I booked this hotel true booking.com.I landed the desk Showed my booking reference Number and I paid by my credit card in full She told me I had to pay an extra €15 and give her €100 deposit for the room It did not say this on booking.com She told me it's a fake website booking.dot com is not a fake website.I could not give her the extra 100.Euros , because I had not got it in my card So I stepped aside and let other customers check-in. She did not charge them an extra €15 or €100 deposit She told them they have the reel Website, I compared my opinion email to the next customer's email and they were from the same company.Yet mine was fake I asked to speak to the manager and got refused Several times I am now sleeping in my car tonight and cannot get a refund Please please do not book dis hotel under any circumstances

Hotel was rude and defensive in responding to reasonable questions about accommodations. Information on website was not up to date with recent changes to up charges and room amenities.

Poor customer service.

Had lunch with friends recently in the hotel and to say the amazing service we received from Jerome is an understatement. The Lake Hotel are lucky to have him as an employee. We will definitely be back to see Jerome.

This hotel was everything we could want from our break last week. From the staff at reception to house keeping and room service, everyone was helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed. The bed was so so comfy. The temperature in the room was always comfortable. The food was really good which we choose to have from room service as the view of the lake and mountains from our room was way to nice not to eat our meals looking at them.
This hotel is ten out of ten on every aspect of our stay.

I have stayed in a few hotels in Killarney over the past 4 years - a few of them 5 star. But none has had an impression upon me as much as the Lake Hotel had.

Positives:
Location. Right beside everything in Killarney.
Great views from the room - Right beside the lake
Jacuzzi in the room with an public one available outside
friendly and helpful staff
nightly visits from red deer in the grounds
great walking trails right where you stay
Homely atmosphere

Negatives:
The lift system is a bit complex. You have to know how to get to your room. But once you learn it, its easy.
Inserting the card to switch on the lights create a buzzing noise as long as the card is in the slot. We took the card off at night and then it was silent.

I would stay again. In fact, I am looking forward to it. Recommended.
