⭐ 1 STAR — Absolutely appalling handling of a £100 fabric order

I honestly cannot believe this is considered an acceptable way to fulfil a fabric order.

I ordered 40 metres of chiffon fabric, two full 20m bolts. What arrived was two large quantities of fabric that had quite literally been taken off the proper branded cardboard bolts, (possibly folded but highly unlikely) scrunched/handled and shoved into a bag, along with a packing slip that looked like it had simply been crumpled up and thrown in with it.

There was zero care, presentation or professionalism in how this order was packed.

And for iNeed Fabrics comes back with the predictable response of “ we understand and if you're not happy with the fabric, you can return it” that isn't the issue.

The issue is how my fabric has been handled.

When you're ordering 40 metres of fabric, particularly in full-bolt quantities, you expect it to be supplied properly, protected and handled with a reasonable level of care. Instead, it has clearly been removed from the manufacturer’s proper presentation, bundled up and shoved into a bag.

The delivery itself also took well over a week and a half to arrive, which only makes the overall experience more frustrating.

What has really disappointed me, however, is the customer service response. Rather than acknowledging the concern about how the order was handled, the response essentially reduced the situation to whether I liked the fabric and whether I wanted to return it.

That's completely missing the point.

Customer service isn't simply processing a order or a return. It's actually listening to the customer and understanding why they're VERY frustrated, angry and unhappy.

I've ordered fabric because I have a professional use for it. I don't expect Rolls-Royce treatment, but I do expect the most basic level of care and professionalism when handling a substantial fabric order.

Unfortunately, that is not what I received from iNeed Fabrics.

For me, this has been an extremely disappointing experience from ordering, to delivery, to packaging, to customer service.

I certainly won't be rushing back, and based on this experience, I would think twice before trusting them with another substantial fabric order.

One star and that's being generous.

I discovered this company online and made a trip when I was visiting friends in Windsor. It was a very hot day and the first thing that happened after I had climbed the stairs to the showroom, was that Ravi immediately let up and offered me a bottle of water – and one for my husband who was waiting in the car.

The number of fabrics is almost overwhelming, but Ravi talks you through what will suit you for your project. The prices are more than reasonable comma and we came away with both furnishing fabric and something for dressmaking.

I would highly recommend this this shop if you have enough time to search through the offers available. And with a bit of luck, you'll have Ravi to show you round!

Colour of fabric ordered was sage green and I received blue. Contacted seller who blamed image software! Not sure how sage green description can be mistaken for blue.
No exchange or refund offered. Very poor service

I paid a visit to this Slough based store today after being recommended by my sewing tutor.
As a total beginner on a mission to purchase fabric for our "make a skirt" project and no clue as to what was a good material for a beginner other than don't go for a print/pattern, I sort assistance as soon as I arrived. Ravi (sorry if spelling incorrect) was friendly and knowledgable directing me to suitable material and at a suitable budget for a first project.
The place is packed with vibrant colours of all types of material, I will definitely be back.

Great Choice of Fabrics. Found this place by accident after endless searches for a well stocked fabric shop. I wasn't disappointed, great range of fabrics and very reasonably priced.

I called in yesterday and am so glad I did. Whilst I only bought a small amount of fabric-I could have happily bought loads if I wasn’t walking-there is so much choice!
The guys were so friendly, and very helpful.
If you are looking for good quality and affordable fabrics-and you are in Slough, it’s a worthwhile visit-especially to see what you are getting. And there’s a website-my husband is gonna be thrilled about this lol…. Don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own four walls!

Great fabric and good prices. Rakesh went the extra mile with excellent customer service and got the desperately needed additional fabric to me in a day. I will most definitely purchase from them again.
