USELESS PRODUCT TOPPED WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

While away, our biscuit unfortunately got a puncture, and we made a special trip into town and brought the JOBE repair kit in the hope of fixing it quickly. However, the patches were extremely ineffective. The adhesive was barely sticky and would not hold at all. Each patch lifted almost immediately when we attempted to inflate the tube.

As a result, the product was completely unusable and, quite frankly, a waste of $20. It was frustrating, especially given the inconvenience of going out of our way to purchase what we expected to be a reliable solution.
I contacted support TWICE to be completely ignored!
I understand it’s only $20 but it’s not the point- we paid for a product to solve our problem - we also the 40min return trip for a useless product!
FOLLOWED BY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

A complicated order made simple

I was ordering parts for some very old skis. The customer service helped me promptly understand how to do this (since I live in the US but have a European address). Some of what I needed was out of stock, but the promises made about notifying me when ready, and prompt delivery, all went exactly as described. It today's world, this is rare!

Quality products

I bought my first SUP 6 months ago and took it out for several trips. The SUP feels robust and packing and unpacking it is really easy, especially with the pump.

Could not get VAT refund

Could not get VAT refund and net invoice for my company although I specifically asked it and wrote it in the comment section of my order during payment already and before the product was shipped. Not ever has it happened with any order from EU as a business customer we have a right for a VAT refund by EU law. There is also no reference that Jobe doesnt do vat refunds before ordering or in the general terms of the webshop. As a result we lost 300€. This info should be addressed to the customer before buying and shipping.

Return process clunky at best

Ordered some shoes - no where does it say that they are US sizes - so beware of that.

If you then need to return for any reason its a very frustrating process.

You have to organise and pay for your return - if you don't want to wait several weeks for a replacement you have to place a new order - so I then had to pay shipping (I didn't on my first order as I had other items so was FOC shipping). The customer service do reply in a timely manner but after going backwards and forwards several times I have given up and just accepting the additional £9 of shipping I have paid to return and buy the correct UK size shoe, because I value my sanity. Needless to say I won't be buying from them again.

Also they received my return 9 days ago (confirmed when I emailed chasing up) and have yet to get my refund.

**EDIT TO ADD** reply to this review below made me laugh, this is the generic email address I had been having a conversation with and I got a reply from 2 different names - one who said they would have to speak to their colleague when I stated that I was told my postage would be refunded (like they couldn’t access the entire conversation and read the responses…. Not how CRM’s and email chains work) then was told that as i hadn’t paid postage initially there would be no refund…. Which wasn’t the query. The query was the postage I repaid to return the incorrect size and then the postage I paid to ship the correct size back out.

I think the attention I received from the Jobe staff was excellent. No complaints at all. The dealer, Windermere Aquatics, were also excellent.

Zapatillas Jeep de Jobe

Compramos las zapatillas de agua Jeep para mi marido y para mí antes de verano. Sólo nos han durado 1 semana sin que se rompa la malla que llevan por la zona superior. NO RECOMIENDO comprar estás zapatillas!!! La malla es súper débil, en cuanto vas 2 veces a una playa de piedras, se rompen. Después de gastar 80 y pico de euros en cada par, al menos esperas que tengan una durabilidad decente.

Worst customer service ever. Do not buy from JOBE.

I bought a SUP from their website thinking it would be easier than retailers—huge mistake. They charged me twice, refused to handle the mistake properly, and made me wait to return the extra SUP before issuing a refund. No apology, rude replies, and repeated shipping errors with the wrong paddle leash.

I even considered buying a second SUP from them, but after this nightmare, I went with "Fanatic" and the process was flawless.

I checked Reddit and saw many others have had serious problems with their SUPs breaking in the water. I bought a more reliable brand to avoid this, and I’ll stay close to shore just in case—this company is untrustworthy.

DO NOT buy this brand. The 5-star Trustpilot reviews are misleading. I only write negative reviews when a company truly deserves it—JOBE checks every box. Some employees even acted like they were doing me a favor, when the mistake was 100% theirs

This was my purchasing experience; the SUP is for my wife, so in a couple of months—after she uses it, and hopefully it doesn’t break—she will write her own review here about the SUP and whether she recommends it or not

I had a fault with my SUP

I had a fault with my SUP. I contacted Jobe and spoke with Victor. He was absolutely brilliant. They sent me a replacement the same day which I am looking forward to using. Thank you Jobe. I would highly recommend them and their products!

Disappointed

I own 2 of Jobe seascooter for a few years now. They working flawless, I have to say.
I bought them from different retailer, costco.
Few days ago made first order on Jobe website, signet up for newsletter. Received code for free gift.
Used it with my order, but they never sent a gift, just the ordered part.
Really disappointed...

De la vrai mer2

On pense y mettre le prix et prendre de la qualité mais c’est faux une vrai mer2 !!! Elle se s’est décousu de partout dessus au bout de trois sorties!!!je voyais des fils au début pendre à l’intérieur entre le tissus et la partie gonflable j’ai vite compris lorsque la toile c est déchirée d’un peu de partout entre les renforts des poignées.je déconseille d’acheter cette mer2 qui est hors de prix en rapport aux nombres de sorties mer2 effectuées.dommage on ne peut pas mettre de photos à mon avis c’est fait exprès

warranty issue with my SUP

I had a warranty issue with my SUP YARRA 10.6 (the seam had com undone). I received quick, friendly and competent feedback from start to finish. Communication with the JOBE team especially with Victor was very pleasant. After I submitted a video clearly showing where the air was leaking, JOBE immediately honored the warranty and also promptly shipped a new SUP. 48 hours later the new SUP was delivered. I'm very happy and very grateful for this great service.

2 x Jobe Leona a waste of money

**Update**
I contacted Victor as per his response to this. He asked for pictures and a warranty claim to be sent over for each board. Very quickly he responded to advise he was shipping 2 replacement boards and a couple of free gifts by DHL. These have arrived and I am very happy with the response Jobe had to my issues. It took less than 1 week to resolve this issue to my satisfaction. I thought it was only correct to share this given the unfortunate issues I experience with the SUP's and how well Victor resolved this.

Completely disappointed with the Jobe Leona SUPS we purchased at the UK dinghy show. They have only been used 5 or 6 times and never left out in the sun. When not in use they are packed into their bags and always washed off with tap water after use. The first exploded and split a seam where clearly the manufacturing process was not good as the overlap was smaller than the rest of the board. Jobe customer service were emailed and not interested and could not suggest a repair shop. The repair kit with the board would not help with a split seam about 5 inches long. The second board has even more issues with the center handle coming un-stuck and the fin cover coming un-stuck. I thought at the price I was buying 2 quality SUPs and Jobe would be a good company for assistance should any issues arise. Could not have been further from the truth. I should have purchased much cheaper boards like my friends. Who have used theirs more and they are still like new. I can't recommend anything about Jobe as my experience is they seem to charge top prices for inferior poorly manufactured products. The only good thing has been the bags. These will be useful to put the boards out for trash. Nearly 1000.00gbp down the drain. Looks like the good reviews are from people with 1 review - go figure!
