***Howden’s Lincoln***Would say horrendous from start to finish...but we didn’t get to finish! Told multiple times that someone would be coming out to measure our work top, in order for it to be replaced. It took them two attempts to measure! We were told the price would be confirmed by lunchtime the following day and a date set for installation. Chased them up after not hearing from them for 4 days and after escalating to a manager was told that the process was very complex. Not sure how measuring a work top and arranging a date for it to be replaced is complex. Absolutely shocking. Will never spend any money with them again a

This guy really knows his stuff and is a credit to Howdens, goes the extra mile to make sure that everything is explained clearly and is exactly what you want and need. Avoid
I ordered 3 internal doors. After collection and initial inspection, I noticed water stains on one of the doors but thought this would be painted over and no matter. After priming one side, I turned over and noticed the door was warped badly. I asked for a replacement and they refused. They said "we can't do anything with it if you've painted it" I wondered what they expected to do with a warped door? I thought they might actually want to investigate the problem but it was of no interest to them whatsoever. I respectfully advised them that I ordered a door and it was their obligation to supply a fully working one. They indicated that no, it was my responsibility to inspect it fully. Their customer service skills were poor and it is very unlikely that I will ever buy doors from here again (working or otherwise). Furthermore they, charged me for 4 when I ordered 3 and most revolting of all, I actually saw their warehouseman SPIT on the ground as he waited to greet customers.
Terrible service and average quality
I recently installed a new kitchen. The Carpenter I commissioned suggested I get a Howdens Kitchen and he referred me to the Twickenham branch where he had an account. The upfront service was exemplary - the plan, the expertise and the quality of the kitchen appeared to be good. However, once they were paid the rails started coming off the tracks. They never delivered when they said they would and this was inspite of me having to do a four hour round commute to be onsite. They just didn’t care. When the carpenter started the job, the shoddy customer service continued. I purchased all the appliances through them too and after a week the floor level heater started making a terrible noise. They initially said they would replace it but this then transpired to be a faulty item. I emailed back to ask them to collect the heater and let me have a 4metre plinth in order to repair the gaping hole and to deliver two other parts that were missing and faulty. A holding email was received citing delays due to holidays. Fair enough, but this isn’t the first time I have been subjected to stone walling from Howdens. The moral of the story, carpenters snd builders will recommend Howdens because they receive some sort of kick back, the quality of the kitchens are not outstanding and are very similar to Wickes or IKEA. They are not cheap, but to be fair I didn’t understand how they operated at the time so I probably could have negotiated harder. There is absolutely no customer service nor aftercare unless of course your builder or carpenter takes responsibility. Once bitten, twice shy. In the meantime I need to plod on to try and get the hole in the plinth sorted. Howdens Twickenham please step up!
Howdens Cattedown Plymouth
Howdens Cattedown Plymouth. Picked my kitchen in November and changed the design three times but Jane was always patient with me ! I wanted very quite integral white goods as my kitchen is part of a larger dining / sunroom and due to COVID-19 it was difficult to see these items in situ. So I relied on the designer Jane to choose! She did very well. Pleased with all my white goods and kitchen is gorgeous. A couple of small items missing but one phone call and they were delivered quickly. Could not fault the service from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this depot. Thanks everyone at Cattedown....

I wasn't sure what I could afford with my budget. A friend told me to try Howdens... I had never bought from them before.
After one call, Ben Cook (sales consultant) arrived.
After a brief chat about what I would like and my budget, he gave me some ideas and as he promised, sent me some fab plans and a video of what my new kitchen could look like.
I was then contacted by one of the team to discuss cost. After a few days, I changed my mind a little with what I wanted. Ben replanned the kitchen with my new specifications and resent plans, this wasn't a problem at all for him. Any time I spoke to Howdens, they were helpful, polite and friendly.
The end result is a fantastic kitchen which I love and was in my budget. I would definitely use Howdens again. Thankyou

I purchased a kitchen including all appliances a year ago (Dec 2019) from Lockhurst Lane Coventry and all the staff at were so helpful: James - Manager, Tom - Kitchen Designer etc. Recently I had a problem with the fridge freezer (Jan 2021). Again excellent customer service, it has been replaced without any quibble in a timely manner. My experience with Howdens has been excellent.

I found customer service a waste of time trying to get a warrentee for items purchased. The tradesman I used put items in his account but I paid for them. Now tradesmen wont give me receipts. I called howdens customer services Swansea to ask for assistance. I was hung up on so I called again then was accused of being aggressive ( I wasn't I just asked to speak to the manager as I was getting no where with receptionist) .. I've kitchen yet to be installed plus a new bathroom but as I've no way of getting a warrentee from Howdens I shan't use tradesmen who order from them. Fortunutally I paid by card so I'm hoping this will suffice if I have problems with their product in the future. But I must say customer services Swansea is bad. I also emailed but it's been ignored

From day one, Holly, our designer, got exactly what I was after. All the way through this project, Holly and the team have provided us with first class service. Helpful advice and some nice suggestions along the journey. If I ever need another kitchen, Howden's will be the place for me! We now have the kitchen that we wanted, and with very little compromise. Looking for a kitchen can be very stressful when no listens to you, so when i went to Howdens and was dealt with by Kaylie, a very approachble young lady, it was not only stress free, but she came out with some construtive ideas and listened to all my needs, you could say that she got in my head and saw the vision of what i wanted and produed this on the design, very knowledgable and knows her products, no question was unanswered. So far so good cant wait for the delivery of my new kitchen.

Dreadful experience from Howdens at the Salford branch again. Ordered a kitchen worth £5000, was delivered with several missing parts. Had to make at least 10 trips to Howdens to get the missing parts - lots of back and forth, including driving to other depots which only costs more fuel, and lost a day of productivity, and costed extra to pay the fitter. They were quick to take the order and process it but their after-sales service is shocking - it's clear there's no care for the customer, or providing good customer service, especially if you're spending over 5k. They said they would get back to me and see if they can compensate me, never heard anything from them. NEVER AGAIN!

I have held accounts with Howden joinery for many years I have been in the building trade for over 40 years but I need to speak out about a situation that’s being going on within the Hillsborogh Sheffield depot as I have seen my wife been slowly destroyed by a situation that’s been going on for a number of years particularly in view of recent events.Howden‘s as a company promote employees report any miss conduct by their colleagues (not worth the Paper it’s printed on)
In September 2018 my wife was signed off from work by the doctor due to work-related stress and anxiety this she had suffered for a number of years including bullying threatening sexual harassing comments made by clients and finally witnessing racial abuse of a senior member of management in her presence This she strongly objected to and asked that it stop immediately which a member of management turned to the others and said I “I can see we’re going to have to watch what we say in front of her “this was witnessed by a new female starter who Was stood at the side of my wife when this racial verbal abuse was taking place she refused to acknowledge this actually saying she needed to keep her job . On top of this she’s had threatening messages placed upon her car. A member of management pretending to shoot her in the back of the head all these events of allegedly been investigated by the company the people involved choose to say they do not recall or they will not comment I have watched for nearly 2 years this destroy my wife she's gone from a confident person to someone who can barely speak about these events without breaking down it has affected myself my children and all our family having to watch this happened to my wife because she is telling the truth she has even offered to take a lie detector test to prove she is telling the truth the final straw for me is she is now being asked to sign a terms and condition contract part of which is that she keeps things that have happened confidential So now I have felt compelled to talk about this matter being her husband I have a duty to her clearly Howden’s think they don’t.
