It is a scam. Buyer beware.

You are bombarded with information at the beginning… and are told you have six months to try or your money back. THAT IS THE FRAMING. Then to find out, when you have life circumstances happen beyond your control, you are actually held HOSTAGE to pay everything in that six months, including doing the work that you thought you could do in the first month but quickly found out that isn’t going to work… but if I want the refund I have to stay in this jail … basically kill myself to do it and can only get the full refund at the end of six months. Fact. That is NOT how it is explained during the “sales” pitch.

I have not actually finished watching the videos and completing the tasks.

In my experience, enrolling in Sophie Howard’s KPI Course felt disappointing and not worth the investment. The program promotes independent publishing as a highly profitable side hustle, but the reality is that Amazon is heavily saturated with millions of publishers. Even narrowing down into very specific niches doesn’t guarantee visibility or ranking on page one.

Inside the program, there is also a strong push to purchase an additional $10,000 one-on-one coaching package. What isn’t made clear upfront is the full financial commitment required — including the many paid tools and software you need, plus the thousands of dollars you’re expected to spend on Amazon advertising just to get a book seen.

The amount of information is incredible, the support is equally great. A lot of new things to absorb at once, and excited to work with the team.

It’s way overpriced.

The KPI Program was presented very well. They explained exactly what the program had to offer and even what it didn’t offer. I felt very confident that this was a good fit.

This course is made up of accomplished, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and supportive people all guiding you step by step in your journey, providing you with all the tools and knowledge you'll need to publish your very own quality book.

The sign up to KPI is a very smooth process and you immediately have a wealth of tools and tutorials at your fingertips. However, I feel the tools are not organised in the best way and there is no differentiation between the needs of new and existing clients, and there appear to be many hidden extras.

I decided pretty quickly that this wasn't for me though and to be fair to KPI, having quoted UK consumer legislation that allows a 14 day cooling off period, I received a full refund in a timely manner.

I’ve tried several of these ‘build an online business’ programs. This is the first one that’s exactly what they sell you it is. The thorough training and easy access to coaches are top notch. A good value for the investment. Enjoying learning and I’m excited about publishing books!

Lots of useful and practical information delivered by experts. Video tutorials are easy to follow, and lots of support is provided.

This course is extremely thorough and to the point, with real live (actual human) supports. I have learned so much useful information and I'm only two thirds of the way through! Plus it provides wonderful ongoing tools to use.

I initially signed up through a FB ad, and followed a few free webinars. Then eventually saw the Kickstart programme which I signed up to. This is only approx $100 so I thought appropriate. They give you a success call which I thought was good, but turned out to be an upsell to a $13,500 course! Then there is the actual investment in having the book made. I am on the regular mailing list and seeing spot-lighted books. I have to say the quality of these generally doesn't look set for success or give me confidence in the course. I had asked to speak to a current student to get a live testimonial, but was told it wasn't possible. I would like to think if students were successful or were finding the course beneficial would be happy to advocate. I wanted a live testimonial as the 5* reviews here all speak to the course content (volume) rather than whether it was proving successful.
The $100 course also did give you some framework, but nothing you couldn't get for free online. It is missing huge chunks of critical strategy and advice (that you can also find online).
Shop around as there are competitors where there seems to be more success for students and at a lower price point and with less constant upselling.

Mentors are knowledgeable, but their training videos can be edited and streamlined. Although the apps are powerful, multiple stand-alone apps make the process cumbersome.

During the information sessions at no point was it made clear that further investment was required. I requested cancellation, however as I had not completed the contract I was not allowed a refund. They did allow me to halt the transaction after the first payment with the possibility of returning to the program but I did not really feel happy about this. Be warned about the further expenditure requirement to an already expensive program.

While the program is very clear, step by step and well thought out, I thought that it was being oversold that 'anyone' can do this which l don't think is true, and this is admitted after you sign up. Also the 180 day money back guarantee that is with the initial marketing doesn't make it clear that you need to have published at least 1 book and done the whole course first. There are also many recommended subscriptions and fees that were not upfront in the initial marketing adding to the costs overall of the course, or the fees costs were downplayed somewhat. While I absolutely know research is essential in making this course successful, I find it a bit dishonest to have to speed read books to give them reviews to help increase my own reviews. It seems like a bit of a game that needs to be played. I had thought about getting a refund earlier, because it seemed like you just publish anything and hope it sticks, but looking at why I wanted to do this, I am still committed in putting out books that I believe and feel confident in and not just 'whatever'. I have a drive to get out a certain type of message in my potential books, and so I am staying with the course with this in mind as I can see the course material overall will help me reach my goal in getting these books published and marketed. It's early days yet, so I hope by the time I finish this course, I can give it a 5 star review.

The course are very well done. But there's a lot of information to learn

I requested a refund. Coincidentally I ended up being hospitalised after I had signed. Hence missed the initial meeting to go through everything !!

I spent my time in hospital worrying about the Program and whether I’m really suitable for it. Decided after much stressing that I wasn’t. I’m a senior citizen, 71 yo, retired, not on a pension, so my money is what I live on!

Anyway, when I emailed and asked for a refund , I was told ———Cannot do that!! So this has left me even more Stressed!! They obviously CAN DO IT, BUT CHOOSE NOT TO!? And if this Business earns their money in this way, then I would say they are a scamming business? I must admit when I watched Sophie’s internet Spruiking of this Business, she sounded very positive and assuring it was a great way to make money!
But my circumstances changed very dramatically after I had send me money (not my choice😩) and now they are refusing to refund me even before I got started!

It’s very expensive to join. If you want to use the program to its fullest, you will need to purchase additional programs within the program. These additional programs will cost thousands of dollars more. When I requested a refund and termination of my membership, I dealt with an extremely rude and inconsiderate agent named Ayesha. Overall it was a horrible experience. I would not recommend this program.
