What a great response to my SOS call
What a great response to my SOS call. Ella was able to arrange a next day visit by the engineers Martin and Josh. She explained what would be done initially and the cost.
The guys arrived on their and explained what they were doing at each stage. Another visit was necessary and the following day Felix arrived a new part was needed for my boiler. All 3 guys were efficient, friendly and tidy thanks for everything.

Failure of 'Reasonable Care and Skill' – Resolved only after escalation
Highfield Heating breached Section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 by failing to diagnose a blatant physical fault that a third-party engineer fixed easily. Despite providing manufacturer data showing a 46°C temperature gap they missed, the company refused to cancel their "diagnostic fee" and attempted to use administrative stalling tactics.
They eventually cancelled the debt "on a commercial basis" once they realised I would not be bullied and had formal cases open with Trading Standards and the Gas Safe Register. A deeply unprofessional company that seems to prefer debt collection over technical competence. Be very wary of their service.

We are sorry to see this review and strongly dispute the claims made.
The invoice referenced was initially withdrawn as a goodwill gesture to bring the matter to a close, not as any admission of fault or liability. This has since been misrepresented.
The situation described was not straightforward. The manufacturer’s own report confirms that full access to the appliance was restricted, meaning a complete inspection or strip-down could not be carried out.
In addition, a further third party engineer attended after the manufacturer and did not identify or evidence a blocked heat exchanger. This inconsistency between findings demonstrates that the issue was not clear-cut or consistently diagnosable.
We therefore reject the suggestion that there was any failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.
We also dispute the characterisation of our conduct and the statements made regarding this matter.
As this issue is now subject to formal review and ongoing proceedings it would not be appropriate to comment further in a public forum.
Excellent service from start to finish
We had excellent service from Highfield Plumbing and Heating. We were impressed by the efficiency and reliability of the whole process. Craig was clearly very knowledgeable and fixed our heating system quickly and efficiently. We would certainly recommend and will use again.

Very nice helpful knowlegable engineer
Very nice helpful knowlegable and patient engineer who attended my 92 yr old, nearly deaf relative. Explained everything to him and cleaned up well afterwards. Would highly recommend them and we are using them again.

Amazing service!
Craig came out in about October to fix my leaking boiler. We contacted him and he fit us in the next day. He sorted it all in just over an hour and gave me advice on what I needed to do to avoid the problem happening again.
He then came back recently with Joshua to do a full system flush and both were very professional and did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend!

Excellent experience with Highfield…
Excellent experience with Highfield plumbing and heating from the start.
Booked in quickly to visit my property to give an assessment and quote for the job required, once accepted again the date for installation was hastily scheduled to my required time frame.
On the day of installation I was texted by the company to confirm that they were on their way which was very helpful.
The job was completed in a timely fashion and my property was left in the same condition as before.
The after care and close contact with the company post installation was exemplary.
I would definitely recommend Highfield Plumbing and heating. Excellent all round.
