Inter Voice Over 

Une très bonne introduction au métier d’artiste voix off, beaucoup d’humour, d’exercice pratique et bonne ambiance avec les participants et l’équipe d’Inter Voice Over, lieu du workshop très bien choisi. Néanmoins la réalité du métier a été abordée de façon honnête et lucide.

Everything that martin covered with us all from beginning right to the end kept us all interested and even when we left a lot of us talked to each other before going our separate ways on how we,d love to of kept on going like a college class and hoped that this wasn,t going to just be a one of situation as this is deffinatley a new path in life I would love to pursue and your course made us more than welcome and comfortable and the surroundings were comfortable too!

The trainer earned instant respect of the group. He clearly had vast industry experience, he was also friendly and remained extremely professional throughout. A really good speaker and group facilitator, I genuinely found him to be an excellent trainer. I also thought it was an excellent venue choice in terms of quality, location and facilities. The cost of the course was not prohibitive and represented what I would call good value for a professional training course.

Good location for the workshop and experienced workshop trainer. Lots of explanations; lots of examples from the trainers' many years experience. Excellent advice and encouragement to all attending the workshop.

My experience at Inter Voice Over was truly inspiring. I was able to gain techniques and skills on how to improve my voice with a skilled and very experienced trainer. I was provided with scripts that I could use to practise.

The introduction presents an in-depth process on how a voice over actor could start their career and how clients and business scout voice over talent. There are group exercises which help the voice and the ear by listening on the different ways the mouth and voice works.

The location was brilliant. An amazing building choice to host a fantastic workshop.

The presentation slides were clear and precise which allowed me, as a learner, to follow easily.

I would definitely reccomend anyone thinking to pursue this as a career or even something to get some extra cash. This workshop covers many avenues on how voice over work can suit you best.

The workshop gave a good high level overview and a taste of what the voice-over business is all about. The trainer explained a lot of key elements of the BUSINESS of voice overs which is what I came to learn. I have over 14 years of experience in the South African voice market but know nothing about the UK. The industry has similarities to South Africa but Glenn covered nuances for the UK that are important to know.

Fantastic training with an experienced actor who really knows the business of voice acting.

This is a good introductory workshop to the world of voiceover. Organisation by Inter Voice Over was good prior to the event, with all relevant information and details sent via email. The venue itself was perfect in terms of location and the wow factor. Teas and coffees were readily available and much appreciated. The trainer was friendly, jovial and informative and the workshop itself was interesting and a decent length of time.

En plus de maîtriser parfaitement son sujet, Martin était accueillant, drôle, et a pu répondre à toutes nos questions. Je ne savais pas du tout à quoi m'attendre, ne connaissant rien aux voix off, mais l'atelier fut un véritable plaisir !

L'atelier était complet, il contenait des informations générales, pratiques et répondait à toutes les questions que je me posais - et il y en avait beaucoup, puisque je suis novice en la matière.

La première partie, informative, fut très complète (définition du travail de voix off, explication de ce en quoi cela consiste, coût approximatif de l'équipement nécessaire pour un studio à domicile, explications du déroulement des séances en studio d'enregistrement, aperçu des tarifs, etc.). La seconde partie de l'atelier, pratique, fut particulièrement ludique, Martin nous encourageant et nous dirigeant afin d'obtenir différents résultats en lisant des exemples de textes publicitaires.

J'ai sincèrement beaucoup aimé cet atelier! Le cadre était également très agréable.

L'atelier était dynamique et enrichissant, je n'y ai pas vu le temps passer. Le formateur était dynamique, passionné par son métier et très encourageant.

Warm welcome, made me feel at ease. clear explanations of what was going to happen in the day and followed through. Inspired me to want to pursue further. Demonstrated opportunities in the industry, explained via his career what jobs could be available. How you could develop and strengthen your voice, how your phone can assist i.e voice audition. listening to yourself and setting up a home voice centre!

C'était la parfaite introduction aux voix off : aperçu du secteur, des compétences nécessaires, explications quant aux outils et matériaux requis. Sur cette base, il est possible de se lancer et de créer ses premières démos. Des explications claires et simples sur les bases du métier, les débouchés les plus habituels et les premiers éléments de tarification. Le formateur a su créé une synergie dans le groupe et l'ensemble de l'atelier était vivant, ludique et amusant.

Your company chose a very good venue and the class room area was very conducive to a good learning experience. Employing VO artists to train is also genuinely comforting when deciding if this is the line of work you want to pursue. Glen was
a very inspiring and enthusiastic trainer. He obviously loves his VO artist work and was able to give us a good all round insight into the world of VO. His work with us in sounds and speech was invaluable in whether or not we have a VO suitability and where
to go from here.

The workshop was the right length for a detailed introduction and gave us all an opportunity to practice and develop our skills. It also highlighted the fact that a career (or side career) is absolutely possible if you put the work in and go about it in the right way. Martin gave great notes when we were reading as a group. He pushed us to try different ways of conveying the message and also to be more emphatic and step outside our comfort zone. His tips on warming up the voice were excellent and made a difference and he gave good insights on the industry.

I was very impressed with the outline and structure of the afternoon and would find it hard to suggest any improvement. Just what I wanted! Glen was very professional and welcoming to us all. He is obviously very passionate about his work and this came through in his teaching approach and his desire to explain as much as he possibly could in the four hour programme. Well done and thank you Glen!!

I found the tutor Glenn was human and spoke to us all like equals explained the positives about the industry but also explained it isn’t easy, so kept it real. Was also very friendly and gave me some really interesting ideas.

The Lesson itself was also very informative and I especially liked the hand out sheets we all got explaining the phonetic alphabet.

It was very fun. I was shown an in-depth view of the voice-over world.
