I have had 2 beautiful puppies from Kelly’s and they have both been happy healthy delightful puppies who have grown into loving companions.
I would definitely return in the future.
Lots of information given at time of purchase and viewing without appointment was an added bonus.

Puppy Farm ! Pups are taken from their mum's and brought here from Ireland. When I brought my dog home had to go to vets straight away to find out she had kennel cough and ear mites. Vet said paper work looked good but it was a posh puppy farm and to report them. AVOID.

This is a puppy farm! The parents are kept in absolutely deplorable conditions and are treated horrifically. If you care about dogs and are responsible enough to own one you would not buy from here. ALWAYS see the parents before buying a puppy and make sure you see where they live. Puppy farms find loopholes and can be licensed and ‘legal’. Not to mention dogs from puppy farms often have issues later in life. Anywhere that has multiple breeds and won’t show parents are places you don’t buy from so you don’t continue to fund the mistreatment of adult dogs! In this day and age there’s no excuse to buy from, or run, a puppy farm.

Puppy caught kennel cough from Kelly’s, I have heard from several other owners that bought around the same time as me that said their puppies also had kennel cough, that show’s irresponsible care from Kelly’s. My poor pup was so very poorly, it took him almost 2 months to clear it. Spending hundreds on vet bills in my first week as a pup mum is not what I signed up for. Poor pup was having such a tough time with it, he was prescribed metacam and codeine to cope. We also had to delay getting his 2nd jabs done as the vet said he was too poorly to have them when they were due. This means that he needs a top up 2 weeks after his second jab to make sure his immunity is good (more ££ on top of it all). He is my first puppy and what should have been an exciting time was filled with stress and fear. I’m so relieved he is over the worst of it and feeling better now. Although he is perfect and the light of my life I will never be buying from Kelly’s ever again.

Iv tried to contact Kelly's Kennels and all the numbers are invalid. Iv sent an email and no response. Is this still active ? How do I get in touch with them!

Buy from this puppy farm - if you want life long development problems for your dog.
Reviews that come from new puppy owners will be delighted with their bundle of fun. The trouble comes later in life, behaviour problems which are renowned text book symptoms from being raised in a puppy farm.
The lack of socialisation as a puppy will cause long term damage to a dog’s development. We have spent £thousands on training for our puppy, which the professionals point out to issues from not buying from a ‘genuine’ breeder. Kelly’s kennels do not give puppy’s the socialised start in life a puppy needs. Being kept in cages with the other litter isn’t enough (ours was in a mixed cage of breeds btw) they need to be allowed to experience all kinds of normal things, not just being caged.
Buy at your peril! You have been warned

Remember this is a business- quantity = profit.

my concerns have stemmed from a few things including seeing them questioned about buying puppies from other breeders in Ireland on their pages and seeing comments disappear. If they have an Ireland site then what is the issue…

I have a beagle I rehomed which originally came from there (based on the ‘pedigree’ paperwork I have).

Based on the above I had a DNA test done on them and findings matched others concerns:

1. Not full beagle at all- so the ‘paperwork’ which really is just a print out from Microsoft word seems fictional (paperwork also claims ‘pedigree’)

2. We found siblings thanks to wisdom panel matching DNA….funnily enough that have come from a source in Ireland- one has a heart murmur and mine has early onset spine degeneration due to its genes.

Please avoid handing anymore money to these types. This is a business and the dogs are the products it’s a numbers game here over quality. Please look for a reputable breeder or the many rescues out there (many tears rescue, beagle welfare etc).

This is a trading standards issue if you are going to tell people they are getting one thing ‘pedigree/purebred’ and they get the opposite.

By definition ‘A pedigree dog is one that has parents which are both of the same breed. These parents must be registered with The Kennel Club’.

Based on the dog I have and the ‘paperwork’, this term shouldn’t be used, yet this is the document title.
I’ve passed it onto the KC and would advise people approach with caution.

I visited the Kennels twice to view a Male Beaglier and on the second occasion I came home with Female Shorkie, she picked me so I had no choice, She's brought so much chaos, noise and mess to my life and I wouldn't swap her for anything. I can honestly say getting a puppy is the best decision I've made in a long time, I found the kennels and staff where great for me. I'm actually considering getting another one for Molly to play with and give me five minutes haha 😄

We pick up a cockapoo from Kelly's the nice warm welcome we had was lovely looking at different puppies we set our heart on a lovely cockapoo female we called her penny she is loving being in her new home she is very playful and just loves us all definitely recommend Kelly's they did the upmost for us on our experience thank you 😊

We bought a female Maltipoo from Kelly’s Kennels in January. The puppies there are all lively, healthy and friendly. The place is scrupulously clean and all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Our puppy has just turned one and is a complete delight with a fantastic temperament. I would highly recommend this place and would happily buy from them again. We bought an older puppy at a reduced price and I was offended by someone referring to these dogs as rejects. They are just a little older, but still beautiful. Our girl is complimented on every walk or outing for her looks and behaviour.

We bought our yorkiepoo Poppy from Kelly’s on 2nd September. She’s an amazing little puppy and settled in so well. The staff at Kelly’s are really helpful and puppies are well cared for.

We bought our westie from Kelly’s yesterday, she is bright alert and healthy, very well nourished and a really good example of the breed. We have kept westies for over 20 years and one of our dogs had a pedigree with best in show and several best in breeds, a friend of ours is a member of the Scottish westie owners group and she has also said that our new puppy is a beautiful example. I was impressed with the cleanliness and staff at Kelly’s as all the pups were well nourished and healthy. I would recommend Kelly’s to anyone looking for a pup as their policy of not selling dogs for show or breeding is excellent and stops dogs being I’ll treated.

We were made to feel very welcome by the staff we travelled along way to chose our lovely millie. We had read all reviews on line and went to make up our own mind.I myself can only speak of what i saw puppies clean happy playing some asleep assurance with checks on the sleepers. but all very healthy the girls were so very helpful.Different breeds were explained to me there different behaviours what to expect. very knowledgable lady helped us.Letting me know it doesnt just end at your purchase follow up calls and checks from them that millie is ok.Thankyou kellys kennels and the lovely lady who helped us. She travelled in the car all the way to newcastle so happy. We have now taken her to the vets two days after this review. The vet has said she's the right weight her heart tummy joints are wonderful ears teeth the lot thankyou Kelly and Yr team

Purchased our dog from Kelly's a month ago. I really can't find a negative aspect whilst dealing with Kelly's.
As for our dog, she is the most enchanting little dog you could ever wish for.
Couldn't recommend Kelly's more highly.

Could somone from Kelly's kennels be honest about where the puppies come from? Lots of comments about abuse/ over breeding but nothing open and honest from the place itself.... Looking to buy a pet for home but would like to be informed first!

Reply to comment: thank you for your reply, please don't think I was implying any accusations because I wasn't..... There is alot of information already to read..... Is there a way to see the adults dogs that are breeding? To put people's mind at rest? e.g walking around the area etc?

Why are you buying from these breeders think of the poor mother more than likely having litters all the time just for them to line their pockets with money go to the animal shelters

We bought our cocker spaniel in summer 2021. I was very sceptical after reading comments about puppy farms etc but when we visited all the dogs appeared clean and well cared for.Staff were helpful. Our boy chose us and can honestly say he is the most beautiful ,friendly well behaved dog. Hes also a typical spaniel.Hes just turned 2 and is the heart of our family.

We bought a gorgeous cockapoo on Saturday 24th June and he’s been an amazing additional to our family! The staff were friendly and the paperwork provided was thorough. I even received a follow up text today to ask how he was getting on. The place was clean given how many puppies/doggies were in there.

We bought a puppy off these guys on 22nd may, after a week or so developed a nasty cough and was extremely poorly, pet plan wouldn’t pay out as he was
Poorly in the first 2 weeks, I contacted Kelly’s kennels and they have paid back all vets fees we’ve had for the poorly pup,no questions asked, extremely grateful.
