They took a long time to ship my package which is understandable due to the holiday season. I messaged customer service to ask if I can pick up my order instead of shipping it out and they said I could cancel my order since it was not gonna make it out on time before I head back home for the holidays. I responded to their email within a few hours to confirm the order cancellation so that they can cancel it before it shipped and even followed up multiple times. It has been over two days at this point and despite multiple emails to follow up, I received no response at all. Why would you even offer to cancel the order if you’re not even gonna respond after? Seems unprofessional to me. Now the order has shipped and I have no one to pick it up.

My clip stretched out to the point of being unusable after less than 2 weeks. I reached out to customer service thinking it was a one-off and it'd be covered by their "6 month warranty" but they wouldn't do anything about it. I was really excited to support a local business but this experience has left a super bad taste in my mouth, not to mention them hiding reviews with constructive feedback from their website.

If I could more than 5 stars, I would! These clips are truly and by far the best hair clips on the market. As someone with long, thick hair, I have never found a hair clip that checks all the boxes for me. I have tried them all and they all either break, hurt my head or I am constantly re-clipping them into my hair. But, then I found Kov Essentials and I am so grateful I did! I own several clips (Mini daily, Daily, Soul, Sculpt) and they ALL are super durable, beautiful design/colours and are very practical for everyday wear. The brand itself has very reasonable price points, quick shipping, and have excellent customer service. This company really cares about their customer's and caters to exactly what the consumer is looking for. They have done an excellent job overall and I will forever purchase any hair clips I need from Kov Essentials; and I recommend you do too!

Great customer service! I goofed on ordering the wrong size of product, and they got back to me same day and altered my order to reflect the correct size of item.

Ordered 3 items and one of the items that arrived was incorrect. Customer service took a day or 2 business days to respond — even if you respond to their email right away. They asked for the item back before processing an ‘exchange’. It took another 2 days until they provided a prepaid mail label. This is disappointing experience as the initial item I ordered IS TAKING WAY MORE time to arrive. Also, I don’t know if by the time the wrong item returns to them, the initial item will still be in stock. The company needs to step up their customer care and learn how to take accountability for their own mistakes. They should consider shipping out the right item as soon as the mistake has been acknowledged or let the customer keep the wrong item.

A while ago, I broke a Kov clip stepping on it. I let it go because it was an accident when I was told they could do nothing after a 6 month window.

However last week another kov clip’s mechanism completely crumbled when I was removing it from dry hair. This clip was about a year old! I was met with the same 6 month warranty when I tried to get one replacement clip. This seems like a scam, these products are marketed to be high quality pieces that can withstand all kinds of things. I looked at my other kov clips and it already looks like other clips are oxidizing and will also break :( Really disappointing for how ludicrously expensive they are.

I had a Kov clip for 1.5 years and after pretty light use, the plastic connecting the two claw pieces completely snapped as I was opening it! I only wore it occasionally, for very short periods (<1 hour per wear), rarely outside, and never exercised with it on, but that didn't stop it from cracking.

I reached out to customer service and they haven't been helpful since it's past the 6 month warranty (which is confusing since they market their clips as 'indestructible').

I will add that another Kov clip I ordered previously had slightly misaligned teeth, and I reached out to them immediately after I got the order. They said that imperfections are completely normal and wouldn't offer any form of support. I've seen other companies label their claw clips with similar misaligned teeth as discounted flawed claws, so it was extremely disappointing that Kov passed this as normal especially with their high price point.

Customer service is definitely lacking and I would think twice before ordering from them if you expect the durability they frequently post about. My Kov claw worked fine while it was still intact and the spring was fairly strong, but there are other companies that make better quality, longer-lasting claws at a similar/cheaper price point like Acrasia, Machete, and Coucou Suzette.

2nd purchase from here, loved my first clip so much! This brand is so inclusive to all hair types and lengths , trendy colours , patterns , durable clasp that does not slip down ! Any bun will stay put with these, Plus comes with a warranty! You will not be disappointed with these !

I love the claw clips from koveessentials so much the claw clips are incredibly good quality and hold your hair together very well. No other brands claw clips quite beat the ones from koveessentials they are the best.

I love the KOV clips! I've started a little collection of them and once you go for the KOV clips, its hard to go back! They are always running new seasonal promotions/collections so there's always new colours to choose from.

Their customer service is good, but was a little slow at times (one of my clips broke and they sent me a new one + they had once sent me the wrong clip and so I had to exchange it). Overall, this is an awesome brand and makes me feel good about supporting a small, local business :)

I love Kov essentials. Their customer service is great. Their hair ties and clips are awesome. My gf has extremely thick long curly hair just bought her an XL daily clip. super excited to see how much she likes hers as much as i like mine. I will always buy hair essentials from KOV!!

I have super super thick hair and was kind of doughting that the clips would actually be able to hold my hair up for a whole day. But I can honestly say that they definitely do. I can leave it in for the whole day without having to redo it. It looks so good and the quality is amazing. I can definitely feel the quality difference compared to other once I've bought that have not been able to hold all my hair back.

I ordered three items based on a lot of positive online hype and because I wanted to support a small company. I'm giving two stars because of three reasons: 1) Operations: the order took longer than expected to arrive, and they insisted I use a very glitchy App called Shop to know anything about tracking. Eventually I emailed them and they provided the update, but I expect a company to easily inform me about the logistics surrounding my purchase and not forcing me into using an unknown app to which I would have to give tons of private data just to know the tracking number for a product sent by USPS; 2) Quality: One of the clips broke within 2 months. I read they were nearly indestructible- so just my bad luck?; 3) Security of data: right after making this purchase, my credit card number was stolen and several fraudulent charges made for thousands of dollars. I know it was linked to this purchase because it was the one and only time i used the card. I chose to contact them through their very active Instagram account to request support and alert them of the data breach and misuse of the card, but they took 5 days to reply and only told me to email them. I don’t have time for this kind of run around, so I let it lie (having changed the card, etc). Overall, Kos Essentials seems to be a company with numerous operational challenges that make for a customer experience that is below par at the moment. I hope they can address these core issues and continue to grow and thrive, but until then, I think it’s mainly marketing hype.

I’ve had one of their clips before that I loved since it’s hard to find a clip big enough for my natural wavy hair. I loved it so much but lost it a few years ago so finally decided to repurchase. They are amazing quality, great size and love the colors/patterns. I ordered this in a rush and was worried it wouldn’t arrive in time so I reached out to their team and they responded quickly and had it shipped out that day to ensure I would get it - great customer service. Love this Canadian brand!!

I have had this clip for 3 good years and I have never recommended a brand more. This clip is like unbelievably good. People are shocked when they hear the price but I always make sure to let them know how quality these clips are and that they are so worth it. This one clip has been with me everyday for three years and just broke today and I already purchased my next one. Here’s to the next three years or more!

I purchased my claw clip a few years ago. I have medium length curly hair and usually break a claw clip every 6months or so as it breaks from using it to style my hair or I drop it and it breaks a part. I'm so sad my clip broke today because tomorrow is wash day. I think in the end it broke due to rust as I use it on wash days and don't always dry it properly. I use this clip everyday at least twice a day and am devastated it broke so I will be purchasing more asap. This is my long way of saying you nailed it, I love your product and can't wait to purchase another large claw clip. I still have my small claw clip that is still going strong. Thanks again for making an epic claw clip! I highly recommend!

I ordered 3 clips; 2 daily clips and 1 soul clip. The soul clip is great. However the two daily clips are too large. I did the quiz several times and changed the answers just slightly as I wasn’t sure the exact length of my hair, however each time I did it I got the large clip. So I felt comfortable investing in these clips as they are not cheap. They arrived and I wore the daily clips several times to get a good assessment and my hair would fall out through out the day. My Amazon clips are actually better. I reached out to customer service and notified me there is nothing they can do. I’d recommend just investing in other brands that value their customers experience as this was a big investment I waited several months on and am left with disappointment.

These are the BEST clips that I have EVER had 1000%!!! I have thick, curly hair and have always had problems with clips either not holding all of my hair, weak hold, or more commonly, the teeth breaking off in my hair entirely. With KOV clips, I not only can get ALL of my hair in the clips, but they hold all day long and never break off in my thick curls! I have never been more happy with a clip in my life, and I don't even give other clips a second glance anymore! They're very well priced for the quality, durable, AND beautiful! I get so many compliments every time I wear my clip out! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, but the customer service, if you ever even need to get in contact with them, is probably the best customer service you will ever receive! They are the kindest people with a passion for what they do, and it definitely shows! I LOVE KOV Essentials and will be a life-long customer!

I bought my first kovessentials claw clip in 2021 and it is my favourite clip to this day.

I have the cloud clip (today’s size M) and it perfectly holds all of my hair. I love the feeling when you’re securing it to your hair because you can tell it’s not going anywhere, and it really doesn’t! I never have to worry about my hair falling out or readjusting the clip because it stays in place the entire time. I even wear it to the gym and I have no problems whatsoever.

I love the various sizes and colours the company now has to choose from to suit all kinds of hair needs. I genuinely could not trust or purchase a claw clip from anywhere else because nothing compares to the kovessentials clips. I’m obsessed!

As well, the team is very prompt and positive in their communications which makes the experience that much more enjoyable. Thanks so much for making such a great product!
