Dissatisfied
I am wanting to leave a review from my stay in Lexington, KY listed from Drea. I am very disappointed in her actions as a landlord. I am being instructed I have to pay the difference in utilities due to having to run space heaters to keep the heat above 62 degrees. Hvac companies have come to the home and stated there was a problem with her system and it needed to be fixed. The house was set at 71-72 degrees and it was staying at a constant 62-64 degrees. We have a baby staying with us and his room was 62 degrees. This is unacceptable. There was a problem with the hvac and we should not be responsible for the difference. There are air leaks around all the windows, doors and fireplace, letting cold air in. I have reached out to the landlord stating her house is too cold to live it and I have sent pictures of the thermostat showing proof of it being below 64 degrees in the house in the winter especially with a baby. It was negative 20 degrees this winter. After hvac technicians fixed the problem, there were no more issues however we are being forced to pay for her systems issues. I feel like this is unjust and I’m being forced to pay for a problem she had with her system. I should have taken her to small claims court. Very disappointed in this stay and unjust payments. This is also a VERY loud apartment, if you are nightshift this is not the house for you.

In response to your concerns about air leaks and the overall temperature in the house, we took significant and expensive steps to enhance both the warmth and soundproofing of the apartment. During your stay, we replaced all of the front windows with new ones that are both weather and soundproof, aiming to improve your living experience substantially.
