It was a very thorough process getting my solar panels installed and Home Smart Energy clearly explained everything to me and answered all my questions as I didn’t know much about how it all worked. System is working great and very happy with their work.

Everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful with what system would be best for my house. The installers and electricians were all lovely chaps and did an amazing job.

Can’t recommend this company enough! Installation was smooth from start to finish, great communication from all members of staff from the initial visit to installation. Electrician showed us the app and how the system worked, very simple and easy to understand.

The wait was worth it, we’re hoping to see some changes with our energy bills, especially with the changing rates at the moment. Homesmart helped us right from the start and were very patient with our questions and understanding. I think we spoke to Amy several times and she was very helpful and quick to come back to us. A lovely small company who really looks after their customers and has a great passion for the business. Hope you enjoyed the tea & snacks!

Very impressed with Homesmart, 5 weeks from Survey to fitting, all working vey well and support has been excellent. Huge energy saving and repayment from grid feed. The installation was very quick and efficient. Highly recommend them.

Installation was fine and solar panels are working well.
However the post installation documentation which was supposed to arrive within 14 days did not. these documents are required to switch to an appropriate tariff with your energy provider and to be paid for the electricity you send back to the grid. It took numerous phone calls and emails (some unanswered) to resolve the situation.
The complete documentation finally arrived almost 5 months after the installation.

The install had a few hiccups due to lack of communication between scaffolding company and home Smart energy. Once fitted, 3 weeks late, all seems to be working OK.

Communication seems to be a serious problem as they never responded to my emails and the phone was not answered.

I was very pleased with the service provided by Home Smart Energy as part of the "join up" scheme run by our local council. The staff were efficient, polite, tidy and any questions were dealt with in a professional manner.
We did have a battery failure, which I would emphasise was a manufacturing fault, and the replacement was brought speedily and quickly installed.

I would recommend an installation by this company to anyone.

I could not be more pleased with my Solar Panel installation by Home Smart Energy. The whole process from first contact via my local council to the installation on 28 April 2022 went exactly as it had been outlined to me.
The actual installation (of 18 panels across two linked areas on my roof) was started and finished in just six hours, and I was immediately generating my own electricity. I have two storage batteries as part of my installation, and I strongly recommend any potential client to ensure that they include batteries as part of their own system.
In the current 'high-electricity-price' environment I have been amazed at the beneficial impact that my solar panels have had on my monthly bills.

Very pleased with the whole process of invitation, education, application of provision of solar energy to our property in East Sussex. Found Home Smart Energy to be good communicators, proficient and polite installers, and quick to respond to any queries I had.

We had our solar system installed at the end of June. The communication about the installation was very good and we also had an electric car charger included in the package, and a battery. We also had bird netting as we live in an area with a lot of birds visiting and nesting. The SolisCloud App is excellent to see how much energy we are generating at any time, and where it is going - being used, stored in the battery or exported to the grid. The lovely Summer means we generated more electricity than we needed, and we are now signed up for an export tariff, although we don’t expect to export much through the winter. We charge our electric car as much as possible when the sun is out, to benefit from the free electricity we are self-generating.

From the start to the finish our experience with Home Start Energy was very good . Following the initial contact and in agreement of the work being carried out, everything went smoothly. Photographs needed to be taken and more precise measurements completed , we was then advised how many panels was needed to give us the most efficient use of the solor panels .
Instalation of the panels and the battery was completed within 2 hours, therefore there was very little disruption to our day . All work was carried out professionally without mess.

Super helpful customer service, very attentive and always happy to listen. Had my installation in Sep22 and it’s been blue skies (at least for us) since. Process was smooth and had very little hiccups, all of which were sorted immediately with no further action. Scaffolders are lovely guys and would like to thank the whole team for their understanding and respect for us throughout. we were informed of the process and all possible delays including the DNO application which was chased and sorted within the specified time.

Survey and installation were OK apart from some 'loose ends'. Communication is truly awful - calls are not returned and emails are not answered. Now my inverter has a fault, the lack of support is proving to be a complete barrier to a working system. I cannot see how it will be resolved without using a small claims court.

Update followng response: So, no denial of truly awful communication which leaves customers with no choice but to take matters into their own hands. Are all the other reviews wrong too? The reply shows a complete lack of understanding about customer service. In the end, I dealt with the manufacturer directly and resolved the problem myself.

Install teams were great. Customer service team were really understanding when we had covid day before install they rescheduled and when we were clear again they came and completed a neat install, guys were very friendly and answered any questions we had on the day. They are very very busy and being part of the council scheme we took this into account when contacting them, they do their best and we are pleased with the system we have.

Very poor service to repair damage done in early May. Lack of communication, lack of action and lack of courtesy with no replies to calls (hardly ever able to get through and don’t reply when they say they will), emails or letters. How can this company keep trading with such an appalling record of customer service?
