Terrible service/ bad communication/ misguided.

After being “temporarily suspended”

Prove all this review. )
I had not heard anything back from the general manager for 10 days.

After I told him I would file a complaint for my consumers rights being violated- he changed his inital statement to “you had been permanently suspended.
When clearly this was something they would “review”
So I don’t appreciate rather than owning up to his shortcomings- the narrative being changed…

Should have taken accountability rather than trying to say it was predetermined to shut me down 😂 when i had his previous email quoting it was
“temporary and under review” .. this needs to be looked into.

Additionally being a member for 5 years across the 5 years I had left weieghts out 3 times.. I don’t see this as a fair reason to permanently ban a member. I didn’t harass or harm anyone- which is something that would lead to a permanent ban.

Due to the customer service I will be raising a formal complaint.

via an ombudsman or any applicable service as it’s fallen short form every angle
- the follow up
- the change of narrative from general managers shortcomings
- the reason doesn’t even seem so fair for such a harsh verdict.

I would also like to thank them for helping me and my family (whose memberships I will cancel)to find a better gym in Nottingham which I’m enjoying !

Very nice staff and people

I love JD gyms!! I went for about 2 years and then moved house so swapped to a different gym closer to me. I hated it, the equipment was old and clunky and something was always broken. It made me really miss JD so I cancelled my membership and rejoined JD gym (despite it being a 30 minute drive). If thats not a testament for how good this gym is then idk what is.

Its exactly what I need from a gym. Good quality, reliable equipment. A nice atmosphere and aesthetic (its very clean looking). I would say its kind of like an upgraded version of pure gym / gym group, with better equipment, more space and a nicer atmosphere.

Great equipment and a range of things to use but loses a star because the heating seems to always be on

It’s a good gym being going here for couple years but I BEG please get a new hip thrust machine. It’s was too large for women in 5”7 and for it to train my glutes i feel need to be hanging off. The strap is massive therefore has been tied and there’s a massive ball that digs in both me and my housemates have large bruises from it. Honestly considering doing elsewhere

Enjoy the gym very big, you could do with having a gym APP to show how many people are in the gym & having a sports energy water refill drink machine& some wipes for the benches&

Jimmy, one of your team, introduced me to the gym and explained everything.
It is well equipped and cleaned constantly.
A very good experience so far.

Easy to get in staff are brilliant great atmosphere in gym

It's just a really nice gym, there's a room with lots of space for group workouts or if you just have a spacious workout.

However, perhaps equipment like half dome balance balls or skipping ropes would be nice.

The ladies-only section is completely empty. I was expecting it to have at least basic equipment like a barbell or a hip thrust machine.

Dear JD Gym Nottingham

Following on from my previous feedback, I would like to raise an additional issue regarding the showers.
In winter especially, the area outside the showers becomes uncomfortably cold when exiting. I would like to see a heat vent installed to ensure adequate warmth in this space. The goal is to prevent the sharp temperature drop when leaving the showers, particularly during colder months.

Please ensure that the vent provides sufficient heat to address this issue.

Great gym, spacious, love the new equipment in the gym.
Was made to feel welcome in classes, and whatever ability you are, options are given, they can be as challenging as you want. People are friendly.

Lovely place to be meet new people and connect to same minded individuals and have a brilliant classes to attend with amazing coaches and mentors and friendly staff

Coach Zena is very punctual and serious. She masters how to manage a group of different ages, profiles, and abilities. The classes are at the same time challenging and amazing. I feel evolving with Zena's circuit sessions.

On of the best gym in Nottingham really like the guy name Jimmy very helpful I had a lot of questions asking from jimy always help me.

Decent gym with good equipment; however it is unfortunate that there is a lack of water facilities, and also that the changing rooms are locked into the evening. People are forced to leave their belongings on the gym floor, making it difficult for wheelchair access and presenting a big safety hazard.

Convenient and good gym. A lot of space for plenty of people. New machines aswell! Very aesthetic too and always clean. Just wished the app was abit more informative!
