Horizon Home Surveys provides independent residential property surveys for home buyers and homeowners across Swindon and the surrounding areas. I am a local RICS qualified surveyor with a practical trades background and hands on experience working on residential buildings. This provides a strong understanding of how homes are built, altered and repaired, not just how they appear on plans. That practical knowledge, combined with close attention to detail and a problem solving approach, is applied to every survey to help identify issues that may otherwise be overlooked and explain them in a clear and realistic way. Level 2 and Level 3 surveys are available along with snagging surveys and specific defect inspections. Surveys can usually be carried out within a few days of your enquiry. Our service is not based on providing the cheapest quote. We take pride in every instruction and allow sufficient time both at the property and during report preparation to produce a thorough and bespoke assessment. We also consider practical solutions to defects and provide advice that may assist with negotiations and help the transaction progress.

Excellent service and high quality report.

Very happy with Lee and the snagging service he provided. Very friendly yet professional he was extremely thorough, carefully going round the house both externally and internally, identifying a range of snags, some we had noticed but many we had not. Very impressed by his attention to detail, he even had a drone to inspect the walls, gutters and roof. The report we received was comprehensive and easy to follow providing us with a good starting point for further discussion with our builders. Would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a new home snagging survey.

Great work Lee.

Lee provided an excellent service; I asked for the survey to be done as asap and he fitted it in within a few days due to a cancellation. The report was very detailed and helpful, covering all the concerns I had and expanding the areas covered. Great use of pictures, some taken with a drone. Great work!

Professional, Thorough and Highly Recommended

Lee completed a Level 3 survey for the home we're purchasing, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Communication was great throughout, with an initial phone call before accepting the work where he provided helpful advice based on his experience. He was able to complete the survey the following week, and the report was incredibly detailed. Lee also took the time to go through the findings with us afterwards, explaining everything clearly and offering practical advice. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and professional surveyor.

Top quality home survey

I recently looked at a couple of properties that Lee surveyed, both times the reports were extremely thorough, the detail of the inspection carried out was fantastic, all follow up questions that I had related to the survey of the properties Lee was very helpful and took the time to explain in detail so I fully understood. I would not hesitate to recommend Lee at Horizon home surveys to my family and friends.

Would recommend to everybody!

Had 2 properties surveyed by Lee. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Was thorough, polite, helpful and very knowledgeable. As a first time buyer, each process is daunting but Lee made us feel at ease and was happy to explain in depth any questions we had. 100% would use Horizon again if we needed to.
