Henson is the GOLD STANDARD of Double Edge Safety Razors
Henson is the gold standard for a safe (no cuts or blood) double edge (DE) safety razor. It only takes a shave or two to get comfortable with the Henson. My other DE safety razors all had a steep learning curve, which included cuts and blood. The Henson Razor has the highest machining tolerances in the history of DE razors, which makes it safe and efficient. In my opinion, there is not even a close second. If you don't have a Henson, you need a Henson. Happy Shaving.

The razor is AMAZING!
The razor is AMAZING!! First shave didn’t even feel like another blade I’ve used. It was smooth, clean and precise!! Cannot recommend high enough.

it was difficult to find the medium…
it was difficult to find the medium razor. I expected it would be listed as a separate product, but the only way I could get to it was via a tiny link on the "gentle" razor's page. If you are trying to discourage purchases of the medium (and there may be very valid reasons for doing this) it makes sense. Otherwise why make it harder for people to give you money?

The mild does mostly the same as the medium and the mild is safer. We have chosen to make the mild the primary razor on the site. We have strong feedback from customers their favourite part of the Henson is how safe it is. The smoothness & safeness together seem to be the winning combo. Great feedback. Thanks!
Blown away by the Henson shaving experience!
I would like to congratulate you for an absolutely wonderful shaving experience! At first, when I tried it, I didn't think it was doing anything (because typically to shave it that close would cause a lot of face ripping and bleeding!), but I checked the smoothness of my face and it felt like a bathtub shave without having soaked in the bathtub! Amazing! And also fantastic, is the fact that I don't have to go out of my way to buy special and or expensive blades to supply my Henson razor. Thanks again!

Waiting for it to be shipped
Ordered the razor 4 days ago, but still haven't gotten a shipping notification. However I did get an email asking for a review. Still have high hopes for the razor, but not impressed so far.

good but why the price tag?
The product is genuinely good, but feels heavily overpriced. Maybe I'm missing something but it's just 3 pieces of cast metal, albeit well-finished.

This isn't cast metal. Its precision machined. Getting these out the door at this price took massive investment and only makes sense at scale. This precision is complex to make and even harder to make consistently. The shave you feel is a direct result of this precision. Hope this answered your question. Henson versus Mult-blade
I am very satisfied with the results of my Henson safety razor. A very smooth shave. I hadn't used a single blade for years. The first time I used it I nicked my chin. I attribute to a difference in shaving technique of a single blade and a multi-blade. With a multi-blade you seem to shave faster. I'll be just as fast with the single blade once I've used it for a few weeks.

Truly the best shave
I’ve always been very skeptical of the “best” shave. As long as I can remember, I’ve had ingrown hairs and razor bumps every time I shaved. All of special razors and creams didn’t help. Then I decided to try Henson and I’m sold. Every company says they deliver the best shave. Henson actually does. This is the first time I haven’t had razor bumps or ingrown hairs. This is the only razor I’ll use.
