Very poor service from Jaecoo…
Very poor service from Jaecoo (Particularly Stoner Motor Company in Gillingham, Kent).
We had our car delivered in early June. Just 5 days later and less that 400 miles in, our Jaecoo 8 came to a complete standstill in the middle of the road. We got error messages on the dashboard stating there was an issue with the battery leaking.
We called the Jaecoo emergency breakdown number and waited 2 hours for their recovery team to arrive (RAC). In the meantime, my wife and I had to direct traffic and politely explain to people coming out of their houses offering to push the car to somewhere that wouldn't block their narrow road that the car was locked in the "park" position and it had absolutely no way of being moved.
The patrol man managed to somehow get the car started again and assist us in getting home.
We booked our car in to Stoner Motor Company. Their earliest slot was 3 weeks down the line.
I called 2 weeks later to confirm what time they'd want the car in to them as I'd need to arrange with the recovery people etc. Only to be told that i wasn't on their bookings list. (It turns out the receptionist that booked me in hadn't done her job properly and had since left - these we're the words of the new receptionist).
So, new date given (they tried to give me a new 3 week date but due to my complaint, they brought it forward).
Since its been with them;
The service manager that was dealing with me has left the company.
A new manager Louis has taken over. Ive had several discussions with him (he can talk for England). Broken promise after broken promise. Blaming a lack of staff and using head office for delays in technical support. Ive been told that they've removed the seats in the boot, the carpet, the rear bumber etc - great! The car hasn't even covered 400 miles.
The car still isnt fixed and its now been over 2 months - yes 2 months!!
Ive sent Jaecoo UK customer services 2 emails explaining everything to them in detail with dates etc hoping that someone senior might be able to step in and do something about this but as of yet, nothing.
I'm now at the stage where this car will be getting rejected.
I expect to see this car on Autotrader/Cinch sometime soon. (Like a few other Jaecoo models with very low mileage- makes you wonder why!).
I absolutely do not recommend Jaecoo. I absolutely do not recommend Stoner Motor Company in Gillingham. Lies, Broken promises and badly managed.
