My wife and I chose Hitchd for our wedding registry, and based on our experience I would strongly recommend looking at alternative providers (we ended up using given2).

Our wedding funds have been unavailable since February and have now been held for five months. We were never proactively informed that the funds had been frozen, and throughout the process communication has been extremely poor. We have repeatedly asked for updates and a clear timeline, but have received very little meaningful information about when our money will be released.

Hitchd has told us the delay is related to an AML review in Australia. We completely understand that companies must comply with anti-money laundering regulations. Our concern is not that checks are being carried out, but the lack of transparency, the absence of clear timelines, and the apparent lack of urgency despite holding a significant amount of our money for months.

What makes this even more disappointing is that Hitchd charges a 5% fee for its gifting service—far higher than many alternative platforms that charge little or nothing. For that level of fee, we expected responsive customer support and professional handling of what has been an incredibly stressful situation.

We also communicated directly with Ollie, one of the co-founders, hoping the issue would be escalated. Unfortunately, we felt there was very little empathy or ownership of the problem. After five months, we have not received an apology for the disruption or any gesture to acknowledge the impact this has had on us as customers.

If you're considering Hitchd for your wedding, I would think very carefully before trusting them with your wedding gifts. Our experience has been that a large amount of money can be inaccessible for months, with very limited communication and no clear resolution.

The main reason why we subscribed was to receive gifts from guests using credit card. Our wedding is in December 2026 and their credit card payment option has been unavailable for months. Absolutely disappointed.

I set up my wedding website and registry with Hitchd because from experience of trying a few, it seemed the most user-friendly with features we wanted and an integrated registry.

Unfortunately like many others, we were affected by the payment lock whilst Hitchd went through regulation. My wedding is in 5 weeks so I need a registry to share with guests, and had already received some contributions. However the registry was locked and guests were unable to contribute, and I was unable access the money already in it.

Customer service were brilliant and dealt with everything swiftly, refunding guest contributions, refunding my own website fee, and redirecting our Hitchd URL to another wedding website.

Hopefully the issue with other registries is resolved ASAP for everyone affected

Our wedding was in Feb 2026 and like many others here, we have still not received the money our guests contributed to the wishing well… We were counting on the money for our honeymoon and needed to lend money to make ends meet on the trip. Hitch’d claims that they are undergoing a financial regulatory review and this is preventing them from sending our money - every time we follow up the date gets pushed out. I certainly hope this company is not letting people set up new registries but in case you are considering it - take it from us, do not use this service. Put out a jar at the wedding and get people to bring cash, it’s not worth risking gifts from your loved ones for the ease of a qr code.

Card payments and their payout have been unavailable for months. I paid $250 for the credit card contribution ability and I cannot access the funds and my guests cannot contribute by card.

I am still waiting to transfer my wedding registry money from 6 weeks ago. We need and expected to have this money by now.

Really disappointed in this service. Not just this hidden fees have payed wayyy more for this service that we thought and still are waiting.

Unable to transfer funds out of my account? $1300 that I have appear to have now lost? Scam, do not recommend. No contact number or email. Just a chat bot. I don't have high hopes of getting my money back...

Excellent platform. Stylish and simple to use, as it should be.

"free to use", "no transaction fee for registry if you pay a set amount"... neither are true.
It lulls you into spending time and setting things up, and when you go to make the website live, it finally says there is a compulsory fee after all.

This app has made our wedding planning a much smoother process. Being able to provide guests with all the wedding details, q&a, RSVP option and gift donations is great! If we could bulk email the guest list from the site - that would be a major help. Hopefully coming soon.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Horrible customer service with no actual number to call. They only responded via email two days later because I needed to change where I was transferring funds which you also can not do on their website. On top of it all transferring funds takes 10 days to show up on their website then an additional few to show up in your personal account, so two weeks. I will tell anybody I know to stay the hell away from this company.

We honestly love Hitchd for being able to provide exactly and only what we were looking for. We wanted a simple link and easy to use website so giving for our family and friends would be easy and enjoyable. There are no hidden fees and it’s so easy to use my grandma even used it no problem. I also appreciate the breakdown of the fee percentage and the ability to split or fully pay on either parties side.

Truly made our black tie Wedding seamless. Our guests raved about how easy it was to use. The platform has been designed flawlessly. We will be recommending this to everyone.

Really happy with the service and dedication of the customer care team. I had a bit of trouble setting up my Swedish bank account with their payment provider, but they worked on it continuously until there was a solution. Very grateful for the effort put in to make one customer happy :)

Hitchd has been such a lifesaver for me and my partner while planning our wedding! It’s kept everything really organised, from sending out our invitations to managing our registry — and I love having it all in one place. The best bit is being able to personalise it with our own style and add our own photos, so it really feels like us. Our guests have found it easy to use too, which takes so much stress off. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend Hitchd enough for couples who want something simple, stylish and stress-free.

Great site for registry - easy to use

It is very user friendly and easy to set up.
Wedding guests have been easily able to access it using the link and donate to presents.

I would like it if it was a little bit easier to tailor custom products for a wedding registry where all you want to do is add items from stores. We still did this but it could be easier by choosing this as an option when setting up the registry and removing options to put on the template items such as travel trips etc.
