Ibis Amsterdam und Bern

Ich war dieses Jahr im Ibis Amsterdam. Das Zimmer war sauber.
Bei der Dusche hatte es beim Lüfter etwas Schimmel, was in einem Feuchtraum vorkommen kann. Das hat mich nicht weiter gestört. Einmal war die Toilette verstopft – das war mein Fehler, da ich zu viel Toilettenpapier verwendet habe. Schade war, dass keine WC‑Bürste vorhanden war, so konnte ich das Problem auch nicht selber Lösen. Das Personal hat die Verstopfung am Abend nicht behoben, aber beim zweiten Spülen war alles wieder in Ordnung. Ich bin sicher, dass das freundliche Personal sofort geholfen hätte, wenn ich es gemeldet hätte.

Danach verbrachte ich eine Nacht im Ibis in Bern. Dort war alles einwandfrei.

Beide Hotels waren sehr freundlich, sauber und ruhig. Gerne wieder. Weiter so.

IBIS Liverpool, Albert Dock - stay well clear

Overnight stay, heating not working in room on a cold night, 1x plug with 2x usb ports - one of which didn't work. Sea of woodchip in the room - very depressing.

Wrongly assumed heating would come on later on a timer as,switch didn't work but it never did. Made mistake of not reporting it on the night (hotel really should have known about it from previous occupants) - reported following morning and put a brief complaint in later. Nice email received from hotel apologising but they did NOTHING when they easily could have.

Won't be using IBIS chain again - will stick to Premier Inn or Travelodge

Realizamos la solicitud de devolución No. 117789779 desde el mes de noviembre de 2025 por el no uso de la habitación en el Hotel IBIS de Cancún, y por correo seguimos y cumplimos con los requisitos del hotel, y nos informaron que en tres (3) meses hacían la devolución de nuestro dinero, y a la fecha después de seis (6) no nos han devuelto nuestro dinero. Hemos enviado correos reiterativos en los 6 meses, y seguimos sin respuesta.

Ibis hotel London Luton

Ibis hotel London Luton. Horrendous chain of hotels. When we arrived the room was freezing cold and it took all afternoon for it to warm up.
The room had a continuous foul smell coming from the bathroom, smelt like sewage. The noise from the adjoining rooms was horrendous, we actually got no sleep at all!
Never again. The reviews are all true.

Ibis hotel in Swindon

Ibis hotel in Swindon. Terrible staff. Dirty rooms. Rude staff and cleaners who only care about a wage. Constant drug use in the hotel and loud banging all night. Slamming doors all night. Dogs everywhere. Food and waste on the floor and in the lift. Blood all on the sheets and on the stairs. Never cleaned after 6 months. Kids playing football in the halls and people throwing balls and playing catch with their dogs at early hours of the morning. Terrible place for someone suffering with mental health issues. The staff are more interested in telling residents and clients about their personal lives and slagging them off to other people staying at the hotel. Overall a terrible experience. I advice everyone to look elsewhere if they need a cheap place to stay.

IBIS SHEPHERDS BUSH

BOOKED A 2 NIGHTS STAY ON A PLAFORM WITH CHECK IN SAME DAY AS I BOOKED . 2 HOURS LATER I ARRIVE TO THE HOTEL , FOUND MY BOOKING BUT ASKED ME TO PAY. EXPLAINED THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID AND SHOWED THE EVIDENCE. THE RECEPTIONIST CALLED HIS SUPERVISOR WHO TOLD I HAD TO PAY OTHERWISE I WON'T HAVE A ROOM IN A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISMISSIVE WAY AND LEFT. CONTACTED THE PLATFORM ON THE CHAT AND THEY CALLED THE HOTEL . MATTER RESOLVED WITHIN 15 MINUTES. I THINK THAT SUPERVISOR HAS NO PLACE IN THE HOSPITALITY BUSINESS . I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS GOING TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND HE KEPT SHOUTING HIS NAME TO ME SEVERAL TIMES.

Terrible one night stay at Ibis Hamburg Alster Hotels

Terrible experience at a one night stay at one of Ibis Hotels “Ibis Hamburg Alster Hotels”. There were so many things being disappointed about making it hard to list them all.
Such as
- The elevator was so slow, and at one time it stopped completely with a bump - like it was broken. We ended up taking the stairs most of the times.
- We were specifically looking for a hotel with parking opportunities, but when we got there their parking basement were under construction. Which we have not been notified about beforehand. So we had to park our car 5 minutes away in a very expensive parking lot. Adding to the costs of staying at the hotel.
- The duvet was made of synthetic plastic making it horrible and very hot to sleep with as your body could not breath through it. We ended up taking the duvet out of the bed sheet in order for us to sleep af bit in a better temperature.
- The aircondition was terrible and turned of several times even when it was still hot in the room.

We got so little sleep due to the above described conditions and we were only staying one night since it was just a break before travelling to Italy

It’s rarely that I’m this disappointed about a hotel. Look out for ibis hotels - not worth saving a bit. Go for a bit more. expensive hotel and get a better stay.

Everything else in Hamborg was great though.

Ibis uses Trivago

Ibis uses Trivago - Algotels as a booking partner.
But refused to help or cancel bookings, when Algotels makes it impossible to cancel a refundable booking. The booking portal doesn't work, you cannot call anyone.

It's a complete scam, making it impossible to cancel so they get paid even if you try to cancel and have a refundable booking!

Filthy.Manky.dirty.smelly buildings couldn't get moving for migrants taken drugs & shitting all over the rooms instead off using the toilets all the staff have body odour problems. And never wash there hands ..AVOID. AVOID .AVOID..!!..

Hotel sporco

Hotel sporco , stanze piccole, ho dovuto tenere le valigie a terra per 7 giorni, bagno piccolo senza nessun appoggio, ho trovato le lenzuola sporche di colore rosso e me le hanno cambiate solo il giorno dopo.
Colazione alle 7:00 di mattina non c’era più nulla servizio scarso .
Zone comuni sporche, pavimenti scrostati , piscina con punti crepati e pericolosi per camminare a piedi nudi.

Je suis venu travailler dans l'hotel Ibis du Terminal 3 et à peine rentrer dans le salon de l'hotel j'ai été immédiatement suivi par le service sécurité de l'hotel me demandant de consommer pour rester !! pendant 2 jours je venais travailler ici et j'ai toujours consommé j'ai pas eu de soucis et lui il vient pour me dire ca en mode je suis un voleur-profiteur ! hhoo stop la pas de soucis on va consommer, détendez vous !

Like sleeping in a building site.

Previously, when it came to hotels, my criteria were fairly simple. Reasonable prices, a comfortable bed and quiet so that I can sleep. The Ibis hotel I stayed in, near Bridgwater, did pretty good on the price and comfort side of things but, thanks to the constant noise of the extractor fan, in the bathroom, that wouldn’t turn off, sleep was not as sound as I would have hoped. But I have to add a new criterion to my list. The worst part of the room, and my stay, was the décor. Ugly bare, pock marked, concrete walls that were depressing and made me feel like I was sleeping in a building still under construction.
There was a poster in the lift trying to tell guests that it is some bold art space, but I think it was a case of ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ and they were trying to justify skimping on the costs of creating aesthetically pleasant and comfortable rooms by labelling them ‘art’. Unimpressed and uncomfortable experience.

Geen woorden voor

Voor de nacht van 9 op 10 februari 2026 hadden we een kamer geboekt bij ibis Styles Amsterdam Airport. Toen we rond half twee in de nacht bij het hotel aankwamen bleek dat het overboekt was. Dit ondanks het feit, dat we 's ochtends al online hadden ingecheckt. Er werd in eerste instantie een ander hotel incl de vergoeding voor de taxi rit er naar toe en de volgende ochtend terug naar Schiphol aangeboden. We keken nogal sip en daarom bood de receptionist een kamer met een defect toilet aan waarvoor we niet hoefden te betalen. We mochten van het toilet in de lobby gebruik maken. Aangezien ik 's nachts meerdere keren naar het toilet moet, is dat geen optie. Daarop heeft de receptionist voor ons een ander hotel geboekt en de taxi chauffeur gevraagd ons daarna toe te brengen. Toen we weer thuis waren hebben we de kosten voor de taxi gedeclareerd bij Ibis. Deze werden in eerste instantie geweigerd omdat we de aangeboden kamer hadden geweigerd. Na onze protesten was men bereid om de helft van de taxikosten a 85€ oftewel 42,50€ als coulance te vergoeden. Men schreef ook dat dit het laatste bod was. Het kan natuurlijk niet zo zijn dat men aanbiedingen die ’s nachts door de receptionist worden gedaan gewoon ontkent. Door deze ervaring bedenk ik mij wel twee keer voordat ik weer een Accor hotel boek.

Just making a comment on the staff

I just want to say the hotel is great for the price .. especially for someone like me who was working in the area and wanted to stay in the hotel on my own..I came back from work on the Friday night early finish and was met by the staff named Chris he was more than helpful by serving me a alcoholic drink at 11.30 but then began to talk to him and after 4 pints that he let me stay for untill around 1 o'clock I chatted to him and found him not only professional but a proper nice bloke im not from the area of derby im a walsall lad .. we had a proper good chat over those drinks that I was able to get until early hours and told him after that I would write a review on him considering he was proper sound...and he even said to me I never ask people to write a review but I said I would anyway because my experience for those few hours really touched me as we got quite deep even tho he wasent drinking him self. Not once did he say ur getting drunk even tho I was .he just talks to me like a human being and I was that gratefull of the company im writing this message for him mainly .. this hotel is really good especially for the working man like me who needs a place to stay while working near by .. shower is amazing may I add .. but the staff are 10/10 here no bull shit

The term "Hotel" shouldn't be used


The term "Hotel" shouldn't be attached to the Ibis.
Ibis Hotel in Newcastle is more of a 2 star Motel.
Although cheaper than it's competitors, the quality & services are those of a backpackers in the CBD.
Building & rooms look very tired.
Room was so tiny, the double bed almost touched on all 3 sides.
Had to turn sideways and shuffle my feet to get to the far side.
Shower & toilet are moulded plastic units like those found in motorhomes and very tiny.
Our aircon didn't work and had to reported so I they wouldn't think I broke it, and get charged for the repairs.

Ordered the optional Breakfast and paid the $26 in advance.
Choices were breakfast cereal, toast or tiny little ( still frozen ) croissants.
Coffee was granulated from a jar a hot water from a Thermos.
Expensive breakfast that was.

Although the price was attractive, ultimately you get what you pay for.

If there minimum rating was 0,
I would give it that

Pésima atención al cliente y falta de higiene en el Hotel Ibis Irapuato

Hoy y antier no se hizo limpieza en nuestra habitación del Hotel Ibis Irapuato. La encargada de la tarde en turno comenta que sólo dan toallas y papel de baño porque no se hace limpieza diaria de las habitaciones. Pésimo servicio y falta de higiene del Hotel Ibis Irapuato. No recomendamos que utilicen los servicios de este hotel.
