Hughes net business baaaad business
Hughes net. Business installed WiFi on my Trailor they were advertising download speeds of 30 mbps and up load speeds of 3. They missed the delivery time by hours and never called I called their office and was given the installer phone number which I called the next day. He told me he was driving and would call me when he got back into the office. What he didn’t tell me was he wouldn’t be in his office until after 5 pm. When we finally got together on the phone it was another week out until they could install the equipment and that was after waiting a week for the first attempted install. The installation went smoothly but the installer told me that the modem would take a few days to settle down. That sounded a little fishy to me. My service seem to slow down a little after the installation of WiFi. I installed speed check and started checking my down load speeds. I started getting downloaded speed as low as 1 and between speeds of 1-3 with the highest speed of 10. My upload speeds were between .05 and 1. Most of them closer .5. I called the office and complained about my speeds. I was told that in my area they pick up satellite from Seattle Washington and weather affects my WiFi. It rains all the time in Seattle. Now when I called to cancel my WiFi it would be a $750 Cancilation charge and I could keep the equipment. I was told I could cancel within the first month with no charge to me. I had the same problem a few years ago and told the Hughes net agent that it never worked before why would it work now. I was told they changed to a new modems and it was a lot faster now. I was also told there was no cost to me if canceled within the first month. When I called to cancel not only was I told it would be a $750 charge but they needed to do testing and I would need to be part of that testing. I was done with them by now. I guess the old saying is true fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.
