Much nicer experience than my other safety razor (I shaved half with each to see). That said, it would be even better if it had a bit more heft.. maybe a weighted handle?
Colour is awesome, love the grain and machining marks still visible. Shows there's no mistakes to cover up.

This is a great looking razor; its aesthetics rate five stars. Also it's construction is very well done. This is a well designed and manufactured product. However, I am not at all happy with the shave it gives. My Mac3 yields a closer shave with less razor burn. I would note that men have varying types of facial skin which results in different qualities of shave with any razor. I am a white 75 year old living in the Southwest where it is dry and hot. You might have a totally different experience with this razor. While I hope that will be the case for you, but for me, I will return the razor for a refund,

Outstanding! I've used many razors, especially safety razors over the years in search of something that will give me a good shave without leaving my skin irritated. The Henson AL13 is by far the best razor I've ever had. Everyone should throw out their current razors and get a Henson immediately!

The ordering and delivery speed were fine.
HOWEVER I was somewhat surprised and annoyed to receive a customs tax and shipping surcharge of 31€, about 40% on top of the items cost.
This extra cost could have been reduced to 19€ had an option (to pay import tax) been added at checkout.

I have yet to try the product itself but still feel the need to leave a review.

My Henson Medium AL-13 arrived today. Had to take it for a spin. Simply put after 3 passes, BBS. The hardest learning about the razor is not to apply any pressure. It is so smooth you think there is no blade loaded. Trust me there is :-)

First impressions, the razor has a nice look, beautifully machined. I was taken back by how light the razors weighs, I’m used to a heavier metal razor.
The best part of this razor is using it, you receive a beautiful shave without the major razor burn you can receive with a conventional safety razor. Plus with my old razor I had to be sooo careful otherwise I always get nicks, not so with Henson.
I only gave the review 4 stars out of five because i didn’t receive the colour I wanted, they sent me green instead of Azure. My new favourite grooming tool.

This is the best shave I've ever had! Ordered a blue one and it arrived 4 days later. Checked to make sure my blades I already owned fit as well and lathered up, zero drag, extremely easy to feel cutting angle with design. I've been using a safety razor for a few years and this one is by far the best I've ever used, and even smoother than most expensive 5 blade razor too

Customer service is excellent! I had a rather humorous issue with my order. The Customs people saw the color of my razor (coral) and mistakenly thought that it was a piece of coral, and held up the shipment. Jonathan from Henson stepped in and solved the problem. I have my razor now, and it was definitely worth the small extra wait.

I really love that it’s a Canadian product ! Someone once said that everything in this world can and will be made better, we’ll look no further for the ultimate safety razor, this is IT !!!

Although I haven’t yet received my razor, the ordering experience was smooth and they informed when it was shipped. I am looking forward to receiving it.

First time using a safety razor and wow am I impressed. Best shave with almost zero irritation, and my neck usually gets chewed up by all cartridge razors and electric. Worth the money upfront since you'll save hundreds on blades.

The shop is fine, but a bit short on products. I would have liked having the option of buying a shaving brush etc as well.

The acquisition and customer service experience was top-tier! I’ve yet to enjoy the use of such a razor however, the anticipation of arrival is slaying. If the razor is anything like the purchase process or customer service, I will be set for life.

The razor was delivered quickly and ordering the handle was simple. However, I wish they would make the options between the mild and more aggressive handles easier to discover so that shoppers know precisely which one they're purchasing. Otherwise they're so similar that you could easily make a mistake.

I was absolutely not sure as I bought this shaver. Today I received the parcel. Unfortunately it was heavily damaged from the delivery. With luck the shaver was not damaged.

Now I just tried out the shaver - and it is absolutely brilliant! Normally I use Gillette, but the new Henson is at least as good and far less expensive! I am happy, that I ordered it and can definitely recommend it.

All in all a nice shopping experience and a good quality product.
Even tough i am usually quite sceptical to grand claims i understood the engineering behind it.
I was using similar razor for years and recently purchased new (same ) one and could feel the "cost cutting" effects of the quality downgrade. Given that the HS was standing behind its product with a moneyback guarantee i decided to buy it and try it.
On first shave the difference was very evident, the razor was cutting hair nice clean and without pulling. It proved to be quite gentle on the skin as well.
Given that the blade is protruding only slightly it takes a bit more work to take of hair that is few days grown (i tend to shave 1-2 per week) but since it was cutting nice and pain-free it was no bother to make few extra moves. It also cleans shaven hair from the razor quite nice and easy. At first, i thought that it cannot do a clean shave without under shaving (which also is not a problem since it cuts hair in such a way it does not make them grow in). After a few shaves, I figured it can make a clean shave without under shaving but it takes a bit different position of the razor than i was accustomed with the old one.
Definitely would recommend, even though at first it might look like a pricey gadget it is very well made and durable, the only way it will fail is if you break it :D .
But the most important is that it makes the task of shaving more comfortable.
