I placed an online order with La…

I placed an online order with La Prairie and paid in full. The order was never delivered, and I received no notification or update for nearly one month.
After multiple follow-ups, customer service provided contradictory explanations—initially indicating the order was delivered, then later confirming there was no delivery trace and no proof that the order was ever handed over to the courier.
Subsequently, La Prairie stated that a full refund had been processed, yet at the same time the order status continues to show “On its way” with a Purolator reference that does not reflect a verifiable shipment. This internal inconsistency, combined with long periods of silence, has made the situation extremely confusing and frustrating.
Despite written assurances regarding both a refund and reshipment, communication has been inconsistent and difficult to obtain, including unanswered emails and phone calls.
For a global luxury brand, this experience demonstrates a serious lack of transparency, accountability, and basic order control. This review is based on documented order records and email correspondence, and I strongly caution other customers when ordering online.

Dear Nordstrom and La Prairie Customer Relations,

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a serious injury sustained by my 80-year-old mother after using a La Prairie GOLD Cream, purchased at Nordstrom ONLINE. Within three days of application, my mother experienced a severe skin reaction, including facial swelling, burning, and bleeding wounds, as shown in the attached photos.

We promptly returned to Nordstrom to report this matter, expecting basic compassion and responsibility. However, we received no apology or concern, and were told she should not shop using her Nordstrom card, claiming she wouldn’t qualify for Nordstrom Notes. This dismissive and discriminatory treatment, especially toward a senior citizen in distress, is unacceptable.

Given the extent of her injuries, medical involvement, emotional distress, and loss of trust in both brands, I am formally seeking $10,000 in restitution for damages and suffering caused.

• A formal written apology from both Nordstrom and La Prairie

Buy another brand

My husband bought as a gift from saks. La prairie will not give you any assistance with products unless they are bought direct with them. $2,000 for skin care that I cannot use because the fragrance is so strong it makes my face red and I get nauseas from the scent

A brand that lost its glory

Quality is no longer there, rudeness reigns, dishonesty prevails, they take no responsibility.
We've all seen how every cream of La Prairie eventually got discontinued, right?? The cellular eye cream, the cellular face cream, the cellular serum, the anti-age boosting serum, the lip cream...
My entire eye contour area was slowly getting whiter and whiter, and it was only in 2015 that I started suspecting the "high quality" brand to be the cause : so I stopped using the cream and called Switzerland to report the now permanent discoloring (a very even whitening, exactly where I had been applying the product for 9 years)...and "strangely" enough, about a month after my call the cellular eye cream got off the market (so other customers must've reported something wrong too).
Dermatologists would've liked to try heal my vitiligo, but strangely, I don't dislike that permanent whiteness under my eyes (like a natural makeup)...except that I didn't know vitiligo skin would get sunburned so badly...and I live in sunny L.A. 8 months/year.
Because I liked their anti-age boosting serum (discontinued in '18), this winter I decided to give La Prairie a shot again (simply trusting the name!), purchasing The Night Baume (@ Le Bon Marche', Paris) and The Radiance eye cream...which got my face all pimply and red, my eyes terribly red and watery.
I stopped the 2 products Nov 22, and began calling Customers' Service in Switzerland : Jacqueline remained polite, slowly trying to disappear, blaming Le Bon Marche' department store. What had me believe in Jacqueline's honesty was she said creams CAN (!) cause skin reactions after a few weeks, (the extremely rude staff at Le Bon Marche' say rashes manifest "after just a few days"). Jacqueline, who probably has tied hands from her management, wasted my time sending me 4 times to Le Bon Marche', saying it's their responsibility (while Le Bon Marche' says it's La Prairie's reponsability).
1,615 euros ($1700) they refuse to refund.
Started calling Jacqueline @ La Prairie 23 Nov; Dec 2, she said "I'll call you back in a day or two". Today is Dec 24, never heard from her.
Stopped the two creams, and after 2 weeks my skin was entirely healed!!

Not a serious luxury brand

I have been using La Prairie for years and I wont buy anything any more from them.

First, the Website is not working properly and I didn t receive the samples which were in my basket.

Secondly, I received an item broken, the customers service is a nightmare, not answering. After chasing them, I had finally to send the item back to have it replaced: I received a huge box for a little item (very chocked by their environmental concern !) and nothing else, no words/ no apologies at all !!

This is clearly not what I am expecting from a luxury brand.

Honestly as such as expensive brand I wish to be on top of everything but this is just my wish … very disappointed… I will have to wait for my delivery 4 days including Sunday 5 and this is if ups will deliver in Monday, unbelievable is this that their website says next day delivery… sad … buy from elsewhere at least you will be sure that you will get it for sure and also you might get it cheaper

I have been a customer at La Prarie for 3 years, I don't want to say how much I paid, I paid a lot Anti-aging products are good Also works effectively well After 3 years La Prarie products no longer work on your skin Caviar Lotion Caviar Elixir Caviar cream Luxury Caviar eye cream serum These products work on your skin in a short time if you feel this stop buying them I have been a customer at Estee Lauder for 2 years now and I now receive more compliments and a better appearance

Alexis at Kingston Bentall is amazing

Today I had experienced a fantastic beauty room experience at Bentall Kingston with Alexis. She has been really professional. The whole process was amazing, she introduced me the pure gold and platinum rare range as my skin is really dry and damaged. I was so relaxed and comfortable and wanted to fall asleep. They matches my skin type perfectly. My skin looks glowing and firm after the treatment.

If you look rich, you get served !

Well before writing about my experience, I have just read the other reviews. It’s disturbing to say the least. I doubt I will ever be buying from this company after those reviews. Anyhow back to what I was going to say. I did experience a wonderful complimentary facial using Le Prarie in Harrods but I now know this experience is all Harrods and not Le Prarie. Following this experience I was in John Lewis Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent a couple of Sunday's ago and they have a Le Prarie counter there. I started talking to the Le Prarie staff member about the products when a John Lewis staff member came over with a customer and asked this Le Prarie staff member to help this customer. I was promptly left and left waiting for over 10 minutes whilst she continued to serve the other customer. I left the store. 1) did I look the part? considering their products start at over £400 for the cavier serum and 2) did she believe I had a facial at Harrods as she said facials start at £500 I do have proof of the facial as I have an email from Cindy Wong at Harrods showing the products she had used. I informed Le Prarie customer services and they acknowledged my complaint and Tatyana said she was looking into it. It’s now 8th February and still no reply. Told them to look at the cctv from John Lewis as proof. Morale of the story -you don’t have to be dressed up to the nines to be able to afford a £400+ product however their loss they are not the only facial brand on the market. Bad publicity is like a domino effect or perhaps they only want rich people wearing their products !

Let down badly by UPS

Let down badly by UPS. Online customer service I have found to be great, on the phone always very pleasant and helpful, apologetic for any setbacks. These setbacks being because of UPS, always delayed delivery, no confirmation of delivery date, the usual. I am stunned that such a prestige, luxury brand is now contracting it's UK delivery services through one of the worst courier companies, it reflects back on to them. What should be a pleasurable experience ends up ruined. Not the fault of la prairie themselves, but they need to change courier company.

I used to use La Prairie skincare in the late 1980s up to the mid 1990s. At this time their products were great. They produced a concise range of products since 1982 when they became a separate entity from the La Prairie clinic which has existed since the 1930s. Sadly I find the products now seriously hyped up with nonsense, outrageously overpriced compared to the efficiency of the products. In general I don't find the products at all outstanding. OK, there are a couple that I like but nowadays I wouldn't pay for their products. I would happily pay £500+ for an outstanding performing cream, which there are many on the market from other companies but for me, La Prairie definitely isn't one of them which is a shame because your products 30 years ago were awesome.

Product discontinued and no samples available to try something new. Looking for a new range. I contacted customer service and they advised a personal face to face consult. I have already tried two places (home town only offers one place to try) and both don't have the samples to try. i am not prepared to invest in a product that I cannot try before buying.

Horrendous! Shame on UK Customer Service. AWFUL!

Horrendous! Avoid at all costs. The customer service is a shambles! After having returned the item, they are denying to issue my refund as I didn't send back the complimentary samples, having tested them. Now guess what, "the samples have a value and are complimentary ONLY with any purchase". Hmm, great to know, and this is high-end luxury skin care brand with Swiss heritage etc.

They were also trying to put a different spin on it claiming complimentary samples are the same as exclusive offer/ gift - "according to our return procedure you must also return all exclusive offer/gift with purchase that you may have received with that order or you will be charged the full value of the GWP." I haven't received any gifts except for a few tiny samples.

When I pointed to fact that order confirmation and invoice state the value of samples at £0, and they are welcome to subtract that, they replied "In the case if you prefer to keep the samples. The value can easily be calculated by looking at the sales price of the original product and calculating the part of sample. " Yah, broken English and horrendous attitude.

What an unprofessional customer service, jeopardising the brand reputation. I have never ever in my life had such a shoddy experience.

Had to go directly to my bank to help me sort this nuisance! whoever is looking after Customer service, this is SHAMEFUL! You will go out of business gradually, but surely.

Won't buy from your company again

Thank you La Prairie for pulling down my eBay auction for the La Prairie Cellular Energizing Mist. I was half way through my first bottle and had a full new bottle in storage (I had removed the packaging as I never keep the packaging for anything) so decided to sell the new bottle on eBay. I’m going on holiday soon and could have done with the funds.
Auction listed on eBay with no problems, but less than 24 hours later, someone from La Prairie reported my listing as fraudulent as I did not have the outer packaging. Excuse me, I’d paid 108 GBP for the scent and have the original sale receipt yet you pulled it down yet you let years old perfume that has turned a funny orange colour to stay up on eBay? The perfume from my preivous bottle which is about 5 years old, so the other scent sold on eBay must be in the region of 10+ years and probably as stale as hell!
I won’t be buying from La Prairie again or bother using eBay unless I'm desperate.

Bad Packaging of La Prairie Product

I’ve recently bought La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Essence-In-Lotion while I was flying onboard Singapore Airlines Business Class, but when I landed and returned to my apartment, I opened the sealed packaging and was shocked to see that the cap of the bottle wasn’t properly closed tight and therefore some of the essence lotion has spilled out and even stained the inside of the box. I am so disappointed that there is also so much essence spilled out of the bottle already. La Prairie is supposed to be the best in the world, how can this ever happen!

They subsequently replied to me saying they can’t find the order number, and I responded saying that I bought it while flying onboard a Singapore Airlines flight and not through online sales that’s why there’s no order number. I even replied giving them photo evidence. To date I have not received a reply.
