Life in Place from Anchor Recenzje 

We were shown round Pemberley Place by Sandra Jeffrey for about two hours this afternoon. We are considering whether our elderly (99 years old!) relation would enjoy living in one of their one-bedroom apartments, and there is no better way to find out than seeing them in person. Sandra was exemplary as a guide, and went above and beyond in allowing us to look more than once to revisit the flats we were particularly keen on. She was a fantastic ambassador for Anchor and we look forward to meeting her again, as I’m sure if we have questions Sandra will be sure to answer them. Employee of the month, I’d say!

Sandra was very welcoming and very patient with my parents. She was happy to show us all the apartments that they wanted to she and answered all the questions they had. It was a very pleasant experience.

We have moved into Anchor Homes Woodford .
The sales office was so helpful every step of the way.
Julie and Pauline are very caring and understanding ladies.even now when they see us they ask whether we have settled in and if they can help with anything.
Circumstance made us move but it was the right move going forward love the concept of Anchor Homes you feel you are not alone.
We have a cafe ,wellness centre , exercises classes always something going on.

Jess, the sales and marketing consultant made the process of buying the property easy. I didn’t have to find my own financial consultant or solicitor to complete the process; she managed that part successfully - I didn’t have to take her on her offer; it was my choice that I don’t regret. She makes you feel very welcome even in the early stages when you may not continue the process. This review is about her, since I have just joined the family. I look forward to a happy stay, and another great review will be written.

From our first viewing with Sandra Walter We were so delighted & extremely impressed by the quality of build & fittings we put a deposit down on the first viewing for our beautiful apartment at the Wharf Sandra Walters who was our sales consultant certainly put life in place for us where do we start The location is excellent just what we where looking for the sense of tranquility is absolutely amazing still pinching ourselfs that we are so lucky to be living in such a wonderful place the security is great and the communal atmosphere is above and beyond, Sandra who showed us around first time was so helpful from start to end and very attentive answered all our questions and nothing was to much for her we have now been here nearly three months and all the staff at the wharf James & Jackie are also brilliant the people that live here are all so lovely.
We are so grateful to Sandra for making it all happen and putting life in place.

Julie, the senior sales person, was very helpful explaining the options and showing me around the one remaining apartment.
Her support consequently was very good too.

The sales staff were always available for questions and advice as were the building management. Were kept fully informed of the completion dates and when they moved why, which allowed us to plan properly for my mothers move.

Very friendly and genuinely cared about my mothers wellbeing and ensuring the move went smoothly.

The entrance to the open event inside the grounds was not signposted clearly. The apartments lacked enough storage and did not like the wet room bathrooms. A big no no for me was the fact that the existing outside gates for a short easy access to the town centre was to be removed meaning a much longer walk around to reach the town. For someone with walking difficulties that makes it too challenging.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. Refreshments provided were a welcome touch. Presentation was clear and informative, Comfortable surroundings All questions asked were clearly answered. As always further questions arise after the event ie.

They didn't show me the house they didn't give me brochures and price list

The presentation was excellent and most of the questions from those present were answered. However there were obvious gaps in the knowledge of those marketing this development. EV charging points allocation and cost were unknowns. The development consists of 2 separate buildings, one for purchase and one for rental which are not physically linked. As the cafe/bistro and the wellness centre are in the rental building I consider that not linking the buildings is a massive mistake. I’m not the sort of person who thinks less of someone because they rent rather than buy! All flats for purchase are shared ownership only with a maximum 75% purchase, the only band where no further rent is paid. The product is good but I consider there are design flaws. In the 2 bed unit the separate toilet is massive and takes away from more useful space. The quoted reason is disabled access, but the toilet is not fitted as a disabled toilet! The shower space (wall to screen) has been compromised and I consider too narrow (I’m a 32 inch waist so I’m not talking a a larger person). Lounge and bedroom and kitchen areas are nicely designed. Service charge is currently pretty reasonable, but this will increase annually. Purchase prices are also very good. There is no buyback facility and there is a charge on whatever you may resell for, if my understanding was correct this is essentially instead of a sinking fund.
In summary a good product well priced but with major flaws. Pity, it could have been great.
Go into it with your eyes open.

Well only one flat was open to view the rest of the building won't be open for six weeks so will have to back again they should have waited until the whole building was open to see. But the flat was quite nice.

Having experienced providers in this sector , i can honestly say that team Anchor so far have been head and shoulders above the rest , Jane and Jenny have been a pleasure to liaise with making what is always a difficult phase easy to fulfil - hopefully the start of a long relationship - Tony R

I made a general enquiry about Pemberley Place in Bath on behalf of my husband and myself. The Sales Adviser, Sandra Jeffrey, replied promptly and could not have been more helpful. Her email was followed up with a friendly telephone call when she dealt with my enquiries and suggested a meeting when we were proposing a visit to Bath. Sandra was particularly understanding about accessibility issues such as the steep streets of Bath and provided helpful suggestions as to how any difficulties could be overcome. I was a solicitor and have had considerable experience of retirement developments and shared ownership. It was a pleasure therefore to speak to someone so helpful without the usual pressure to commit to a purchase.

I was very impressed by the quality of build and fitting of the apartments at Pemberley Place. The location is good and there is a general sense of tranquility.

Having not moved house for a considerable time (nearly fifty years!) and moving to a new area, we were understandably a little apprehensive about moving, but we need not have been. Whilst there were some issues and delays caused by the constructors - as ever - the team at Anchor kept us well informed with good communication. Once we’d moved in the Anchor team were really supportive and helpful. There were as expected with new buildings a few little teething problems but these were sorted immediately and the support is ongoing and proactive. The facility itself is as good as described in the Anchor literature and we’ve found the location ideal. We believe we’ve made a good move and look forward to new experiences.

Gave impression shared ownership only option, but presume that is not the case. Publicity suggests that development close to sea but it is actually a mile away, on a busy main road. Many apartments only appear to have just one bath/shower and no laundry room or washing machine (?). Sales staff professional but not sure they knew much about the area.

Although we were not allowed into our new apartment block we did enjoy lunch and meeting several of who would be our future neighbours.
