New name, same crappy service

Yodel have changed their name to In Post!

I ordered a pack of padded envelopes from a London based trader on eBay. Dispatched via Yodel/In Post and scheduled for delivery on Monday 22nd June. Following the tracking on the all new ‘In Post’ app, the order was due between 1900 and 2100. On the GPS map, the delivery driver came to a halt at around 1800. Yodel/In Post now claim that the order was delivered at 2036. Strangely enough, no delivery photo is available. I received no knock on my door and no footage of any delivery is shown on my CCTV. There is no sign of any package anywhere on my property.

This is not unusual for Yodel and it appears that despite the name change, the same poor service is set to continue with In Post – I’d estimate the number of failed ‘deliveries’ from them in the past couple of years or so has now reached double figures. I now have to go through the eBay seller to arrange a refund and order elsewhere. How this delivery company is allowed to operate is beyond me.

Not always reliable, very average

They are not always reliable and parcels I found can sit for 1.5 - 2 days before they are picked up and then even if local can take 4 or 5 days to arrive. Previously the parcel was about two hours away and three days(working days) and still waiting.
Currently I have a parcel that is going in the opposite direction to where I live, Lutterworth from Borehamwood, when I am in South London 🙄

Inpost have become a very poor service…

Inpost have become a very poor service lately. Several parcels are sent all over the country, actually going further away from the actual posting area only to be totally lost.
Since taking over Yodel they have become an extremely unreliable service and the customer service you get is dreadful.
Sad to say but I will be turning to other carriers as this service is only heading one way
.

Wrong item received

After previously given positive reviews of this service,I have had a negative experience.
Sold an expensive pair of sandals on Vinted. Buyer received a dress!
Vinted could not/ would not help. Impossible to speak with Inpost. Buyer was refunded immediately, and I was out of pocket. ( I did eventually receive compensation but I had to fight)
One day I happened to see the men collecting and delivering the parcels - there didn’t seem to be any system to ensure the parcels were correctly labelled. As the lockers were emptied the parcels were thrown haphazardly into the van. Then new parcels were put into the lockers with the same process in reverse.
I did more research and discovered it’s a common occurrence for parcels sent via Inpost to be lost or mixed up.
After that I changed shipping options to home delivery only.

Dreadful customer service

Bought 3 items on Vinted to be sent via InPost. Three messages to say they were ready. Two worked. Third one opened on cat food.
Customer service number goes to AI voice which just asked for parcel number over and over but no progress. Chat bot asks for phone, email and parcel number several times them says someone will get back to me. Let’s see.
Rating is primarily for Customer Service, which is non existent. When delivery works it works fine.

Since giving a good review sorry to say…

Since giving a good review sorry to say an item put in inpost on 3 May has still not arrived. The track says it has been collected by courier then nothing! I should not have to wait 25 business days before doing anything I needed the item. No help when I called them I was just told there was a delay but no reason given. No help at all.

A terrible campaign, and the customer service is very bad. The product I bought on eBay was delivered by Yodel because I wasn’t at home—and by the way, that’s also a terrible company. Then eBay apparently worked with InPost. They took my package and put it in a locker. To collect it, they say “enter a PIN” or “scan the QR code.” I scanned it—the PIN was wrong, the QR code didn’t work. Then it said “come back later and scan again.” I went again and scanned it. Since I had already scanned it once, it said I had scanned too many times. I tried again—still wrong. It’s all nonsense.

I don’t recommend InPost or Yodel to anyone, at all. It’s a complete waste of time. Their customer service is terrible. They don’t help, they just don’t care. So when buying from eBay, everyone should be careful—don’t choose Yodel or InPost, seriously. It’s a huge headache. They still haven’t delivered my product—it’s been two weeks.

Absolute nightmare.

Absolute nightmare.
I am losing my patience with this company. There is no accountability just platitudes. Everytime I ring, I’m constantly told the parcel will be there tomorrow - it never is. I’ve sent parcels and one took over a month to be delivered. I’ve made a formal complaint, that’s not even acknowledged. Just ignored. Word is getting around on vinted - probably one of their biggest customer bases that they’re wholly unreliable. I will be removing them as an option on my Vinted account because it is nothing but hassle. Communication is inadequate. Parcel updates are inaccurate and misleading.

Excellent!

Please can someone tell Royal Fail that waiting Weeks or Post and parcels is unacceptable when you have a system like in Post that is this efficient!

Parcel left outside on path

Parcel left outside on path, partially behind a plant pot but visible from the street, in front of house .The courier recorded this as "left in safe place",which it is not!
Other couriers are available.
We have found Evri to be regularly safe reliable and honest.

I would give this company no stars if I…

I would give this company no stars if I could, I sent a bundle of clothes with inpost and when they arrived the bags was open and most of the clothes missing and even worse than that it was out in a different bag to the one I sent them in, don’t use this means of sending items unless you want you stuff to go missing and when you try to complain they are just not bothered I think it’s disgusting that you cannot trust your items will get to your buyer. Customer service is diabolical don’t use this company I will never use again

Used InPost many times.

Used InPost many times and been very pleased with the service at a good price.
Never had a problem before, however this time the item had been damaged in transit, looked like the package had been roughly handled, or dropped.Filled in InPosts online form on the same day as delivery to report, filled all sections in, provided photographs of damage and external dent in packaging.
Heard nothing back from them, went back to customer service online chat and explained I'd had nothing back from them, the reply online was to say that the tracking showed it was delivered - no other comments - at this point I gave up.............
