Dangerous keteles e-bikes
We have a keteles k800 e-bike, it developed the typical 'error code 2' fault that many see. We stripped the electronics down to find the fault and also the cause of the problem - a wire-to-wire short inside the main wire harness, it caused 50V to be sent down the serial connection between the display and motor controllers, both controllers ended up with burnt SMT components.
We discovered keteles do not use copper wires, they use that horrendous cheap chinese stiff steel wire, no copper wires in sight !
This main wire harness short problem is quite common on keteles e-bikes.
Be warned, their e-bikes are dangerous, an investigation is going to start in the UK. They are a fire risk.
