Fantastic customer service - I was sent the wrong lock by accident but they were incredibly fast to rectify the issue by dispatching the replacement within an hour using tracked 24hr shipping free of charge. The lock was also competitively priced

Positives ,Prices were great and delivery was fast. They also answer the phone quickly which I appreciated.

Negatibes.Unfortunately, the tyres (Schwalbe Marathon Plus) arrived squashed in a plastic bag and were badly misshapen. I normally fit these tyres myself .They're known to be tough, but when properly shaped, I can manage without tools. However, these arrived bent, deformed, and wouldn’t hold a circular shape even after being left out to settle.
As a woman with smaller hands and no tools, I knew I simply wouldnt have the strength or grip to mould or hold the misshapen tyres in place to get them on the rims. Paying someone else or buying tools to fit them defeats the purpose of buying them cheaper online to save money.
I emailed Schwalbe with photos, and they emailed back.
"Thank you for contacting us.
We do not recommend packaging like this. From the images provided it is impossible to tell if the bead has been compromised. However if you are worried please contact the retailer.."
As a customer,I don't know whats usual and what's not. I just know I haven't received them this bent before and last time I ordered from another company they came in a box.
I contacted the seller for a refund. Collegue one who responded was professional in his response and sent a return label. I misread the email and thought the label was missing so called for clarification. Collegue two who answered was rude and dismissive, implying I was incompetent for not being able to fit the tyres and insisting this was standard packaging (which contradicts Schwalbe's advice). Again I do not know the norm. I just know that I wouldn't be able to fit them bent.
I called back and spoke to collegue one who was again very professional and answered my query re return postage costs and he kindly said could return for free using their label.

I returned both tyres using the label provided.
I checked tracking. They were received on Friday.I called Monday regarding the return.Collegue 2 answered.We had a brief pleasant enough exchange. He informed me collegue 1 was on leave for a week and would look into asap and I thanked him and said that would be great. I promptly recieved a refund FOR ONE TYRE... I also recieved an unprofessional, sarcastic email stating:

“Hi. All refunded. Just to let you know, I fitted the tyre to a new wheel and it fits perfectly. Maybe you should let someone who knows what they're doing sort your bike next time.”

Totally unnecessary tone and poor customer care.
I have emailed a query to raise the issue of the refund for ONE tyre only but knowing that professional collegue no. 1 is on leave for a week, I'm not sure how collegue 2 will respond, so I’ve now had to raise a PayPal claim to recover the refund for the second tyre. Thankfully, I kept the return receipt showing the weight of the full parcel.
It’s a shame, this could have been a minor issue easily resolved. Instead, it turned into an unpleasant and frustrating experience due to poor attitude and a lack of professionalism once I raised a concern.

Although not local to me, I have always had excellent service and great prices from Hopkins cycles and I like to support an independent business..

Purchased two gravel tyres at lowest price that I could find online. Goods despatched early next day and arrived by Royal Mail two days later.

I ordered from them on ebay. The price was very competitive (maybe the best at the time) for a brand new product in original packaging. They are good and efficient to deal with in my opinion.

Ordered two Kenda tyres and inner tubes , two days arrived good price too

Before ordering I emailed them with a question about one of the things I wanted. They got back to me with an answer the same day.
I placed my order at 12.18pm and got the notification that it had been dispatched at 12.56pm. The order (not sent with Evri! That's always a bonus in my books.) arrived two days later - securely packaged with not a millimetre of unused space in the box!
As for the price, absolutely unbeatable value.

I bought two tyres and tubes from Hopkinsons . The price was half that of Halfords !! Also a very fast delivery even though I ordered late on Friday they arrived, well packaged, on Tuesday. I will definitely use Hopkinsons again!

I was very impressed by my shopping experience with Hopkinson Cycles. This was my first purchase from the company.
I bought two Continental Ultra Sports tyres at a very good price. I ordered at lunchtime on Sunday and, as it was the weekend, expected a few days wait for delivery. I paid a bargain £2 delivery upgrade to speed the progress. I was informed at 6.30 next morning that my tyres were on their way. They arrived within 48 hours of placing the order. Exceptional service. Great communication too. I will certainly use Hopkinson Cycles again and have forwarded their web link to my cycling colleagues of which there are many. I am a trained bike mechanic with a lifetime's experience of cycling.
BTW: The tyres were just the job for my needs. Some reviewers have reported that fitting the tyres can be difficult - they're tight on wheel rims. I found that a thin line of hand gel (COVID leftovers even) will ease the tyre into place without the need for heavy duty leavers or brute force. Thanks again Nick & co.

Ordered 2 tyres for mountain bike on sunday evening , arrived tuesday morning . Great service and great price. Easy to order .

Still waiting to receive an order placed 2 weeks ago, which was I told had been dispatched the following today. There is no tracking link provided, so it's impossible to know when my item will be received.

I ordered some chains from Hopkinson cycles, and received them quickly. However, they had made an error and sent a wrong one. I emailed them and Nick replied quickly to apologise and sent me a link for a paid return and dispatched the corrected chain using a 24 hour delivery service, which I received the next day!
Excellent customer service and great prices, I will definitely use again!
