to dive nitrox for the entire trip anyway. I could go on and on, but I just wanted to warn everyone away from this company that does not prioritize safety for its divers if it jeopardizes any money in their pockets.

Exceptional all round
The work of the LiveAboard.com staff when trying to find us a good short-notice diving holiday was exceptional. They were very, very helpful and patient
The trip we ended up on, Red Sea Explorer for Daedalus, Rocky Island and Zabargad was fantastic
The bat and the staff are superb, will 100% return as I have not been on a better dive boat (25 trips or so to Red Sea in total)

Dalle recensioni online pensavo di essere in una botte di ferro, poi è arrivata la realtà.
Prenoto una crociera per il Messico per Febbraio 2026, pago la caparra all'atto della prenotazione mentre il saldo viene richiesto un paio di mesi prima della partenza, fin qui tutto ok.
Un mesetto più tardi arriva un'email di LiveAboard in cui viene indicato che la crociera è stata annullata causa inoperatività della barca e di procedere con la propria assicurazione alla richiesta di rimborso.
Faccio notare che la mia assicurazione copre problematiche relative a me non a chi organizza il viaggio, se chi organizza il viaggio ha un problema sarà lui a dover rimborsare.
Detto questo inizia una spirale in cui vengono fuori molte cose interessanti:
1) La barca era inoperativa già due settimane prima che ci venisse chiesto il saldo del pagamento, loro sapevano e nonostante questo hanno richiesto il pagamento (scorretto)
2) Tu stipuli un contratto con LiveAboard ma in realtà quel contratto non vale nulla perchè i termini valgono quelli con l'operatore della barca che sono diversi
3)LiveAboard è un mero intermediario, se hai un problema di base devi arrangiarti
Alla fine dopo scambi di email infiniti riesco a farmi dare un voucher con l'importo speso da spendere per un'altra crociera che prenoto per inizio Maggio 2026 e che alla fine dei conti non è andata nemmeno male ma:
1)Poco prima della nuova partenza riceviamo un'email che ci informa che ci sarà un supplemento per il carburante di circa 200$ (nel contratto che ricevi tra te e LiveAboard è indicato che eventuali supplementi per il carburante sono inclusi mentre se si va nella pagina web dell'operatore no)
2)Chiedo di utilizzare il credito residuo che mi era rimasto dalla precedente crociere ed anche qui subito atteggiamento ostativo dicono che non è possibile, dopo varie email approvano quanto da me richiesto (parliamo di 120$ su più di 4000$ mi pare ridicolo)
Per concludere, se tutto va bene, non sono male, se hai un problema sono problemi tuoi.

Most annoying website
i have booked many trips and never had any issue. so the company is 4/5 stars. But i am just getting really f** annoyed by their website. Each Livaebaord has different fees (0 to >400$ per week) that are listed in the text. But when you are on the overview page the prices you see from the different liveaboards are not including those fees. It's so annyoing that you have to click each single operator, caluclate the extra fees and add that up to the total for EACH SINGLE TRIP. The fees are fixed in advance, so why can you not just add them the shown price? then you directly compare. It's so annoying. I am the only one????

Had a fabulous time on our Go Galapagos…
Had a fabulous time on our Go Galapagos Cruise with Liveaboard on the Legend. Liveaboard answered my questions, had one thing incorrect but it was refunded quickly. The cruise was on a larger ship-can hold up to 100 people. We usually had about 72 people.We did all four sections, ABCD, 15 day 14 nights. We are very happy with that. We chose this boat because we didn’t want to have too much movement although that’s really not up to the boat, but mother nature, but it also had a massage therapist, which is something that I need. It also had two hot tubs which were much appreciated and a small pool. often we were the only ones on the deck using them. Very happy that we did it the way we did. Every location we visited was unique and new. We were very busy all day sometimes up to four excursions a day. don’t plan to sleep in.! Not cheap but worth every penny. We had the junior suite with two big windows. Well worth the upgrade. Can’t recommend it enough. And at the end, if you submit a review while on board the ship you get a link to see all the photos and videos that the guides have taken and the photo contest pictures that everybody submitted.

very nice experience and great dives
It was my 5th time to be on liveboard and second with Emperor. This time it was again great!!!! Truly saying I cannot find anu aspect I could be not satisfied. Booking process, payments, pick-up, all well organized. Very good condition of the dive equipment, professional briefings, well-kept boat and friendly staff. If you add nice dive experience - you get what you wanted :-)

Great comparison website that I've used for booking a liveaboard in Thailand in March 2026. All processes were easy and their communication, service and support was excellent. I will use them again in the future.

AVOID
AVOID - This company use questionable service providers who are completely unwilling to provide alternative travel dates, exchanges, refunds or credit during middle east conflict.
Countries banned travel and airspaces were closed, meaning unless you swam across the channel you could not make the trip. However; full amount was still charged.
Take my advise and use one of the many other agents/brokers.

Great Value for Money aboard The Galigo
The Galigo was a very nice liveaboard I used for a dive trip to Raja Ampat in March 2026. It offers all facilities and the staff are extremely smart and helpful!

Very good support in securing a reservation on a liveboard trip in Thailand.
The LiveAboard website was very useful to find all possible trips matching my time window and travel itinerary. After selecting my preferred trip, the customer support Team kept very good communication and ensured that the reservation would be made as soon as possible, and confirmed availability on the boat.
After the reservation and payment, I received all detail instructions and directions.

Raja Ampat on Gaia Love: A++ Book with liveaboard.com
Booking with Liveaboard.com was seamless. They communicate well, keep ypu in direct touch with the operator when needed and follow up consistently.
Raja Ampat is the most biologically diverse area we have ever dived in over 40 years of scuba around the world, with more live coral and sealife than anywhere else we’ve experienced.in a similar vein, Gaia Love is the best run and most comfortable scuba liveaboard we’ve been on anywhere.
- It doesn’t have the “romance” of the traditional Indonesian “phinisi”, but what you lose in tradition you gain in space, comfort, amenities and a stable platform all custom-geared to the scuba diver. Also, the staff is second to none in attentiveness, responsiveness, safety and diving protocols.
- Among the safety measures is a GPS transmitter issued to all divers and placed in a BCD pocket. Each one is individually assigned and registered on the boat’s bridge’s navigation equipment. Nobody ever needed to activate it, but it’s comforting to know you will be found even if swept far away by surface current.
- Nitrox, of course, as well as 15l tanks if you suck air like I do, and any bit of rental scuba gear you don’t want to schlepp around the world with you.
Tenders typically go out with no more than 4/5 divers at a time with their dive guide. Tanks and BCDs are transferred to the tender from the dive deck by the staff, stored underway (as they are on the dive deck) in cylindrical wells. Then, when ready to dive, the guide and tender driver help everyone on with their gear - and into the water you go in a synchronized backward roll. Getting back out is similarly easy: hand up your weight belt, hand up ypur BCD and tank, hand up ypur finds, grab onto the sturdy tender rails climb up the ladder - It just couldn’t be more comfortable - or kind to my 75-year old arthritic knees and back.
Back on the dive platform, there are warm showers and the staff helps everyone strip off their “sticky” wet suits and skins. Again, it could not be more comfortable. Back up on the dive deck, a cup of hot ginger tea and warm towels await you, and the staff are already busy refilling tanks and washing and hanging wet suits to dry for the next plunge. Your camera gear will have found its way to the fresh water basin in front of every station, which also has more than ample dry storage for all your gear.
If it weren’t for a reluctance to go repeatedly to the same places (whether for scuba or other international travel) my wife and I would book Gaia Love again in a heartbeat. After dozens of liveaboards and over 70 countries visited outside North America we, in our late 70s, still have many travel adventures ahead of us - until we physically can’t anymore.
Gaia Love will undoubtedly remain one of our most memorable.
All in all, an A+ liveaboard in an A+ part of the world for scuba. Highly recommended. Book early and prepare yourself for a lot of time underway to get there.

Boat tour around the Greek Islands
I booked a boat tour around the Greek islands for this summer because it was clearly advertised on their website with a 50% discount from the original price. That discount was the main reason I chose it. However, it appears to be not entirely true.They come back asking for full price because apparently the operator for this trip informed them that the 50% siscount is no longer applicable.Not sure who is to blame - Live Aboard or the tour operator, perhaps both.
This feels like classic false marketing — advertising attractive discounts to get customers in, then changing the terms later.
In my view, this is unreliable and deceptive practice. I would not trust this company/Live Aboard with my travel plans
