This as a scam and do not use. I also bought a hardback book and received a link to a download. Have reported them for investigation. If you have done the same contact your credit card company as they will report them and the company is fined.

I ordered 2 hard back books and was sent links to ebooks.

I contacted them immediately and have had no reply after 6 days.
I have requested a charge back from my bank.
Fortunately I took screen shots of what I ordered and their advert for hardback copies.

When I filled in the bank form the book company name came us as Libroland Poland.
If I'd known it was a foreign company I would not have placed the order.

I don't want ebooks, I like to sit and read the books in my hand. It might be old fashioned but its my preference

Same experience as other reviewers. Ordered a physical book and received a digital download. When I queried it they insisted that I had ordered an ebook and refused to issue a refund or replace with the hard copy I'd ordered although I had not opened the link. When I pointed out that their website states that ebooks are only nonrefundable if you have downloaded them or opened the link (which I hadn't done) they did not reply. Hadn't the energy to pursue any further which is probably what they intend...Avoid this company at all costs - would give 0 stars if I could

I wish I'd read all these reviews before ordering from Librolane. They are a complete scam!

I ordered a hard copy book o ly to receive a digital copy. When I queried, they argued I'd pressed the incorrect option on their website.

When checking, the scam was uncovered as the hard copy option defaults to digital once pressed. Avoid at all costs.

Librolane have been responding to me but only to confirm that it's my error and they cannot reverse the order.

I'm working with my bank to obtain a refund.

DO NOT USE
Complete scam you will only receive an e book and not the hardback you ordered and paid for.
Don't try phoning them as all you receive is an automated reply and niether avaliable option works.
Email is just as useless
If it sounds too good to be true it often is. Lesson learned.

I too have been caught out by this company, ordered a hardback copy and received an ebook. Have tried to email so far no response! I should have read all the other reviews first! Lesson learned!!

ordered a book 3 weeks ago, still hasn't arrived.

I ordered a hardback book which said on website you can but they sent an ebook which is no good as I won't be able to use that. I contacted them and explained this and asked for refund but they refused as said I ordered ebook as they don't do it in hardback but on website states they do but they still refused and then stopped replying to my emails. I wouldn't give it any stars

My aunty ordered a hardback book, she received a digital download. Their policy states you can be refunded as long as the download link is not pressed. She had not pressed the download link and contacted them to refund the price. They refused to refund and said that she had ordered the digital copy. Terrible company.

Ordered a hardcover book, paid for it only to be sent the download version. Made several attempts to contact shop who kept sending what appeared to be an automated email. Very poor customer service. What a scam!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered a hardcopy book and received an eBook. Tried speaking to them through email and keep getting the same excuse that I ordered an eBook. No matter what I tell them it's the same answer. One of the worst experiences. Would not order from this company again.

Can only completely reiterate the previous reviews - this is a scam!!!! Ordered hardback book and received e book (not even sure if this would have been the real deal). Asked for refund - met with same response again and again.

1 star is far too much. This is a scam company. They clearly delineate you are ordering a hardback then say it's an ebook after you have paid, never even send you the ebook link, refuse to refund and then refuse to answer. This is a scam and a criminal organisation who just steals money. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM.

I can't give 0 Star, joke firm, read the return policy and was entitled to a full refund as I made sure when ordering that I selected hard copy but was sent a digital copy which I DID not order, after several emails my digital copy disappeared even though I never opened the link.
PLEASE don't order from this con man/woman or you will regret it.

Wish I’d read the reviews here before buying. Pretty much exactly the same experience - website specifies “hardback” when ordering, no mention of ebooks at all… until the confirmation email where they let you know what you’ve bought.
As others, tried contacting them & they insisted no refunds but their own refund policy states that you can’t refund if you’ve accessed the download, which I haven’t. Suddenly no response.
Truly gutted.

Buyers Beware! This company is a con, I ordered a hardback book, I added it to my basket and it didn’t say hardback book, so I went back to check and added it again to be sure, I put my shipping details and paid.
Then I received an email saying how to download your ebook!!! I definitely didn’t order an ebook.
I messaged them and they quite quickly messaged me back saying I had order an ebook, I replied straight away but I have had no response from them again

Physical book ordered, eBook link received.

Purported company "address" apparently a semi detached in Wales, phone number apparently on a Scottish dial code, name that appears on credit card is apparently the same as a fishing tackle firm based in Dublin.
Emails to firm, get a poorly written auto text response, not even addressing the substance of the complaint. An online check on this company a few days back generated this:
" Librolane (librolane.co.uk) has raised significant red flags for bait-and-switch tactics and deceptive advertising"
- this consumer warning has mysteriously DISAPPEARED, along with many other negative reviews / complaints from numerous customers about eBooks received instead of the ordered physical copy.
BTW If you ring the "customer service" :-0 phone number, you are given options 1 & 2, both are auto answered and inform you to send an email!!!!!!
My question is, WHAT IS FRAUD?

E-BOOK SENT INSTEAD OF HARDCOVER. Definitely purchased a hardcover copy of John Gregory-Smith's latest cookery book. Got an email shortly afterwards saying 'Just a friendly reminder that you've ordered an e-book'. I replied immediately to say I very definitely purchased a hardcover copy for £9 and that there was clearly a technical issue with their website. Today, the following day they have said e-books are non-refundable. We have gone back on the website to see how the mistake occurred and it isn't even possible to purchase an e-book of this book, it keeps reverting to hardcover, at least from the buyer's view of the website. Now I know that this has happened to others, it will be impossible for them to deny that the problem is on their website. But suffice to say, customer service has been truly appalling so far. Avoid.

Same problem as Fiona's review...ordered hardback and received a ebook link...contacted them multiple times and told unable to change as an e product purchase is "FINAL "
But when you look at their Terms and Conditions this statement is a lie as an e purchase IS refundable as long as the link/file hasn't been opened.
I even have a screen shot of the order clearly stating in is a "hardback"
BUYER BEWARE.
