Kira ai was special, as it wasn't limited by boundries (for example - specially NSFW content), with the models update, it got more stable and detailed, and in the latest one, 5.8, they put this AI in the same league as the others. A lot of requests falls and gots blocked, even just a bit spicy image creations. With the model changes, it lost what made it special.

Kira.art is hands down the worst "art" focused AI image editor I've used in my whole life. I am subscribed to the $59.95 tier so I have experience in what I am saying:
1. Poor distinction between models: unfortunately, the only difference from the models are how the models present prompts to the backend image generator. Each model does not have a "better" image generator, they are all the same. The prompts generated from the pro and ultra models for image edits are extremely short and simple. Even free main stream models, when asked to build a description, routinely generated substantially better images when the descriptions were directly fed to the backend image edit, circumnavigating the model prompt gen. The models don't think either, instant models from mainstream models think way more. These models also lack any and all features besides image editing features. I can't find any difference between a lower tier model and a higher tier model. They all lack any personality and pump out the most awful edits I have ever seen. In fact, there has been times the lower tier models made even better edits than the higher tier. Absolutely ridiculous.
2. Extremely limited img edit capabilities. The backend image generator only takes 1 image at most when editing images. Even though you can upload more than 1 image at once, the model will just interpret to other images into a prompt form and then form its image edit prompt based on that. This means edits incorporating another image is incredibly inaccurate. At most, I have had maybe 30% similarity when using simple designs to edit an existing image. All in all, it is a useless feature. There is an impaint option but there were times it just pasted the image into the masked area without any edits.
3. The quality of image edits fall substantially behind all of the mainstream models - chatgpt and others. It routinely fails to make even the most simple edits such as poses, correcting errors, and refining art. One egregious edit was when I used the Ultra model to change a bikini someone was wearing to a new style. The women, after 5 subsequent edits (it did that all for a single prompt) it spat out an image of the women with 3 breasts. It also routinely messes with body parts like adding additional fingers, removing fingers, and causing hands to grow out of inanimate objects like rocks. It is incredibly difficult for it to product an in place edit as the model routinely tries to shift an image perspective.
4. Poor memory: when you talk to a chat bot, you expect it to remember the context. The ultra and other models typically forgets things after a few messages. When asked to edit a previous image since the last generated image was messy, it doesnt remember that image and instead tries to edit the last generated image.
5. Poor style consistency: the models all are incredibly bad at maintaining style. This pertains mostly to videos. I had the displeasure of asking the ultra model to animate a still image. Literally nothing was maintained, the art style, face, character body, everything was altered.
6. False advertising: what drew me in was what the free model told me it had capabilities of doing. Some of that includes clothing swaps and more. Unfortunately, that is a complete lie. It does swap clothing but it will destroy the input image so much, all you have left is a mess. The end result is an overly smoothed, obviously ai generated slop. The moderation layer is also incredibly strict. The models will not tell you they can't block it but the tools it runs applies destructive actions to an image. This results in an image being generated, but is completely censored in how details are completely flat or smoothed over like a mannequin. This is likely the intention but the tools need to stop generating it instead of having you lose credits on a slop edit it creates.
7. Lack of features: there is almost 0 features. Yes you can generate images and videos but thats it. No settings, no saved memories, no knowledge base, no web search, no chat preprompt, no chat customization, no chat style, and no temporary chat. Extremely bare bones and featureless.

Honestly, this feels like a scam. This product offers 0 value over free mainstream models. The video generation is a nice touch but good luck getting anything out of it. I strongly recommend against kira.art, no matter any use case you may have. It is nothing but frustration and a blatant cash grab in my eyes.

Let's start with the negatives:

1. Stable Diffusion: It seems you are using it... not the best model and the results are subpar. Either improve it or provide a choice of other models; I don’t know, but what we have now looks quite unsatisfactory.

2. Request Processing Time: Each subsequent request and edit in the thread takes longer than the previous one. After five edits, you're waiting about two minutes and receiving worse results than before.

3. Versioning of Images: I want to go back to the version that was three steps ago and start making changes from there, removing some edits (a very useful feature that is currently lacking). Right now, the neural network easily messes up works, forcing you to start over.

Now for the positives:

1. User-friendly Interface: It's convenient to use.

2. Quick and Easy Start: It’s genuinely fast and simple to begin.

3. Seems Free: I couldn't find any information about models and limits, which suggests it's free. It appears to be running on my device, not on a server, as I see no confirmation otherwise and I'm unsure how it works.

In general, it's an interesting project. Keep developing! ❤️
