I had the most amazing 3 weeks in Porto volunteering at the Young Mums Support. Porto is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been. My coordinator Carolina was wonderful. Anything I needed she was there to ask. From questions about the placement to recommendations for trips. I have made friends with some of the most amazing people. Overall I had an amazing trip and would definitely recommended to others.

I spent two weeks in Barcelona doing volunteering with Youth Support. The two staff I met who worked for ImpactTrip are two of the nicest people I have met in my life and we’re so friendly, helpful and approachable! The hostel was nice and had plenty of things to do including a pool and games room, also had plenty of shops and cafes nearby! I would recommend staying as long as possible as a week would definitely not be enough (as the first two days is more of a getting to know how things work and how to get to your placement). I did two weeks but would have happily done longer! The people you stay with are from a range of countries and ages but were super friendly and you do end up spending most evenings together exploring Barcelona. Would recommend this experience for anyone looking to gain confidence or see what it’s like working in a different country! I will be doing it again for sure 🙂🙂

Sono stato nei vari giorni in diverse strutture e alcune volte ho servito cibo in delle strutture in cui venivano a cenare i senzatetto, altre volte ho preparato i kit con dentro il cibo che sarebbero poi dovuti essere consegnati, e altre volte ho consegnato il cibo direttamente in strada in vari punti diversi della città muovendoci con un furgone insieme ad altri volontari.
Quando fai questo genere di attività ti senti molto utile nei confronti delle persone che aiuti, ed è stato bello poter parlare con alcuni di loro che sapevano un po' di inglese.
Quando ho fatto la consegna del cibo in vari punti della città ho potuto vedere varie situazioni di persone che vivono in dure condizioni di vita ed è stato molto impattante e profondo e profondo vedere con i propri occhi varie realtà che non avrei potuto conoscere senza questo progetto.
Questa esperienza mi ha dato molta anche molta indipendenza e anche autonomia nella scelta di cosa fare nel vario tempo libero che ho avuto a disposizione negli orari in cui non dovevo fare volontariato o nel weekend, in cui ho potuto girare in città vicine o uscire con altri volontari o gente che ho conosciuto all'ostello.

This trip has completely changed my life for the better. I can’t wait to come back next year. Impactrip is such a great way to meet people and make connections! They placed me with the best group according to my interests and I met so many beautiful children and people this way. Truly a life changing trip!! Rome 26’

the local support team was so helpful, they were checking up on me all the time even before my flight and always tried their best to help me if i had a problem. as a first time traveling abroad alone and first volunteer experience it was so fulfilling and enriching experience. the staff also help you pick the project most suitable for you.

This trip was very fun as I made many new friends and memories that will stay with me forever. Everyone was so welcoming when I arrived in Rome which made it easy to leave my impact in the volunteer work while also having fun after my placement.

We volunteered at a local cat sanctuary, and stayed in a hostel away from the city. The staff at both hostel and placement were so helpful. There was plenty of communication before we left the UK and we were met and orientated to our environment for 1 day before starting work.
Be prepared for long travel on the subway and buses ( though hostel is well connected on a subway line) Be prepared to work hard and get stuck in. If you want the social aspects then you are bound to make friends with similar minded volunteers. It's mostly younger people, but there were a few older volunteers too we volunteered for 2 weeks but I think 3 may have been better

I just got back from a two week volunteer experience in Rome doing sustainable farming. The coordinators and staff helped make the experience on the farm fun and impactful. Overall, the experiences I had and the relationships I gained were unforgettable.

I loved meeting the people on this trip! It was an amazing experience and one I would recommend!

It was honestly amazing. The co-ordinators the school that I volunteered at just everything was fun. It is honestly an chance of a lifetime and I have made so many memories with this decision. The only thing I would complain is the food that is prepaid.. its great but sometimes the workers there were not the friendliest but other than that the best experience ever

I was in Porto for a week for the surfing community & empowerment experience, the organization was great! I recommend a longer time to live the experience to the fullest, everything went great! The only aspect I would like to point out is that from the description of the program I expected to do activities with the disabled every day, instead during the summer since there are many children from the summer camps, that activity is reduced to 2 days a week, the rest of the days I was supporting the group with the children. For the rest everything was perfect, the organization, the free time, the transportation, the hostel, the food. And Carolina was a very present, sweet and nice coordinator! In fact, I give the highest point to the people I met, all very kind and helpful!

Joined the Marine Conservation program.
Busé (who’s part of the local team) and the tutors/instructors are lovely, caring and supportive, and the people I met along the way are amazing.
Travelling to our placement to the hostel may be quite far, but the experience is still worth it.

I was so excited and extremely overwhelmed with the passion and dedication of the volunteers at the cat shelter/sanctuary I voleered with. It was hot, challenging, but completely worth every moment.
The local program coordinator Clara & Buse wirh the Shelter, where there and communicated promptly whenever I had a question or needed guidance.

Oh, and Spain, Barcelona and all it's adventures were breathtaking, as well!

the scuba diving program was excellent with great instructors and team! there wasn’t as much trash pick up as hoped but still a great experience. The only thing is that the hostel was extremely far from the program spots and not in a good location.

For my first time taking part in volunteer work whilst also having travelled alone for a prolonged period of time everybody made me feel welcomed and comfortable in this new environment.
The work placement was very good with attentive, helpful, and pleasant people who made great efforts to make the experience and work unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyable.
The commuting to and fro the placement took some time out of the day, but the transport was easy to manage and very reliable.
Overall an unforgettable, wonderful experience.

I had a great time during my trip anf volunteer work. My leader, Danai, was very welcoming and did a great job of keeping us organized and letting us know where we needed to be! The leaders at the Humanity Center were also very kind and welcoming towards us. Would definitely do this trip again!

Such a fun experience it was great to have people to give you suggestions and teach you about the city and culture. I had the best time ever! Clara and buse are the best!!

I did the children and youth support program in Barcelona and I had a great time. I had a great time working with the children at the school I was with a group of 3 and 4 year olds which was really fun. I felt that my experience made me more confident and it was good to be surrounded by Spanish culture.
