They never showed up. I called to get an eta right before they were scheduled to arrive. The guy kind of laughed and said, we don’t call the guys unless they don’t come before the end of their window. When I called at that time the girl said she couldn’t get a hold of her manager or anyone, would I mind waiting another half hour. I did wait. No one showed up or called. The worst part is a drove an hour to this appointment and had to sit in my car the whole time. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever received. I wish I could give negative stars. Wasted day.

I requested a pickup on Sunday for the next day and got an immediate response. They arrived right when expected (actually contacted me that they were on their way). They were friendly, polite and worked so fast! I plan on using them again in the near future! Would definitely recommend.

Jeff & Preston called before arriving to verify pickup. They were kind, curtious and effecient. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Also impressed by their next day service.

I called junkluggers for an estimate to remove a square grand piano. Two people came out walked the path and quoted me a price of $1,200.00 I had other quote of less than half that price so I mentioned it seemed high.
They proceeded to tell me it was too heavy to move and would probably take a t least four guys to do the work. They never got back to me after stating they would speak with their manager for a confirmed estimate. I ended up hiriing A-1 piano movers, Three guys came and removed the piano the next day and did an excellent job. They charged me half the price Junkluggers quoted me. Would not recommend this company.

I first want to say that I had no problem with the two men who came and did the work. They were courteous and professional, so I give them a good rating.

That said, the ordeal with the organization was a far different story. Upon arrival, I was hit with additional estimates not mentioned in the initial phone call with the agent. I explained to the agent what the contents of the apartment were in that initial conversation. She gave us quotes based on truck sizes. She did not mention that there was an extra fee for the mattress, nor did she mention extra costs for lounge furniture such as the recliner we had. Each was quoted as an additional $30 & $35 more. Then we got hit with an added $100 fee for a "long haul". If the people have to carry the merchandise a distance over a certain specification, they tag on this fee but it's initially undisclosed. They also mentioned there was a packing fee despite nothing being mentioned to me on the phone call. They said they packed things for you in the call. The packing fee was immediately waived since I had already boxed up most of the items and only needed to box up two more with my own boxes. The employees did get to the apartment in the quoted timeframe but very near to the end of it leaving me to stay later than I had hoped. I was stuck in a position of having to get the job done so, I felt I must help to expedite the process. Overall, it took more than 3 hours with my help. I'll be fair and state that it was a 2nd floor apartment, but I did mention that to the agent.

We just received the list of donatable items, and it was far less than what we donated. Some items listed were not even amongst items we donated. A lot of decent cookware, lighting, decorative items and furniture were amongst our goods and no mention of them were on the donation receipt. They don't even offer up a listing of things taken on site. What happened to all of that stuff we were hoping would find a new home? In addition, their trucks were hardly geared to carry a full one-bedroom apartment. U-haul trucks are significantly larger, and they are closed containers. Junklugger's trucks were open bed and only about 8' x 10'. While in the end, I did pay less in the quote by protesting, I still paid more than what was stated as their maximum over the phone. I'm not very pleased with their organization given very poor communication and lack of detailed listing of things donated.

UPDATE: We did receive a full listing now of items donated and a revised receipt, but I'll note that there was no offer to give at least a partial refund for all our troubles. Despite this rectification, I still have problems with how the whole issue went down. Be cautious with this company if you choose to use them.

They charge more than a lot of other removal services. the come with a small truck with a bed that measures 8' x 10' and wanted to charge me $296 for less tha n 1/4 of the truck. The 2 workers that came with the truck were nice and I have no complaints with them. I think the price I was charged for a small amount of stuff was out of line.

Used them twice - June and Sept 2024. The experience with the guys who come out was good. But trying to get a charitable receipt is a lot of work. The website says 14 days but you have to follow up multiple times and then the receipt is for 1/10 the amount donated (the true charitable and not the junk). Seems odd. The website should be updated to reflect how it is really working. I even replied to their survey over a week ago and never heard from anyone. Lori-Ann who I booked appointment with said there is nothing she can do but will pass my info along. Again a week and haven't heard from anyone. In June same runaround until I finally received the receipt. I never write reviews but felt I needed to let people know.

0 stars if possible. My appointment was for 8am-10am and they were suppose to call me 15-20mins prior to arrival. I called at 9:52am and was able to reach Jessica. She said that she would call me at 10am to confirm their location, that did not happen. I called again at 10:18am, reached JJ at the north carolina office, he said the pick up team did not answer. No one could have called and just said that they were going to be late, like super late. I am not paying for this pick up. They have wasted my time.

Had thousands of dollars worth of furniture and small appliances collected. All were a year old or less in perfect condition. Never received a tax receipt. Looks like there was no effort to donate.
Tried to contact the company only to get an email bounce back.

Wayne & Dillon from Lexington Kentucky Branch, were professional from the get go. Fast efficient and a great price. I would hire them back in a second.

I chose junkluggers because I had a lot of good things but did not have a large enough vehicle nor time to take to donation station. Junkluggers advertises that they will donate what they can and junk the rest but provide you with an itemized receipt of what was donated. A lady and her 2 sons arrived in a car and then a truck and driver came as well. The minute they arrived the woman started going through all the items she liked and she and her sons loaded those in her personal vehicle and put the other items in the junk truck. She even asked her son's to choose what video games they liked right in front of me as she went through all my decor. I asked her if they would be donating the items she put in her car and she said I would be provided with an itemized receipt of what was donated within 2 weeks. That was 04/23/24, it is now 06/04/24 and I never received anything. They DO NOT donate any items for you. They keep them for themselves.

My wife spoke too Brian from customer service. He explained everything in detail. (Excellent) He had his men stop within hrs too remove furniiture. The two men that arrived were EXCELLENT. Highly recommend this company.

After 8 hours of waiting for someone from the Load Up service (with a scheduled 3/2/23 pick-up date) that NEVER ARRIVED, plus, 3 hours of trying to reach a Load Up representative via multiple email and text messages, on-line Contact Us forms, and phone calls (each time, I was placed on hold for >/= 30 minutes), I also contacted another San Antonio removal service (Junk Luggers) that was willing to donate to charities (e.g., Arms of Hope) and/or refurbish my older furniture items.

At the last minute (i.e., at ~ 5 PM on 3/2/23), I spoke with the Junk Luggers scheduler (Antonia) who jumped through hoops to get me scheduled for a next day pick-up with LESS THAN 24-hour notice (i.e., BEFORE the new furniture was to be delivered in 36 hours), plus, accommodated my work schedule (after I already wasted an entire day off waiting on the Load Up service that NEVER ARRIVED)!!

The best part of the Junk Luggers service was that I was able to actually speak to someone, plus, they sent email & text message updates (including phone calls) on/before they showed up on time.

FYI: Junk Luggers does offer a Military discount, but, their cost is per truck (NOT per weight or the number of items for pick-up) so their total was 1.75 times higher than what Load Up quoted (but again Load Up NEVER arrived; whereas Junk Luggers showed up ON TIME and with less than a 24-hour notice, plus, donates to charities and/or refurbishes items to prevent placing non-degradable items into the waste dumps).

Every part of the process with contacting and dealing with the Junk Luggers company and staff was exceptional!!! I wholeheartedly recommend Junk Luggers and will use their service again when we eventually remodel 2 rooms!!
