Harris Hair Transplant UK 

Last weekend I visited Dr Harris to understand what was happening with my hair and whether I was a candidate for a hair transplant. Rather than a hard sell Dr Harris explained exactly what was happening with my hair and that a hair transplant wasn't the right thing to do at present until my hair loss was under control. He has provided me some information about what medication I can take to get this under control which I am still reviewing. Dr Harris was very friendly, knowledgeable and put me at ease over a topic which is quite sensitive. I would highly recommend visiting Dr Harris

I had my free consultation with Dr. Harris today, and I’m very happy and confident with it. I initially sought out Dr. Harris after some research, and one of the things that drew me in to contacting him was because of his approach towards the patient’s best interest. Today, Dr. Harris and I had a discussion and his professional advice was to potentially not get a hair transplant, and I just personally think that demonstrates his professional work ethic as he is clearly prioritising my needs as a patient above anything else. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Harris to anyone and, if I do decide to go through with a hair transplant, will absolutely be contacting him again!

I had a free consultation and can't recommend or speak highly enough of it. Gave me the best advice for my hair (which wasn't a transplant) and steps to take going forward. I came to Dr Harris from abroad after a botched hair transplant asking him to correct the unnatural geometrical design of the hairline as well as the density that was quite low. I was confident I would finally get a hairline that I would not have to cover up with my bangs. However, I have to admit that I consider my transplant at this clinic to be botched as well. I had another FUT which produced a second scar instead of reusing the old scar, causing a large hairless spot in the back of my head where the two scars actually merge. Peculiarly, the hair around the FUT scar was traumatised in a way that it grew back black, coarse and wiry. Dr Harris planned to give me “the two bumps that a natural female hairline requires”. However, I only got it on the right side, leaving the left side with the same geometrical round appearance. All of the transplanted hair was placed in a 90 degree angle (which might be appropriate for a male hairline design) which causes the hair to be sticking out in a weird way and to completely look out of place in comparison with my natural hair that lies flat on the sides. I spend a considerable amount of time every day trying to flatten the hair using a blow dryer. All of the transplanted hair has been traumatised. My natural hair is dark blonde/light brown, 100% straight, very thin and super soft, the new hair is black, coarse, wiry and extremely thick. It hurts to say that but it looks like pubic hair. I have also had an innumerable amount of 2/3/4 hair follicles placed in the very front row giving the hairline a doll like appearance. This whole experience has been mentally very stressful because I feel trapped underneath my bangs now and ashamed to show the hairline to anyone. I contacted Dr Harris about a refund in order to have the transplant corrected in another clinic but was quite brusquely told I wouldn’t get any refund because I was asking for more density in my first email contacting them and that’s what I’ve got. In the last months I have spent a lot of time and money on micro excisional graft removal to have the worst follicles removed and placed further back which is extremely difficult because almost all of the hair grows back (probably because it’s been placed too deep, also causing pitting in many places). I think that the vast majority of hair transplant surgeons are very good at creating male hair lines but have very little knowledge about a natural female hairline.

What would I have wanted from Dr Harris? Probably to tell me not to have the procedure with him and advise me to look for a skilled nearby surgeon who knows how to reverse a botched hair transplant instead of putting more bad transplants into an already badly transplanted area, which makes restoring it much more difficult. But now that he’s done the procedure I would have wanted him to place the grafts more naturally (spaced out, creating a transition zone from
fine hair to more dense areas, place the transplants in a steep angle falling to the sides of the temples), to handle the transplants with more care and to reduce transfer time to avoid hypoxia and prevent the hair from completely changing in structure, to not leave one side of the forehead in its botched geometrical shape.

Dr Harris and his trusty gang of amazing techs make you feel welcome the moment you arrive.Nothing is too much trouble and the procedure is spelled out to you in a comprehensive and informative manner.The procedure, excluding, anaesthetic injections, is largely painless. The techs are charming and funny and have figured out the art of deflecting questions to their boss, which, I am sure , avoids both misinformation and misunderstanding. After care is superb and your surgeon is in touch should you need reassuring. I will be writing a further review in a few months, when I am able to see the final results of my, hopefully, full head of hair.

Dr Harris was very clear after my examination that my issue was to stop hair loss with medication before we started reviewing the implants procedure. Sound advice and genuinely felt he was after the best results rather than just saying yes yes and taking the money. We will be reviewing the situation in 6 months and highly recommend this to be your first point of call too get away from the BS on a lot of sites.

Like most patients seeking advice on hair loss, I was already going through a whole gamut of emotions and fears. I had already consulted with a few hair loss specialists, each of whom provided their (various) opinions. Having spoken to three other surgeons, I can honestly say that Dr Haseeb was the most professional. His natural demeanour is one of calmness and he patiently explained the various options for my situation.

He recommended a non-surgical option and not once suggested a hair transplant for my particular condition (unlike another surgeon who almost immediately recommended surgery totalling £21K!). Surgery is always an invasive procedure and should be seen as a last option, not the first resort. A hair transplant is a major decision - not to mention expensive - and one which therefore should not be taken lightly. Do gather several opinions but make sure that one of them is from Dr Haseeb. I can’t recommend him enough.

Great honest and no pressure conversation. Had my interests and concerns at the forefront of all the discussions we had. After my assessment I feel well guided, in good hands and have a solid understanding of what's to come and what works best for me.

Brilliant experience from start to finish , Harris and his staff are friendly, professional and make you feel at ease. Procedure was fully explained and completed with minimal discomfort. This wasn’t my first time using Harris, which says it all.

I arranged my consultation with Dr Harris after having read the numerous positive reviews available online. My own experience reflects the reviews I've read - Dr Harris was warm and welcoming, attentive and patient, informative and considered in his advice. He took time to understand my hair-loss concerns and wishes and gave me honest advice. The biggest take-away from our discussion was the need to have a long-term hair-loss plan: to understand that transplant decisions I make now may impact on what I may or may not be able to do in the future. He recommended a 2,000 follicle transplant to the hair-line, but then have scalp micro-pigmentation (rather than transplant) to give the effect of thickening the frontal area, particularly behind the transplant. In this way it avoids over-harvesting the donor area in case I need another transplant later down the line.
It is clear Dr Harris cares about the welfare of prospective patients - he urges careful consideration, not pushing for a sale. He took the time to answer all my questions and even offered an open invitation to return if I wished to discuss things further. I would imagine very few surgeons would offer their time so freely.
The consultation was very helpful and I am hoping to book a transplant with Dr Harris in the near future.
