I bought this small blue Kong recently and thoroughly washed in. After placing peanut butter in it, I licked the knife and was met with a HORRIBLE bitter taste. I thought the peanut butter went bad, but its actually the Kong! I washed it again. It has a chemical smell, the bitterness comes off on my hands. I put my tongue on it and its revoltingly bitter. None of my other kongs are like this. Whatever material you are using now its an epic fail. I'd ask for my money back but I no longer have the receipt. It's got to be toxic. Got the AI run around on their website. AI offered a form to send for HUMAN conversions, it conveniently wouldn't go through because my "email was not correct", which of course it was.

Today I had purchased a 3 pack of miniature durable wall tennis balls for my multi poo puppy of 20 pounds. Within 15 minutes he had the felt off and the ball had crumbled apart. My concern is how easily the ball fell apart with shards of rubber everywhere. Don’t know how many pieces he had consumed. Poor fragile product.

Worst customer service ever! I placed an order on Mar 18, 2026, then had to BEG the company for info on my order after hearing nothing for 3 weeks. After 2 more inquiries, I received an email from Kong saying fraud was suspected with my order and to place the order again! Um, no, that won't be happening!

Purchased a few items for our dog and lasted about 3 mins
Contact in Salisbury - couldn’t care less.
We were sent a replacement which was labelled for “ average chewers “ that lasted .. guess what ! 3 minutes !

This review is long overdue! If I could give it a negative star or 0 I would.
As part of a Secret Santa group in December 2025, our dog received a small sized Kong Wubba. As the name implies, you do not know who your Secret Santa is. We have an 8 pound Yorkie who is missing her 12 front teeth, 6 on each jaw. Yet, she destroyed thus toy the first day. We reached out to the KongCompany (please note that there is another company named Kong, which does not make pet toys. )
KongCompany replied that they only replace defective toys if a receipt is provided. We went back and forth many times, and they repeatedly gave the same answer. I responded each time,explaining how we received the gift, and that no receipt was available as it was a gift from SECRET Santa. They refused to cooperate.
Our Secret Santa obviously knows us well and knew that we were huge fans of Kong toys since the 1980s, for our many dogs.
The key word is that we WERE huge fans. We will no longer do business with a company which doesn't stand behind their products...noting extenuating circumstances (like the receipt being unavailable due to it coming from a Secret Santa)
Their products used to be great. Obviously no longer. Beware!

Major Safety Hazard - Lasted only 10 minutes!

I bought the Kong Squeezz Geodz for my Husky, expecting the usual Kong durability. I was incredibly disappointed when the squeaker was destroyed within 10 minutes.

More importantly, this toy is a serious safety hazard. Once the squeaker mechanism broke, small internal "rattle" beads started falling out of the air hole. These are tiny enough for a dog to swallow or choke on. My dog is a power chewer, but a toy branded by Kong should not become a choking hazard this quickly.

If you have a determined chewer, stay away from this one. It’s not worth the risk or the money.

5 Kong dog toys down. Not durable at all. Not one has lasted more than 10 minutes with out “10 week old” dachshund. It’s baffling how companies call their toys “durable” when a dachshund puppy can get through one in less than 10 minutes.

I've bought a couple for my Eski. He destroys them within a day. However, the internal ball is instructable. Still have one from 5 years ago.

I have a lab mix puppy and have bought him 3 Kong toys and he has chewed and swallowed pieces. Iwas told that they are the best thing for puppies teething. I am greatly disappointed

Purchased a Kong Air Dog football for our 26 week old male Belgian Malinois (Uzi). Already aware of a BM's chewing ability as our 6 year old BM (Belle) destroys every toy except Nylabone. This football's cloth cover was removed 100% within 24 hrs. I was successful in retrieving approximately 75% of the material, the remainder in Uzi's poop two days later. Very dangerous. Disappointed. BEWARE!!

I don't like using this tact but I have sent multiple emails, completed multiple online forms (requesting all sorts of irrelevant information) to register a product complaint. I have received no acknowledgement or any other form of communication from Kong.

I was very disappointed with the KONG Wubba Dog Toy. It was brand new, never previously used, and was completely torn and broken by my 9-year-old dog in about one hour on Christmas Day. This is not what I would expect from a brand that promotes durability so strongly.

I contacted KONG with clear photos showing the toy was new and already destroyed, but they refused to replace it solely because I did not have the receipt, despite the evident defect and minimal use.

Based on my experience, this product is not durable as advertised. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a long-lasting dog toy.

Bought a kong air dog as kong state they make good quality toys especially for dogs that chew toys to pieces. It took my Sprocker one minute to destroy it. I have now given him another toy also purchased today at the same time and that is a different brand called Dog and Co and he has given up on it for now and its still in one piece!

We bought the Kong Goodie bone in M for our Bernese dog, who is easily a XL dog. He is a dog who destroys every toy he has ever had, the Goodie bone is the first to last. He chews on it for hours every day, and he hasn’t even made an indent or a teeth mark. We are extremely happy about this toy, and will buy from this brand again. And on top of the good quality, is was also cheep. So a win win.

This pathetic company sells overpriced crap toys that fall apart in less then a week. The felt falls off with even a light chewer. What is the companies offer to rectify this issue. Have me drive 10 mi back to the store that I purchased it from so I can find a receipt for a $10 toy that they're not willing to exchange for something more durable. What a crock of s***! The customer service lady on the phone even admitted that some of their toys fall apart within an hour. DO NOT BUY KONG PRODUCTS THEY ARE SELF ADMITTEDLY CRAP!

I bought one of their tactical dog collars about a year ago and the metal plate that connects the two ends together snapped off. Keep in mind that my dog is an inside dog and wasn't connected to a lead or anything that he could have pulled on causing it to break like that. We even use a training collar when walking him because he's very strong and can be difficult to walk. I contacted KONG through email explaining what happened and expected to this to be covered under their 3 year warranty but when they responded I was told that their accessories are made by a third party company and therefore only come with a 60 day guarantee. What if I didn't use a training collar to walk him and used that one instead? Anything could have happened when it broke! He could have run off and been hit by a car...or could have been attacked by another animal. The company's resolution to this faulty product was to issue me $10 off of a $40+ purchase at PetSmart...that's the ONLY reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Kong dog toys have always been a favourite, but I am astonished at how well the Kong Reflex Flyer is lasting. My dogs are serious about chewing and ruining their toys, but the Kong Reflex Flyer has defeated them - they just enjoy the chase as intended now

New kong toy today from jolleyes lasted 10 mins and it was the heavy duty one with a 6 month old vizsla
