Gym is really well equipment , well maintained. Never have to wait for any equipment however my times at the gym is between 9am - 11:45am as work starts at 12 ;) the only downside i would say no cold... Zobacz więcej

Decent gym but far too busy
Decent gym but far too busy. Groups of 5-6 standing round using the same machine. Impossible to get a planned work out done at peak times, just end up doing what ever is free.......or what looks free, to find out someone is using but is over the other side of the gym using something else at the same time! Infuriating!
Full of people more bothered about checking them selves out rather than training. I train to de stress I genuinely leave the place more stressed and frustrated.

Good gym with modern equipment and…
Good gym with modern equipment and plenty of bench space. Couple of older machines in there that take away from the aesthetic, but all functioning as well as the new stuff - so need to replace.
Could do with a better sized area for body weight work when the large rooms are being used by classes (hard to get proper stretching or core exercises done in a pre-work time slot)

I have recently joined the gym and I am really enjoying the classes.
I have recently joined the gym and I am enjoying going to the classes.
I really like how there is no need to book a class and you just turn up.
The class instructors are punctual and professional.
I haven't explored the gym equipment yet but I plan on attending an induction to learn how to use the equipment.
It can be a bit difficult to find a parking space on an evening so will need to remember this when attending a class as don't I want to be late.

Does the job.
Gym looks good, however is often VERY busy.
Machines okay, not the snazziest with proper screens or key tracking etc, but do the job. Weights pretty well catered.
Gents locker room has a smell, needs a good bleach and a dehumidifier, but showers work and you can always get a locker.
Not location specific - app is poor (see App Store reviews), would be nice if it told you when it was busy like Gym Group.
Would be happy to pay a bit more for a bit quieter gym with higher end kit of kit, but keeping the overall vibe as prefer it to Gym Group and Puregym.
Haven’t visited other local JDGyms to compare but will do.

Management are rude
Management are rude! on my last visit my phone was dead and was standing outside of barriers for 5 minutes pressing the green button. Once the young gentlemen came out the door I was not greeted but more confronted with sarcasm and acting as if I was stupid, I was reluctant to give feedback but I’m upset.
Will not be returning

Nice gym
Nice gym, great equipment and nice and big in a good location and plenty car parking. But this gym is just always BUSY no matter what time of day.
Also have to have a smart phone with the app to enter which shouldn’t be allowed as what happens if you don’t take your phone or don’t have a smart phone? Service is poor inside too for getting a code. Need to go back to codes that they used previously so people don’t need to have an app.

Easy to join up
Easy to join up, went for first session and a look around last night. Lots of equipment available and several machines still available at peak times. Lovely locker and shower facilities, good class options also. Plenty of car parking available. Washington T&W gym.

It is great to hear all the positive points you have made about our gym in Washington, especially about the team there as they strive to create the very best member experience, each and every visit.😊
We love to be able to offer 24/7 access at our Washington gym however due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas). For this reason we do keep the accessible changing facilities open throughout the night for all you night owls who love a midnight workout.

Very Dissapointed
As a person who mostly attends classes JD gyms have failed to remain competitive in this aspect .Due to offering one of the worst instructor pay rates in the area they are failing to attract instructors to teach classes which has resulted in the class timetable going from the originally advertised 300 per week down to 100 per week with no variety, and I doubt its even 100 per week at my local gym.
This failure on top of poor investment in a dated studio has caused class numbers to dimi ish, JD are only concerned about cramming as many people into the main area as possible. I already know instructors who have stated they stopped teaching at JD due to the poor hourly rate they get.
So if you want classes or to be stuck waiting for posing kids to stop sitting on machines while doing little I wouldn't bother, I doubt I'll be continuing with my membership until JD stop being cheapskates and start being competitive.
Apparently they improved rates for instructors down the country, but again in the North Eaat they refuse to.

Downgraded since last time I was there
The signal in the Washington gym was bad and the boxing bag area has been removed since I was last visiting. Both huge downgrades and the only thing I enjoyed above PureGym in the area. Now I would say PureGym is better overall. In addition, it does get busy, QR codes are hit and miss and the dumbell area is always out of arrangement since no-one puts their weights back. Lastly, the bench press machines have 2 height levels and are not good for people of different sizes.

Decided to get fit/health reasons
Well never been to the gym in over15yrs and was diagnosed with pre-diabetes a few months ago and decided to change my lifestyle and get a bit fitter and decided to join jd gyms to change as its only 5 minutes from where I live so taken the plunge and went for it. And it's great your open 24hrs as sometimes I wake up at 2am I just go and pump the iron.
