Terrible experience, a key accounts manager who works for this company needs customer service. They did not listen to our requests and stated they would still enter our property without our consent. Our solar system which was installed by another company years ago still works and doesn't need an inspection.
We wouldn't recommend this company and have refused them access to the property and let the landlord know.
She was in contact via email.
We've just had a text for an appointment to be made for the 3rd September 2026 on the 9th of September, then we get another text refusing to do the work.
We have kept logs of the disregard to our requests, she also tried bragging that I was unqualified to tell her that my solar panel system was working perfectly.

Firstly, let me state my 12 KW system was installed in May 2022. The main reason for this review is to share our experience with living with Solar panels, and also a something that started as a Niggle and, this week, became a Major Problem.

The Pros-
Very good setup, quickly installed and does "What it says on the Tin".
Pleasant Company to deal with on phone and in person.
In fact, Impact said it would pay for itself in 9 years. It’s actually on Course to pay for itself in 8 years!

The Cons-
My Major Gripe was allowing myself to be "put off" installing "Bird Proofing “by the Installation team.
"It will be fine” they said, "totally unnecessary", they said!
I can tell you, ABSOLUTELY ignore that advice and insist on it while the Scaffold is up.
As I Write this review, we have a pigeon slowly dying under our panels as we are plagued with them nesting and roosting underneath. I just had Froggy hire cherry picker around this morning helping me mesh the whole perimeter, you simply can’t get all the pigeons out!
They just crawl deeper into the centre of the panel array!

In addition, we had to get Impact back as all the wiring was just left hanging in the attic space. They did make it neater and tie /clip it onto the rafters, but they didn’t repair the split roofing felt where the cables came into attic.
Finally, high voltage cables running in corner of garage to Batteries were never put in trunking, as requested on a second visit which never happened.
I would have thought this would have been necessary, as cables are just a few centimetres above floor
To be fair, I never chased them up on this, as all the snagging should have really been taken care of on the first visit Imo!
So, I give Impact 3 stars.
Could have been better with after sales and definitely wrong advice on Pigeons, but Satisfactory, overall!

Impact Services were professional from the get go. Communication from them was great. Fitting was completed with in a few months of agreement to go ahead with the work. The installers were friendly and hard working, their installation was neat and they tided up as they worked. I would recommend.

This is the second time I have used them. I did not bother to get a quote from any other Company as I knew that they would be the best and fairest price. Many houses in my road have used them all with excellent reviews.

From start to finish the whole process was so simple great communication and fantastic installation no mess really tidy you put Octopus to shame

From the original contact to the survey; the competitive quote; the many interactions & communications with the admin & tech people in the office; through to the scaffolding and installation team, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and eager to play their part. Local company, all staff - including office - were friendly and polite. Everyone that was working here worked together as a team getting my solar panels fitted as well as heat pump and air conditioning. My home was left clean and tidy. I am really happy I chose Impact.

This review is separate from the one I posted for Impact’s excellent recent installation of our Powerwall and PV array.

Regarding this separate project, Impact have been tremendously helpful, both practically and administratively, in the reconfiguring of another Powerwall installation I’m associated with. Impact had no obligation to get involved and would have been justified in not doing so, but they fully engaged with the project using their in-depth knowledge of Tesla systems and have gone way beyond what I’d asked for. I’m extremely grateful for the assistance that many members of Impact's staff have freely given; the project would have been impossible without Impact’s input.

I continue to recommend Impact Services without reservation.

What a fabulous Company. Polite, knowledgeable, efficient and ultra speedy. They knew exactly how to achieve what we wanted to achieve, asked for the information they needed and just got on with the job. Absolutely superb. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to family and friends if the need arose.

We have seen some negative reviews but we can honestly say that the service we received was first class from start to finish. We had no issues with communications or with the work carried out. It was all to a high standard. The system installed was 22 solar panels and 2 Fox batteries and an inverter which are all working perfectly. Everything was explained to us and we couldn’t be happier with the service from this company.

My experience with this company was far from 5 star, so maybe I was just unlucky. I agreed to the quotation but had to arrange mains isolator switch to be installed beforehand. This took a couple of attempts with Octoplus Energy as the first engineer arrived after the arranged appointment time. Not the fault of Impact. Another date was arranged several weeks hence but this was cancelled and finally got a date much earlier than this. Incidentally, another date was cancelled because my surname matched someone elses, and they sent an installion date to me in error. Three days before installation, my installation was cancelled. Apparently my supply is such that I would not get the savings anticipated. I have a three phase supply with economy 7. I no longer use E7 for storage heaters since we now have oil heating. All this information was available to Impact at the outset and I do not understand why this could not have been made clear at the time of first contact. Apart from anything else, one would have thought that a system that actually did use storage heaters with E7 would have been the ideal one to take advantage of solar energy, but alas not so according to Impact. I am a little bit sceptical about the reasons for cancellation, but I give credit to them for not going ahead with the installation if it has saved me money. I guess many other companies would have gone ahead anyway. I just wish Impact had not messed me around for several weeks having had all the required information available to them right from the start.

Excellent service throughout the entire process of installation of our solar panel/battery system. Initial comprehensive survey of our property. Rapid response to all our concerns followed by very efficient installation.

I was thinking of getting a Home Battery to work with my solar. Gary from Impact Services came to see me. After a discussion, he advised me that I didn't need home batteries. It was very nice to meet a company that didn't try and extort a lot of money, when I didn't need it.
Although I haven't used them, I would recommend them for their honesty.

What a great stress free experience!
By the time I had done all my research, I was petrified about installing solar energy! I was too scared to install solar panels having learned about all the technical failings, the sham companies, the cowboy installers!
Impact came through trumps despite all my misgivings. I wish I could remember the names of all the people involved but each and every person involved rose to above and beyond!

Now I just love going on to the digital link and working out how to maximise my electricity usage, when best to run my household at nil cost, mindful of the weather etc!

Impact have recently installed solar panels and a battery system into the house. From initial contact, survey, ongoing contact and information about the steps I had to take through to installation the firm have been first rate. All the staff I have had contact with are knowledgable, patient at explaining things, friendly and highly professional. I couldn’t single out any one person as this would be unfair, everyone played their part to provide a true team approach to customer service. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering solar energy.
