The first time I placed an order with La Herb was back in November 2025 . Yes it took a long time. Yes they did not respond to emails but when I received my order, I was extremely happy. The herbs were fresh. They tasted delicious. They make wonderful teas. I placed the second order March 2026 . I got my order twice as fast. It's not a scam. You will be really happy with your herbs. Patient is a virtue.

I ordered a lb of mimosa pudica herb and received a bag that looked like a bunch of random sticks, dirt and mulch. Not at all like pictured. It looks like somebody just grabbed some dirt and sticks and maybe some roots out of the ground and put it in a bag. Not cleaned or food grade at all! Zero response from customer support. Just wasted money.

I came here after I ordered because it was taking longer than expected and was so nervous because of the reviews I literally panicked and thought my money was flushed down the toilet. But my order came fully accurate, all herbs authentic, and the prices and packaging were amazing. I ordered small sizes to try out the company and the resealable bags are the best of their kind. They’re thick and reseal very well for storage. My order was awhile ago but it’s come time to re-up on a few that I’m running out of so I was reminded to leave a review. Will be purchasing larger sizes next time. Most likely will be my go to for any herbs etc that I can’t find on iherb (first choice) with la herb being my second choice and Etsy being my third. Thanks for helping cover that gap, with convenience, it really is a relief and you don’t have to search far and wide on the internet for individual herbs you can just go to a few trusted sites in really grateful. I used the various herbs in teas and smoothies by the way. Would recommend. Now I’ll already know to wait the two weeks for arrival. That’s not that long to wait but like I said I panicked after one week with no email update saying it was shipping and after reading the reviews. Now we’re all good. I trust them based on my own experience and I hope that doesn’t change.

Considering I ordered April of 2025 and STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER in Jan. 2026...stay away from this business. They're a scam!

I brought from this company. The order place in February and I still haven't received the herbs. This is horrible company. I want my money back.

It did take a while to ship, but not necessarily longer than would be appropriate for a smaller operation. I'm really impressed with the products I received (and I got a pretty wide variety): whole herbs/leaves/etc. of products that aren't widely carried and that you can't buy from other bulk herb suppliers. Some of the weights *might* be a bit low when considering the weight of their packaging, but we're talking like tenths of a gram off, and not worth much when the prices of the products are pretty low.

Elated that we received our order, realizing that right after I hit purchase, I should have looked up this company before ordering as they do not have the best reviews. Thankfully we did receive our Tigers milk mushroom, however, there's a few negative considerations sadly.

I give them 3 stars because
1. I do not trust any company that does not have a phone contact available.
- This is not as big a deal if you can see the people who create the products... (which they do not have)
2. we ordered a lb, which is 453gm.
But with the bag weight included on 2 different scales, we only received 439/440gm with plastic bag included, this means we we're shorted a minimum of 15-18grams, which now has to be factored into the cost of the ingredient.

And for others ordering this product,
Also know that there is no fruiting body, only sclerotium which is easier to grow (less time)

Overall the experience is ok & at least it wasn't a scam. But I do question buying from them again,

After they responded to my email which included pictures showing the missing weight, they did send some of the remainder, though almost begrudgingly it seemed. I can say that they are a real company at some level, they do respond to emails & they did (At least for me) ship what we ordered.

It's a trust fall with this company I feel.

Someone really aughta shut this place down, seeing as I never received my order, and nobody else who orders from them does, either. Had to get my refund through my payment method, seeing as they don't believe in answering emails. A good chunk of us ordering from this place have our own businesses/side hustles, so it's not only inconvenient to have such poor service, it's a logistics nightmare that adds up far too quickly. You are far better off buying from small conjure/metaphysical shops (bontanicas y yerberias), or health food stores online or in your area. Been ordering from indie magick shops for years, never had this issue in those settings, not even on flagrantly horrible platforms like Etsy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU APPRECIATE YOUR MONEY & SANITY.

Like many other reviews, it took a month to receive my product of Indian gooseberries. I received a big bag of dried out shell; I could not find a single gooseberry in the package.
I emailed them twice woth no response so I am taking it up with my credit card company to get my money back.

They will send you an order confirmation and charge your account and that’s the end of the transaction. I’ve tried to reach out several times via email re: my order and each time receive this response:

Thank you for contacting us. Your message is important to us, and we aim to reply within 3-4 business days. Usually, responses are provided on the same day but we are currently behind.

If your email is due to order status, all orders are shipped within 7 business days. Most ship within 48 hours. We are not open on weekends.

I ordered some herbs on November 5, 2025. Didn't receive my order until I emailed them and demanded a refund. The company promptly emailed me back and stated they were sending out my order. My Order should be here after 11/24. Here is what I would do with this unscrupulous company. if you haven't received your product within 10 days of the sale, and you have notified this company that you want a refund, TELL YOUR BANK TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE.

This company is a SCAM. Do not waste your time or money. Did not receive product, no e-mails answered and no refund issued.

I would rate laherbs a negative
-5 stars if possible. 100.00+ order, they processed my payment but not my order. After mints of reaching out. I gave up! I knew it was something I didn’t want to let go off. I am just having the time to make my complaint.

I am very dissatisfied with my experience and would not recommend this company.
-Order Delay: I placed my order a month ago and have not received it.
-Poor Communication: I never received a tracking number until I manually emailed customer support to ask for it.
-No Shipping Activity: The tracking number provided a week ago still shows no updates or carrier pickup.
Update as of 11/17/25: I actually received a response from LA Herbs with an apology for the delayed shipment and on 11/18/25 I received my full order.

I placed my order SEPTEMBER 26th. The website says it ships in 7 days. I needed it for items I was making on October 10th. It got here November 1st. I had to file a dispute for them to actually ship it. 0 communication. Never again.

I brought from this company the first part of Oct, 2025. I purchased Rosemary herb and Horsetail herb only to receive one correct order which is the Rosemary. I received something else instead of the horsetail. I contacted them twice, two weeks apart and they still haven't returned my email. The downside is you can't even call only emails and they don't respond back to you. Be very careful to order from them!!

No response either with phone or email addressing BIG obvious issues with my order.
Shipment was literally days turning into weeks late, beyond their own listed standards and buffers allowing for business days and all other variables.
No direct phone line to speak with a human.
Completely untrustworthy, will never do business again. Still haven't received my order or refund or contact from company as of writing this review.

L.A. Herb IS a legit company...they are just too darn good and are swamped with orders. Every healthy nut in California and the country is placing orders, and then, if they are a couple of days late, they are calling or emailing to request answers. (This is not Amazon, folks.) I placed my first order two weeks ago and panicked when it did not arrive the same week. I could not find my order number in my email. So I checked the reviews on Google and became frightened by all the horror stories. Then, yesterday, I received my package, and it was exactly what was described in their online catalog. They now have a loyal customer. I suspect L.A. Herb competitors are behind all these horror stories because the herbs I received are the best I've seen anywhere...!...I could tell someone with loving care packaged it. If this is a scam, then it is the best darn scam I have ever seen.
