I had a very disappointing experience with ILS Milano. I paid over 2000€ for a language course but could not attend due to issues related to the school’s institutional compatibility with the Italian consulate.
Other language schools clearly informed me about the visa process and required language level (B1/B2), but ILS Milano did not provide this essential information before payment. If I had been properly informed, I would not have enrolled.
I was also told that in case of visa refusal only 250€ would be deducted. However, I did not receive a standard visa refusal — my application was rejected due to the school’s incompatibility with the consulate.
The refund process was also problematic. I was supposed to receive 1892€, but I only received 1877€. I paid 45€ in bank transfer fees myself, while an additional 15€ difference was not covered. I also had to pay shipping costs.
Overall, I believe there was a lack of transparency and proper communication. I still hope this issue can be resolved in a fair and amicable way.

ILS Milano provided all the required course documentation correctly and in line with our standard procedures, as we do for international students every year. Visa requirements and acceptance criteria are determined exclusively by the relevant consular authorities, which operate independently and may apply different rules depending on the country and internal policies. For this reason, applicants are always advised to verify visa requirements directly with the competent consulate before enrolling, as only the consulate can provide official and binding information.
Regarding the refund, it was processed in full compliance with the terms and conditions accepted at the time of registration. As a gesture of goodwill, we also waived the administrative fee normally applied in such cases. The amount agreed upon was promptly and fully transferred by our school; any difference in the amount received may depend on intermediary or receiving bank charges, which are outside our control.
