Used the quoting procedure and had a quote for £699 for 500 litres - then received a phone call from someone called Jill at Certas, reacting to my e-mail which I sent to certas energy asking if the heating oil club was a con.
Jill said no it was not a con, however they could not give me a firm quotation for the oil, and that I would have to pay a difference between what I was quoted by the heating oil club (so-called) and the correct price at certas would charge,
I asked for my money back, and I was told that they would send back £665, Which of course would leave me £34 Out of pocket.
I can honestly say that this organisation, if I can call it that, is a dysfunctional and disgraceful smokescreen for somebody making a little bit of money in between a client and the old company.
Beware stay away don't touch this with a barge pole.

Ordered oil on 1/3, acknowledged on the same day, confirmed and funds taken from my account on 2/3. Order cancelled on 3/3 and still awaiting return of funds. Should not be allowed. Beware customers if you are thinking of joining.

Second time I’ve used the heating oil club and it was just as good as the first.
Getting a quote, ordering and paying is all very straightforward and the oil was delivered ahead of schedule. The price was better than I could have achieved myself. The is a fantastic business offering real value and good old fashioned customer serve. I will use them next time.

Prompt delivery, reasonable price

I put in two orders for heating oil last Saturday morning, 1000litres each for myself and one for an elderly neighbour. The ordering process on the website is really straightforward and easy to negotiate. I always get an acknowledgement of the order immediately. Their prices are excellent and nearly always their quotes are more competitive than with most other suppliers. Been with the Heating Oil Club for a few years now and can't see myself going elsewhere any time soon. I should also say that delivery is very quick. My last order took only six days to arrive - excellent!!

Easy ordering process with fast delivery and at an extremely competitive price.

Prompt delivery, within 5 days of placing my order. Driver rang me 5 mins before arriving to let me know. Delivery was efficient and quick.

I've used this method of ordering oil many times and cannot fault it. Usually the price is cheaper than our local oil group can negotiate. Certas delivery drivers are very pleasant and careful and I've never had to wait more then a fortnight for a delivery.

Why has the heating oil club increased their price by over 90% since 28/2/26 when oil prices on world markets have only increased by less than 20%???

The mail confirming order said I would be contacted the day before, but pleased with the service and driver was very polite and respectful.

Been using THOC for 12 yrs, I compare with other sites, this is always the cheapest. Another well I own site often has the PPL showing slightly cheaper, but in fact the overall price showing is always higher, guessing it’s a fee they put on top. Never had an issue with THOC, only issues with I’ve had are with the supplier, which is always Certas, and then only had issues since Certas took over Butler Fuels. All the issues people are having seem to be with the supplier not THOC. Whenever I need to get in touch with THOC, I email them and I usually get a reply same day. Certas on the other hand, hard to get hold of, rude customer service, unbelievable some of the issues and excuses I’ve had from them.
