I live in the western US and have been admiring many suits from The Happy Gentleman for a very long time. I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchased 3 suits, a tie gift set and single tie. The items arrived within 1 week!

For reference I’m 5’9”, 220# and generally wear 38”x30” pants and XL-XXL shirts. Just to be safe, I ordered all 3 suits in 50US jacket/waistcoat and 44W trousers.

When they arrived they were all a little big and needed to be taken in. I met with a local tailor, and they couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the suits and lining were, and how grateful they were that each suit had extra fabric available for tailoring. They also mentioned businesses who sell suits should take note from “this place” on how to leave extra material just for tailoring.

Once the tailoring was complete, I rushed home and tried them on. My Mrs. couldn’t stop smiling, and neither could I. They look incredible!

I ordered these at the end of July for a wedding in mid-September. I wanted to give myself EXTRA time to make sure everything could be done without having anything rushed. Everything worked out perfectly! The wedding is in 2 weeks and I am all done!

I don’t normally wear suits at my job. However, since I was a kid I have always admired them, especially an 3-piece suit. I love waistcoats, cufflinks, Oxfords, Derby’s, brogues, pocket squares, etc. I wish I had a job where I could wear suits, and having these only makes me wish for that all the more.

I already have another suit saved for my next purchase, and continue to look at the website a few times each week.

Do yourself a favor and avoid the big name dept stores/off the rack suits, and give The Happy Gentleman a try. Give yourself enough time to order one, then time to get it taken in. You won’t be disappointed.

Also, 2 of my 3 suits were Paul Andrew suits, and I really like the feel and quality of this particular brand.

I am very grateful for finding The Happy Gentleman, and plan on being a customer for many, many years to come. Thank you for your time.

The suit itself was a fantastic deal, but beware of the hidden costs. “Free shipping” from the UK does not mean duty fees are covered. DHL held my order until I paid an additional ~$150 in import charges — nearly one-third of the suit’s price. That wasn’t disclosed at checkout. Unfortunately, buying from the UK now means surprise costs and DHL headaches. Overall a thumbs down for transparency. This plus the tailoring expense definitely busts the budget.

Excellent experience. Recommend a suit x 2 up from your usual suit size. For instance I am a 44 but actually but a 50 which has a little room.

The company is straight, honest and has a fast turnaround , so if you do order the wrong size just send it back untampered with ( and unworn) the next day and complete a short but consise return process via their link.

This company is a amazing. When I ordered the wrong size ( for my husband) the suit was ordered, delivered, returned and replaced within one week! The suit is lovely and my husband can't wait to wear it to my daughter's wedding in a couple of weeks.

Returns restocking charges!
When buying something online you would feel that you would have ease of returning your product for a full refund, but instead they took off a small restocking charge.
You can't tell if the colour, fabric and quality is what you are looking for, so feel a bit off to charge this.
It's not normal practice to charge restocking and puts me off to reorder from them again!

Shipping was fantastic however the material feels a little...low budget 😬. I have never owned a suit but I own a lot of formal attire and the quality is a little thin. But I guess it's to be expected for the price point.
