I was so excited to receive this item…

I was so excited to receive this item and preordered several weeks ago. It arrived yesterday, I was disappointed by the quality, considering the price I would have expected more. The colour of the bird on the duvet isn’t very definite it blends in with the backgrounds, had I seen it in a shop I wouldn’t have bought it

We’ve taken a close look into this following your review and can confirm there hasn’t been any issue with the batch, the product you received matches the design and colouring shown on our website. The softer, more blended tone of the bird is an intentional design choice by our team, created to sit gently within the overall pattern rather than stand out too boldly.

This quilt is actually one of our most loved pieces and is often sold out, with many customers sharing how much they enjoy its subtle, calming design. That said, we completely understand that design is a very personal thing, and it may not be to everyone’s taste.

If you feel it’s not quite right for you, you’re of course very welcome to return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, as long as it remains unused and unwashed.

If you ever have any concerns, we’re always here to help and would be more than happy to assist directly.

Printed fabric with few stitches

These are advertised as quilts, but they are not real quilts. They are simply printed fabric with a few stitches, which is very misleading.
The return process is also disappointing. I have to pay for the return shipping myself, the returns team takes about a week to reply, and the refund is processed up to 10 days later. Overall, a frustrating experience.

We’re sorry to hear you felt disappointed and would like to clarify a few points for transparency.

Your return request was received on Saturday 17th January and we responded with the return address on Monday 19th January.

The parcel was then delivered to us on 26th January, and your refund was processed on 28th January, which is within the 2 working days timeframe we communicate once a return arrives with us.

As stated in our returns policy, customers arrange return postage unless an item is faulty.

The construction and product details are described on the product page, and we’re sorry if the style of quilt did not meet your expectations. Our quilts are designed to be lightweight and breathable for children, and we’ve received many positive reviews from customers who love them.

We’ve also now introduced a returns portal to make the process even simpler and smoother for customers.

I love kabode

I love kabode. I spent a lot of time trying to find non-toxic natural bedding for my children, the problem was when i did find something it wasn't very exciting. My son loves dinosaurs so when I found kabode I went for it and I'm so glad i did. The bedding is lovely and so soft. I've just done my daughters bedding now she's moving to a single and took advantage of the ultimate bundles. I kept convincing myself they didn't really need the quilts too but I got them yesterday and they are beautiful. I'll use them as extra layers in winter and alone in Summer. Everything is amazing quality, beautiful and super soft. Customer services were also brilliant when I asked to get a Dino quilt in one of the sets to match my sons bedding despite the main duvet set being for my daughter.

I almost didn’t buy from Kabode because there wasn’t anything on Trustpilot and I wasn’t sure the site could be trusted, but the recent John Lewis partnership made me go for it. Very glad I did - they are the real deal! Very quick postage, great quality and lovely to deal with. Thoroughly recommend.
