Seamless experience. Shipping was quick and easy. Purchased the Ice Barrel 500 and package arrived as expected. Setup was quick and easy, with clear instructions.
The product is high quality and well-made. Keeps my water at the optimal temperature. I love the steps as it makes it easy to get in and out of the tub without worrying about slipping.
Overall, have had a great experience with Ice Barrel.
Terrible company. Took months longer than promised to get the system. Had several problems with it, and app and scheduling never worked right. About 18 months in, chiller broke down, and their only solution is to buy a new one. At that price, these should be repairable. Buy elsewhere
I purchased the Ice Barrel 500 with chiller and maintenance kit in 2024, for $4,166.14. During the warranty period, I reported recurring flow issues, airlocks, and deterioration of fittings. Customer service sent troubleshooting videos but never inspected or repaired the unit.Shortly after the warranty expired, the same issues returned. I was told the unit “can’t be fixed” and to throw it away — without any inspection. Since Ice Barrel’s acquisition by Sunlighten, I’ve contacted both companies. Neither has responded or offered any resolution. A quick online search shows other consumers reporting the same failures. This product is expensive, short-lived, and unsupported. Consumers deserve transparency and accountability.
They use cheap parts and don’t stand behind there products. My ice barrell 300 leaked due to them using cheap parts and they were quick to not stand behind their product as I was one month out of warranty, I could tell by the customer service they get lots of calls due to product leaking, and then they tried to sell me a new one
I have tried to get in touch with this company to try to buy one of their products. Been a week of sending emails, sending messages via their website and also chatting to their chatbot (which always tells you how busy they are but don't worry, someone will get back to you). After 7 days of trying, I am giving up.
I don’t recommend buying from this ice bath barrel website. A lot of bad reviews and and unhappy customer’s. You can tell a lot by the reviews they have before you buy, so they’ve lost me as a customer and I don’t recommend them to anybody , customer service was super rude.
I ordered the original ice barrel, didn't get cold enough, I live in south Florida, I had it in my balcony. Just 2-3 months go by and I see they have an insulated one coming out for warmer climates. Now im scared to order and get stuck with it, I wish I could've returned it or traded it, I sold it on offer up but took me months to try to get some of my money back. If ice barrel sees this review, my order # is 103855 name is Lido, id like to try that new one the 300 and be able to return it if that insulation doesn't work.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have dealt with. Ordered in August when it said ships in August. No updates. No emails replied. No phone calls picked up. Will be opening a chargeback soon
