We couldn’t recommend James and Lee Ltd highly enough. They carried out a complete renovation of our 1970s house, which was very dated when we bought it, with woodchip wallpaper throughout, old radiators and bathrooms, as well as completing a rear extension and front dormer. It was a significant project and we are absolutely delighted with the finished result.

James was brilliant to work with from start to finish. He was incredibly responsive, approachable and genuinely seemed to treat the project as though he were working on his own home. We actually moved out of the area for around six months while the work was taking place, so much of the project had to be managed remotely. James made this incredibly easy for us. He kept us updated, was always available when we needed to discuss something and gave us complete confidence that everything was being looked after even when we couldn’t be there in person.

One of the things we particularly appreciated was that James wasn’t afraid to challenge our ideas or suggest a different approach if he felt there was a better way of doing something. His experience and advice throughout the renovation were invaluable, and there were numerous occasions where we were very glad we had listened to him.

Going into such a large renovation, one of our biggest concerns was the budget and the possibility of costs spiralling as the work progressed. James was extremely transparent throughout. If anything arose that would result in an additional cost, he discussed it with us beforehand, explained the options and made sure we were happy before going ahead. That honesty and communication made a potentially stressful project feel much more manageable and gave us a huge amount of confidence in him.

We also really enjoyed working with the wider team. Everyone who worked on the house was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with, which makes such a difference during a project of this scale.

Most importantly, we are incredibly pleased with the quality of the work and with how our house has turned out. James and the team completely transformed it, and we genuinely enjoyed working with them throughout the process.

We wouldn’t hesitate to use James and Lee Ltd again and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering a renovation, extension or building project.

James fitted our new kitchen. Very helpful throughout, from liaising with the kitchen company to providing support and ideas with our particular planning requirements. All of the various members of James’ team were excellent - fitting, electrics, plumbing and worktops. Work was undertaken in clean and tidy way and I appreciated the care and attention to detail. And they dealt with my numerous questions! Would definitely recommend.

We have worked with James and the team for over 7 years on a range of small to large projects. We instantly recognised his eye for detail and his ability to lead teams to a high standard. They have a unique mix of keeping the build efficient together with the attention to detail, which makes all the difference. We are absolutely delighted with our finished bathrooms and the work carried out on our roof. Very professional and friendly and no question or request was too much for James and his team. Overall, outstanding service and we are already planning on using again for further work to our home. Can't recommend enough!

Really pleased with the quality of the work, the organisation and project management. Left the site clean and tidy every day. Came daily with the exception of a couple of day so felt we could fully trust them

James and Lee started our loft conversion while we were away on holiday last year. Our first time using them and a bit of a risk considering we weren't even in the country but they kept me updated which put my mind to rest. The whole build went smoothly, they kept to the time frame stated and most importantly within the agreed budget. I'd happily recommend them so much so that I'm planning on using them again to do our kitchen extension later this year.

Our flat roof was of considerable age and following some leaks, we decided to get it replaced. The team were fantastic when on site, very friendly / polite and efficient when working! James took care of organising everything and the new roof looks great! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
