The Saffron Walden team helped us secure our dream property!
Peter Cuffaro was professional and integral throughout, negotiating on our behalf and keeping us updated with the progress. No query was ever too small and he was always prompt with responding.
Charlotte Cannon was also most helpful throughout the whole buying process. She was with us from our very first viewing on the property right through to the day we exchanged and handing us the keys. She was consistent with weekly updates and keeping in contact with all parties. She was readily available when needed and was prompt to act on any queries regarding the buying process.
The whole team including Claire and Abi were always very professional and polite when answering the telephone and responding to our calls.
We would not hesitate to use Intercounty again but hopefully it wont be anytime soon as we are totally in love with our new home.

We were very pleased with Inter County at Stanstead and, in particular, service above and beyond normal levels. We were selling from a distance so the very helpful team made this much easier than it might have been - particularly in the context of the virus. OUR PROPERTY WAS NOT AN EASY SELL. Thank you Intercounty SAFFRON WALDEN. Although our house had its charm, limitations meant we needed a specific buyer. The team worked very hard to find us the right person. Every viewing was carried out professionally (other agents in Saffron Walden we worked with to try and buy a house with sometimes didn't even show up, and let the seller do the viewing without prior discussion) with our potential buyers on our property from intercounty managed very well. We were also given honest feedback on our house too so that our expectations were managed well. Other agents that we listed the property with prior to intercounty miss managed our expectations when valuing and listing the house (possibly to get the listing) and also miss managed our expectations when it came to relaying potential offers coming through.
Intercounty Saffron Walden did not just deliver a better service but they provided a faultless service, putting 100% into every viewing, each feedback delivery, and they kept us updated every week with what they were doing to sell our house (something that also lacked from other agents in the town).
Intercounty did not just get lucky with finding a buyer, they had to work hard and also exceeded our expectations with the offer we received on the house because of good buyer management.
Furthermore, our chain ended up being extremely complicated and through no fault of their own it nearly fell through, but the team worked very hard to work with 5 parties, estate agents and solicitors to get it over the line when we were on a very strict deadline.
The whole team were extremely patient with us when we were worried about whether we would complete in time but they were always on the end of the phone and email when needed, and they were always friendly and helpful, and never got frustrated with us demonstrating exceptional patience.
They have a great network across multiple offices closer to London which was useful when finding someone relocating to buy our house.
We also bought a house through Intercounty Saffron Walden and they managed that without fault, still giving their time to let us into the property after our offer had been accepted.

We recently purchased a house being sold by the Saffron Walden branch of Intercounty and could not be more impressed.
Peter, Charlotte and Clare were absolutely fantastic. Peter was our main contact and so helpful throughout (we were first time buyers), he called each week to ensure we were happy and provide any updates, he chased the solicitors but most importantly it felt as though he cared, took any concerns we had seriously and was extremely reactive even on days off!!! What was also hugely impressive should Peter have been unavailable Charlotte or Clare would be more than happy to assist and knew exactly what was going on at all times.
It was a pleasure dealing with the team at the Saffron Walden branch and I could not recommend them highly enough.

We chose Intercounty in Saffron Walden during the COVID crisis as we had decided to sell our buy to let; we wanted an estate agent that were still operating, responsive, picking up their phones and one that was motivated to sell our property, it may sound simple that you expect an agent to pick up their phones, but trust me, COVID did not prevent this branch from operating as if we were in normal times. Intercounty, namely Charlotte, Clare and Peter were absolutely amazing, communication was always open, honest and regular, text messages were sent to inform us of pending viewings and also a very useful market report was provided. I can't begin to describe how motivated the team in Saffron Walden are with buying/selling etc one's property, they literally do everything including chasing the chain, solicitors, making sure the vendor is updated and it's such a personalised service that you feel that they are very much part of your sale process. They give honest feedback, they provide rational to a vendor's irrational thoughts and are always open, honest and very transparent. I absolutely would recommend this team if you want honesty and reliability; also a team that care about what your trying to do with either your purchase, sale or even a let. Charlotte in particular who was our main point of contact was always available, phone, email and even after hours discussions. For me, when dealing with such an important decision and process in regard to houses, I sincerely trust this team to do the best for me; equally you can contact them even in times of crisis due to a delay in the chain or other house sale matters, they are always available.

We were not happy with the service provided by the Dunmow Office of Intercounty with the management of the letting of our property in Dunmow from 2019 to 2020. We paid for the 'preferred' service and although 2020 was obviously a difficult year due to Covid 19 the service we received did not live up to our expectations. I would not recommend.

Extremely pleased with the service received from both George & Luke on lettings. They both went above and beyond to ensure that our first move went as smoothly as possible, especially during such unprecedented times. We can highly recommend Intercounty's wonderful lettings team at Braintree!

Can’t thank Jack, James, Olivia and Helen enough for all their help and assistance in selling the house. All staff were friendly and we were always made to feel welcome. Our house must have won the Guinness book of records for the house most viewed! Our thanks also go to Doug who helped in the final stages of the house sale as sales negotiator. He kept us updated of progress in a timely manner. He was always of a cheerful disposition.

Peter and his team were a delight to deal with throughout the entire sales process. They worked hard to generate interest in my property and they sold my house quickly at a good price.
What stood out the most to me was how the entire team were involved and in sync (Clare, Charlotte, Abi and Peter) to get the job done. You can tell they are a tight-knit team focused on results.

We let my mothers house with Intercounty in
Gt Dunmow in 2019 with their ‘preferred service’.This was not a success by any measure.
They did not communicate with us, the tenants were appalling, (the other agents interview before letting,)but Intercounty did not, and every disaster which we encountered had to be brought to their attention by us.
Another time I will go elsewhere.
We have complained but have received no clear explanation yet for why their service was so poor apart from the times we are going through. The other main agent is working well though and their staff keep in touch by telephone and use email, as we transferred the sale to them.
Thank you for saying you will support us, we are still waiting......no calls or emails yet.

Having recently exchanged on our property sale, we found William and the sales team to be professional and made the process from entering the market to point of sale as stress free as possible.
The final stages of the process from agreeing a purchase price to exchange were handled by Doug Whybrow and his communications and persistence was second to none. Doug was always available to answer any questions we had and provided updates as required.

I have just completed the purchase of a property through the Saffron Walden branch. Throughout the process of looking for a suitable property, the Intercounty team of Abi and Clare stood out as they were really proactive and helpful in helping me find somewhere that would be right for me. This was a unique experience in a busy market where every other agency never seemed to do more than the bare minimum. Once I found the right property the team went the extra mile to help get everything sorted out. In particular Peter, was a real star in helping to solve any problems that came up along the way and was constantly supporting me to drive the process forward by liaising with all the associated parties in a really effective and professional way. Any time that Peter was not available I was really impressed that Abi was always able to be equally as helpful.
I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property in the Saffron Walden area.

We are about to rent a house through the Great Dunmow branch. We have never rented before, as we have always owned our property, so were quite anxious to find a property which meets our criteria. I hardly ever write reviews and people are quick to complain and slow to give praise so I felt I had to do this review. I contacted all the agents in Braintree and surrounding area and by a country mile George at Intercounty was on a different level to the other agents I spoke to. Of course I want a much better property than I can probably afford, who doesn't but the help George gave me was the single best bit of advice I have been given. He was so knowledgeable about renting, asked me questions others didn't and suggested I write down a list of needs and wants explaining these are two very different things. He suggested that I should focus on my needs property wise and if he could find a property that covers my needs then the essentials are covered and I might be lucky enough with the odd want included. I told him in an ideal world I would like three bedrooms as my daughter lived with me and she had a car but I walked to work so I wanted plenty of parking. He then said ok thanks for that so let me explain what I mean. Ok you have a daughter that lives with you who drives, you walk to work in town so essentially your NEEDS ARE two bedrooms and parking for 1 car ideally within walking distance of town or close to a bus stop so you can get to work but you would like an extra bedroom and more parking if at all possible but overall the 3rd bedroom and parking for cars you do not have may not be essential so these become YOUR WANTS. He suggested I look at 2 bedrooms with parking as a starting point and maybe beyond if viable. I was amazed at the level head on his shoulders and wondered why I had never thought of it like that and why none of the other agents had got into my mind like George. I started to look at my way forward with a much clearer and with a realistic head on and indeed he is so right so rather than trying to find the impossible I am now looking at properties I can actually afford and as long as my needs are fulfilled any wants included will be an added bonus. Thanks George for focusing my mind you were so helpful and if at all possible it will be Intercounty I rent from and not one of the other agents.
