Saw ad on Facebook , so first checked legit and reviews ✅ I wanted a new set of hexagonal dumbbells and stand . I already own a dumbbell set with spin collars but was getting fed up with having to stop and keep changing the weights .
So finding a nice set of both a A frame storage rack and 4 sets of weights (2,4,6. & 8 KG) I went ahead and ordered (Also got a discount code so that was a plus )
Very easy order and smooth delivery . The order was split into two ( I did think of the poor courier !) so the rack came separate and the weights were split into two deliveries too . My experience has been great . All arrived and tracked easily via Evri and DPD courier services used .
Had to put the A frame together but that was literally a case of nuts and bolts . All items were complete out of the box . The hexagonal weights are very nice quality - soft smooth neoprene covers .
I look forwards to using them this week and getting on with my workouts without the stop start of changing weight plates..

Thought they were cheap but then got a £50 shipping charge added at the last minute of check out. Underhand tactics but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Had to give a specific day for delivery and they said someone had to be there in order to accept the delivery. Arranged for someone to stay at home & made the next day free to fit the gym flooring I had ordered.
Long story short, no delivery on the day, no communication & when I complained, no explanation or refund of any of the stealth delivery charge just a stock reply email.
Should have cancelled when I first saw the overpriced delivery, won’t be using them again.

Issue resolved.

Ordered two sets of dumbbells but was sent one incorrect set. I emailed and got a reply from Marco, which said that Northern Gym would organise for them to be collected on Saturday, then they would send out the correct ones. I argued that this was unfair seeing as they had made the mistake.
The weights have not been collected and I fear that this issue will not be resolved. It's a shame because the weights are a good price and the delivery was quick. Sort it out Northern Gym please.

Customer service is none existent. The wrong item has been delivered and getting any sort of response via email to resolve the issue is impossible. Would just avoid. I’ll be issuing a charge back and reporting as they are clearly in breach of consumer rights.

I ordered some gym equipment on 5/7/25 with reference number 45133, and a part has been delivered, but the major part of the equipment has not been delivered. I have emailed on several occasions, but no one is attending to me. I am really upset about this, as no one is responding to my query.
I do need my equipment delivered to me or reimburse me with the amount you have deducted from my account.

Similar to posts above poor communication. I tried to simply change the delivery address in the order as there was an error on the order. I sent an email requesting delivery address change within minutes of placing the order online. I then was told no change could be made as “it was already dispatched”? I can’t believe for a second the items weee dispatched from the warehouse within 5 minutes of the order being placed. They clearly don’t place customer experience high on their priorities. I’ll never use again.

The 24hr reply service to a query is nonsense .It doesn't exist .
I sent 5 + emails without a response .
I wanted to cancel an order because of circumstances and the return of my money.

My last 3/4 orders I’ve had an e mail to say my parcel is packed and being shipped - so super speedy and I’ve spoken about equipment too and they’ve been super helpful and knowledgeable- thanks guys I’ll be re ordering more soonn

ave ordered lots of things from Northern over the past few years - bumper plates and Olympic bar set, dumbbells, kettlebells, sand bag, a med ball and other accessories… I’ve been really pleased with everything I’ve had and find them to be extremely affordable too.
The delivery is always super quick and customer service is great. Will continue to use them when I need any gym equipment.

Having made LOADS of enquiries for my studio about ‘bigger’ brands - I found that Northern outperformed them on virtually every point.

Got 10% off a piece of equipment but still hasn’t arrived. I’d be faster walking to Manchester and carrying it back. Won’t be ordering again.

Ordered 300kg of bumper plates
Arrived and couple of the rings in the middle are faulty spoke to them and not a problem we will send someone out to collect them.
Took a full day off work and no one came to collect the faulty plates.
Re arranged (another day off work) and the collection guy refused to take them as not boxed up (no one told me too).
Now they want me to take another day off work which I refused to so they told me to return them myself no mention of paying for the return.
Not happy with the service or the plates.

I placed an order for 2 kettlebells which they accepted and I received confirmation of the date I would receive them. Soon after I'm told there will only be 1 being delivered, I asked for the order to be cancelled. They accepted, then confirmed I will receive a full refund, minus the cost of delivery. This was in December 2024, ive received a partial refund and am still owed £67.99 which was the price of the kettlebell. I have emailed them numerous times, with no reply.
