Thanks so much, Jonathan. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
It’s always disappointing when a carpet isn’t suitable for the type of repair we offer, but I’d much rather be upfront about that than take on a job that I don’t believe will give you a result you’ll be happy with. I’m always more than happy to offer some advice where I can, even if it means we don’t end up doing the work.
Thanks again for the recommendation, and I hope the advice helped point you in the right direction.
All the best,
Richard

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review.
Unfortunately, after looking at the damage, we had to advise that on this occasion the carpet simply wasn’t repairable. As much as we’d love to help every customer with a repair, sometimes the best advice we can give is not to waste your money trying to repair something that isn’t going to give you a satisfactory result.
In this case, replacement really is the only sensible option. We’re sorry we couldn’t help with the repair itself, but honesty is always the best policy, and we’ll never recommend taking someone’s money for a repair we don’t believe will work.
Thanks again for the lovely review and for contacting The Carpet Repair Guys.
Excellent Training
I have just spent 2 days with the carpet repair guys- Richard learning the latest techniques of carpet repair from seeming repairs, patch repairs and door threshold carpet repairs the training was invaluable Richard is extremely experienced in this and does an excellent job when out on jobs and in his teaching.
Would definitely recommend Richard for any Repairs or training you might be considering.

Thank you so much for your fantastic review, Christian.
It was a real pleasure spending the two days with you, and I’m delighted you found the training valuable. My aim is always to provide more than just the practical skills – I want every trainee to leave with a thorough understanding of carpet repair, including seamless carpet repairs, patch repairs, invisible repair techniques, stair repairs, door threshold repairs, and, most importantly, knowing which repair method is the right one for each job.
At The Carpet Repair Guys, we believe that attention to detail and years of real-world experience make all the difference. That’s why our one-to-one carpet repair training combines classroom theory with live jobs, giving trainees the opportunity to learn the techniques that professional carpet repair specialists use every day.
Thank you again for your kind words and for putting in the effort over the two days. I’m sure you’ll go on to complete some fantastic repairs, and I’m always here if you ever need advice or support in the future.
Wishing you every success with your carpet repair business.

Supermarket products
Just spoke to the Carpet Guys regarding a stain on the carpet I tried to remove. Unfortunately using the supermarket product I had made the situation worse, stain can no longer be removed. I appreciate the honest assessment so am giving them 5 stars as it's best to know the truth.

Looking back at what we’ve created with…
Looking back at what we’ve created with The Carpet Repair Guys genuinely makes me feel proud.
When I started this business, there simply wasn’t a specialist service out there offering the level of carpet repair solutions that people needed. Over the years, we’ve helped save carpets for tenants, homeowners, landlords, offices, hotels and businesses across London, Kent, Essex and beyond.
From pet damage and iron burns to bleach spills, seam issues and all kinds of accidental damage, we’ve always approached every job with the same mindset — find the best possible solution for the customer.
Sometimes a repair is possible. Sometimes it isn’t.
But one thing I’ve always believed in is honesty. With over 30 years in the carpet industry, I’d rather give someone the right advice than simply take on a job for the sake of it. In some cases, the best advice we can give is not to repair the carpet at all, and instead help the customer understand their options.
That’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted The Carpet Repair Guys over the years. Every repair, every recommendation and every review means a lot.

Thank you for this. Reading it back genuinely means a lot to me personally.
When I first started The Carpet Repair Guys, I honestly believed there was a gap in the industry for a true specialist carpet repair service — one built around experience, honesty and finding the best possible solution for people rather than simply telling them to replace their carpet.
Over the years, I’ve seen just about every type of damage imaginable, and I’m proud that we’ve been able to help so many tenants, homeowners and businesses save carpets they thought were beyond repair.
What matters most to me is that we always try to give genuine advice. Sometimes that means carrying out a repair, and sometimes it means being honest and explaining that repair may not be the best option. I think that honesty and experience are a big part of why people continue to trust us.
I never take the support, recommendations and reviews for granted, and I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who has supported the business over the years.

I know how stressful situations like that can be, especially after trusting another company and being left with damage to your carpet. I’m really pleased I was able to offer some honest advice and help guide you through the best next steps.
One thing I’ve always believed is that good customer service and genuine advice matter just as much as the repair work itself. Sometimes people simply need someone with experience to explain the options properly and help take some of the stress away.
Thank you again for your trust and support. Comments like this genuinely mean a lot to me and to what I’ve tried to build with The Carpet Repair Guys over the years.

Thank you very much for the kind words — I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.
Good communication before the visit is always important, as it helps make sure the right approach is taken for the specific type of carpet and damage. Every repair is slightly different, so having a clear understanding beforehand allows the work to be completed as efficiently and effectively as possible on the day.
I’m really pleased you were happy with the repair and the overall service. I always aim to work carefully, respectfully and with consideration for your home while achieving the best possible result.
Thank you again for your feedback — it was a pleasure to help.

The Carpet Repair Guys
Five stars for honesty and Professionalism
Asked them to quote on repairing burn damage to a carpet in a rental flat. They took the time to understand the full situation - looked at the carpet style, assessed the type of damage, and gave me considered, thoughtful advice rather than a quick no.
They were upfront that a patch repair would most likely fall short of my hopes, and then, went above and beyond to write me a professional recommendation that I could use for the deposit claim against the tenants. No charge, no job to gain from it.
Responsive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to help when they didn't have to. Would use them again without hesitation.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review — I really appreciate it.
Sometimes the most important part of the process is giving honest advice, even when that means recommending that a repair may not achieve the standard a customer is hoping for. Every carpet is different, and factors such as carpet type, age, wear and the nature of the damage all influence what can realistically be achieved.
In this case, after assessing the burn damage and the carpet style, I felt that a patch repair was unlikely to provide a satisfactory finish. Rather than carry out a repair that may not meet expectations, I felt it was more helpful to provide a professional written recommendation that could support the deposit claim process.
My aim is always to give clear, genuine guidance so customers can make informed decisions, whether that leads to a repair or simply understanding the best way forward.
Thank you again for recognising the honesty and professionalism — it means a lot, and I would of course be happy to help in the future if needed.

Thank you so much for your lovely review Barbara, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
I’m delighted I was able to repair the cigarette burn in your cream carpet and also help improve the section of stair carpet that had been poorly fitted. Burns can often look far worse than they actually are, and it’s always great to be able to restore the carpet so there’s no visible reminder of the damage.
Saving customers from the cost and disruption of replacing a carpet is always the goal, so I’m really pleased you’re happy with the result.
Thank you again for your recommendation – it was a pleasure meeting you and helping put everything right.
