Forget the high street jewellers, Harper Tait Fine Jewellery opens the eyes to quality in both what you buy but also who you buy from.
Directly dealt with George who was both extremely helpful and informative and aided with making a daunting decision nearly stress free and somewhat easy.
There was no pressure from George and the honesty he gave went a long way!
Very transparent and I could see not only the skill and knowledge he had but the care and passion he has in what he does.
Although brief as I dealt with George, I had great interactions with Paul who was also passionate about what he does and very welcoming.
I would also like to say to all those in the process I have not met, they provided a beautiful ring!
Not just a single use jeweller, one that I hope to use for life!

I bought an engagement ring for my fiancé late last year - and from the start, Paul was super helpful and generous with his time. He took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered and that I was happy with the ring given it was a bespoke design. The final product was really beautiful! We have also taken advantage of the aftercare service and it was as promised (cleaning etc.) - we would highly recommend them to our friends!

We had a really positive experience with George when buying an engagement ring. He is clearly very knowledgeable and he made the whole process very smooth. We came into the process with a strong idea of what we wanted, and George helped us design a ring which honoured this original vision whilst improving on it to really get the most out of our diamond. Just wanted to say thank you to George for helping with everything in picking out the perfect engagement ring for my fiancé. Had only planned on an inital 30 minute meeting to help inform myself of what I needed to look for but 90 minutes in, walked out completely satisfied with bespoke ring on order.
George was amazing in going through and explaining everything giving me the confidence in what I was buying. He also showed, whilst beautiful designs/stones, only options within our budget and never pushed to go higher making it a very comfortable experience throughout. Have already started recommending to friends and colleagues and will bo doubt be going back to Harper Tait for wedding bands!

I can’t recommend Harper Tait highly enough. From our very first appointment with George, the experience was unlike anything we’d had with other jewellers in Hatton Garden. So many places felt rushed and transactional almost like being processed through a factory, with strict appointment times and limited choice - ushered in and out with little time to explore or feel truly heard.

George, however, was the complete opposite. He took time to really listen, understand our ideas, and once my partner and I had a better idea of what we liked he guided me through possibilities I hadn’t even thought of. He patiently talked me through all the details of the diamonds – from carat weight and cut to ratios and quality – so that I knew exactly what to look for and what everything meant. It made the whole process feel easy, not overwhelming.

His attention to detail, patience, and creativity made the experience deeply personal and collaborative rather than pressured or routine. The result is the most beautiful, unique engagement ring that feels completely ours.

If you’re looking for something meaningful and an experience that’s as special as the ring itself, I wholeheartedly recommend Harper Tait and George.

It is no easy process buying something so important but Paul put me at ease and was very knowledgeable and helpful. When there is so much to choose from online and so many stores, I'd recommend making an appointment with Harper Tait to go through all the choices you have available. We also bought our wedding bands from Paul, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Paul and George at Harper Tait were incredible. They were warm and welcoming the first time I went in and went above and beyond to ensure that the ring I bought was bespoke and specifically tailored to what I wanted. They were engaging, patient and communicative on timings and offered a first class service. Would recommend to anyone.

Working with Paul was a great experience. From the very first meeting he was welcoming, wasn't pushy in making a sale and was very helpful with the information he shared.
The ring I wanted to make was unusual with a ruby focus rather than a diamond and some more complex gold work. Other jewellers had turned me away for it being too complex or wanted to ship the design to China but Harper Tait were ready to work with me and make the ideas I had a reality.
There was no pressure on upselling, the ring came in far below the initial budget we discussed and it was because with Paul's guidance we found the right stones for the design that didn't break the budget.
The ring is incredible, finally seeing it after Paul's sketches and the CAD images was great. Ive received so many compliments from friends and fsmily, but most importantly the fiance loves it.
I am very happy that I went with Harper Tait and would definitely use their services again, we are planning to work with them on the wedding bands next.
