I went last month to have a hair transplant with Dr Mohammed Ditta via Harley Street Hair Transplant Clinics to bring my hairline forward.

The first stage consultation was with the coordinator Sara Arthur with HSHT who asked what I was wanting to achieve and explained what the process. Showed me examples of other trans women who have had the same work done. Should be noted that HSHT was the only clinic I looked at that actually showed me photos of work done on other women.

The surgeon consultation with Dr Mohammed Ditta was via video, and went over things and I explained what I was wanting which was bring the hair line forward, as much as possible but to look natural for a cis woman of my age. I had quite a large widoes peak.

Upon asking Dr Ditta showed me more examples of trans women who he had done similar work on. He then asked me if I was ok to come in person so he could get better look at my donor area etc.

The in person consultation, he walked me though the process. He marked on my head two suggestions for hair line designs which worked for my face and muscle structure to give an idea of what's achievable. He did make it very clear that the donor area would be quite large. But explained that it would be done in away that the rest of my long hair would cover it up quite quickly. (Personally a short term pain for longer term gains was worthwhile.)

Using the photo of the hair line examples I went over my photo albums of female relatives to find what runs though the family. One of the examples matched my family almost perfectly.

On the day I went for the procedure I meet at the door of the clinic at 8:30 by Dr Ditta, taken up to the consultation room. Went though the process of the day. Talked again about hair lines and I explained which outline I wanted. He explained again that it would require a large donor area. He the marked the design, explained the lay out and asked if it was ok to trim the little area on the front section which was thining so he could fill it out to match.

He then gave me a t shirt to put on to protect my clothes from blood etc. (it was to be cut off at the end day so not to disturb the hair follicles).

Then we went into the main room introduced me to his team and then he shaved the donor area and then applied the local anaesthetic.

Dr Ditta cut the plugs, while the team assisted. I was asked regularly if I was ok and the local anaesthetic was topped up regularly. After finishing a dressing pad was applied and had a comfort break.

After which, Dr Ditta prepared the graft sites first by applying local anaesthetic and then made the incisions. At this point we took a 20 min lunch break (they provided lunch). After which the team inplanted the hairs. Once done it was back to the consultation room, went over the aftercare again and how to attach the head band. A care package was given containing antibiotics, spray bottle with saline solution for the misting phase, baby shampoo for making spray solution for cleaning / scab removal phase, antiseptic cream for treating donor area and swabs to apply it and antibiotics. The care procedures and steps were also sent as videos via an email link. Which was very useful in reminding me the small details etc.

I wanted to say a big big big thank you to Doctor Mohammed Ditta and his wonderful team. I went to get a recovery hair transplant after having my first one done in Turkey, and I must say, I’m absolutely amazed. The difference between the two experiences is unbelievable – it honestly feels like two completely different worlds.

In Turkey, I felt like I was just another number being rushed through the process. Not a single person spoke English and I just felt so lost and alone. There was very little personal care, hardly any proper aftercare advice, and the attention to detail simply wasn’t there.Not to mention extremely poor results.

With Doctor Ditta and his team, it was the complete opposite. From the moment I arrived, they were unbelievably professional, polite, and considerate. They took their time explaining every step, made sure I was comfortable throughout, and you could just tell instantly that they knew exactly what they were doing. Because it’s my second transplant, I could clearly see the difference in skill and precision.

Even though I only had my transplant today, I can already see how much better it looks. The quality of the work, the natural design, and the care I received are on another level.

I’m genuinely so happy with the whole experience and can’t recommend Doctor Mohammed Ditta and his team enough. If anyone is thinking of going abroad – don’t. The level of professionalism, hygiene, and expertise here is worth every penny. Truly outstanding work.

Following my hair transplant last Saturday I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the team, for making my journey as pleasant as possible.
From the first consultation, to having my hotel booked, to the procedure itself, I couldn’t have been more impressed.

Having put up with hair loss around my crown for some time, I decided to take action.
From the initial enquiry I felt in safe hands, naturally I had questions about the procedure. I was put at ease straight away and knew exactly what to expect on the day of the procedure.
The team who performed the transplant were proffesional and caring making the surgery as pleasant as possible.
The aftercare support has been great, I look forward for the coming months as my hair grows and I see the full results take hold.

I'm 6 months in now and the results have been fantastic. I don't think about my hair loss anymore which is such a relief and was all I wanted from this procedure. People who know I've had it done are are always commenting how well it's worked. And I'm only half way through the recovery so there's still more to come! As always the support has been amazing.

Have to start by saying I’m a highly anxious individual and tend to be quite neurotic about making sure I’m following instructions exactly as they are intended.

From the start Sara and the team were incredibly understanding and no question (and believe me I had many both before and after the procedure) was too small or silly. There was one small hiccup around a second consultation being booked for in person when I requested online but this was rectified very quickly.

Dr Ditta was also very diligent and talked me through his experience with similar clientele to myself.

I was able to book my procedure about 6 weeks in advance, which gave me enough time to plan out what I needed to do beforehand.

The day of the procedure was an early start for me as I’m a couple of hours outside of London, but the clinic was super easy to find and you can park up nearby, just outside of the congestion charge zone. All the staff on the day were super friendly and guided me through my nervousness about having the back of my head shaved (I’m a trans woman with quite long hair). There was some very mild pain when getting the anaesthetic injected but after that you feel nothing for the rest of the day. Surprisingly the day flew by when listening to my music (recommend bringing your own in-ear wireless headphones) and lunch was provided for me out of a fair few options. Whole day lasted from about 8:30 through until 4 including pre-procedure chat and aftercare instructions at the end (for reference I had my M-shaped hairline filled in, some grafts around the temple and my hairline lowered just under an inch).

Truthfully, my recovery was hard at times because of my worries about following everything as intended and I was part of the unfortunate group of people getting a hair transplant who got quite bad face swelling the first week after. However, the clinic were great and adapted their instructions to account for this for me.

I just had my two-week follow up this morning and other than a few scabs being overly insistent on staying put everything looks to be going great.

Once again, can’t thank Sara, Dr Ditta and the rest of the team enough for their patience and understanding with me. If you are on the fence about going with Harley Street HT Clinics, I cannot recommend booking a consultation enough, they’ll put you at ease and, from my experience, offer you great service throughout.

My experience at the Nottingham clinic was 1st rate. The entire process from first contact to this mornings 2 week review was very professional where it needed to be but also personal. I would highly recommend Tetiana Mamontova. The entire team around Tetiana on the day were welcoming and made me feel fully at ease prior to what I thought was going to be a very painful 8 hours or so. Everything was explained in full and I had very few if any questions that needed answering throughout the day. Every different part of the process was detailed but not excessively so, as personally I wasn’t interested in hearing how things were being removed from my scalp (so good work there). Other than the initial injections to numb the areas of the scalp (which I will be honest hurt fairly substantially - be prepared to clench as it’s not like a dentist injection). After these jabs I experienced very little pain on the day. The whole process managed to get finished 30-45 minutes quicker than initially suggested but nothing felt rushed. After care info in the form of videos and emails has been very detailed and easy to follow. I did have to chase up a couple of things missing from my after care pack but this was fixed efficiently by Sara. The situation after 2 weeks is better than I could have imagined. Pretty much all the evidence of me having the procedure done has gone and I can return to work after 17 days and if I hadn’t told people I would imagine they would think I have just shaved my head. I’m looking forward to the months ahead to see the final results. Well done team and thank you for your care!

This was my first ever cosmetic procedure, I found Harley street to be friendly, open and informative in the run up to the day. The video calls were a great way to engage without making unnecessary journeys. Overall Costs were competitive with other u.k practices.

The procedure itself was a long day, it is a bit of a slog, however I was made to feel as comfortable as possible and staff were very accommodating.

Post-surgery I was provided with great materials to manage the recovery without re-attending the practice, and the follow up calls were reassuring that you’re not on your own should anything go wrong or need intervention.

Whilst I appreciate some will go the ‘Turkey’ route for FUE procedures to save ££ , if you can afford it, I can’t recommend Harley Street enough for a much less risky, stressful and better supported hair journey.

I am very satisfied with my hair transplant operation from Harley Street Hair Transplant. I was treated with respect and care all the way through the process, with detailed instructions for both pre and post surgery. The customer care staff, my surgeon and the 3 medical assistants were lovely and helpful and I always felt that I was in very safe and competent hands. My pre-surgery accommodation, medication and after care supplies were all provided for me so I had little to worry about.

HSHT was not the first clinic I approached. Other clinics bombarded me with automated whatsapp messages, gave me the hard sell, interrupted my video consultation to answer a mobile phone call, or simply didn't return my messages. In contrast, HSHT made me feel as though the entire process was designed to fit around me and my needs.

10/10 Would definitely recommend!

Very happy with the service throughout. I had my hair transplant last year and am very pleased with the results, but it took nearly a year for the full effect to come through, so bear that in mind. The follow up care has been faultless. Would happily recommend to anyone.

All great from start to finish. Sara with the introduction was very warm and personable, Dr. Ditta and the staff very professional and did a great job in the day of surgery, and Yannis and Stuart were great in the aftercare and checking in appointments.

Had my second hair transplant at Harley Hair Transplant Clinic and couldn’t be happier. The team was warm, kind, and very skilled. Dr Ditter is an excellent surgeon, and even though I’m still early in stages, it’s already a much smoother experience than my first. My only regret is not choosing here for my first hair transplant, 5/5.

I went with Harley Street initially as I wanted a reputable clinic as close to home as possible and I’m glad I did.

The whole process has been simple with plenty of support along the way, Sara has been a brilliant point of contact and while everything has gone well for me it is reassuring to know she is there if I did have any problems alongside the 3 month check ins.

Dr Ditta was fantastic, very calm and experienced, he helped me see what was a realistic result and also how to get the best results possible.

I am 6 months in and my hair has given me a new lease on life again.

I had my transplant 2nd of April 2024 so just past the 1 year results. The team handled the consultation very well, and the procedure went well though a bit uncomfortable (to be expected). The team were supportive with questions throughout. My first hairs started coming through after shedding quickly, only 2 months after the procedure so at around 4 months I had a full head of hair. Since then it’s just become thicker, so overall very pleased with the results. I’ve carried on taking finasteride and minoxidil so should hold up for a long time!

Such a professional experience from start to finish. Sara is such a credit to the company, very informative and a delight to talk too. Dr Ditta was just amazing! He was so calm and ensured I was comfortable throughout the whole process, his assistants were lovely too (forgot their names sorry!) Im not sure if they made up the conversations they were all having to keep me calm or they were genuine but either way it helped a lot! Initially I googled hundreds of times if the anesthetic needles hurt and if anyone is reading this.. yes they're painful but no way near as I imagined, after the first 10 minutes and the head is numb the worst part is waiting for the day to end. I'd been thinking about having the transplant done since my early 20's and I wish I'd done it sooner, even though im now in the 'ugly duckling'phase and it looks a little shabby shedding, I feel amazing.
