Please update your drivers, HP!

I recently bought a new Mac Mini, but was very disappointed (although not very surprised) that I could no longer connect my trusty 20-year-old HP LaserJet 1200. I tried to find a workaround, but there was no driver available. So I bit the bullet, and bought a new HP LaserJet M207 ... only to find when I tried to install it that HP don't support OS15 (Sequoia). How ridiculous is that? Surely a brand-new printer should be compatible with the latest Mac software? It's not as though OS15 has only just been released – it's on 15.2 now. Get your act together, HP, and don't sell new printers that aren't compatible with the software that's out there!

Poor quality and customer support

Bought a Laptop years ago, support was fantastic and laptop fantastic eventually the keys on the keyboard malfunctions. Bought an Envy direct of HP. It's months old and now everytime I open up the screen continually changes from flip to portrait to landscape flipped. Trying to talk to someone at HP is impossible. the Laptop feels like it's a old computer not brand new.

Don’t buy direct, NEVER buy HP.

I bought my daughter a printer direct from HP last Xmas which was my first mistake. If you buy from a third party they are liable if there’s a fault. HP direct will pass you through a million hoops until you are ready to scream and still refuse to solve your problem. The technical department are useless. Refunds for faulty goods are refused point blank. A replacement was issued with the same fault and a refund was STILL refused. I’m still trying to get my head around why such a giant of a company can operate like gangsters and scammers. It’s easily said but believe me when I say that this is the worst customer service of any seller I have ever experienced. Just a total horror show and I’m still nearly £200 out of pocket. Lawless cretins !!!

Kommunikation mit dem Kunden verbesserungswürdig!

Hewlett Packard nimmt Bestellungen und Zahlungen für eigene auf der Website beworbene Produkte mit ausreichendem Lagerbestand an, ohne Lieferprobleme zu kommunizieren. Dabei räumt
Hewlett Packard Lieferung innerhalb von 48 Stunden (2 Arbeitstage) ein, ohne den Kunden darüber zu informieren, dass ein Produkt 'ausverkauft', bzw. z. Zt. nicht lieferbar sei.
Erst nach umständlicher Rückfrage kann k e i n neuer Liefertermin bestätigt werden. . .

Das bestellte Gerät ist heute - zunächst ohne weitere Ankündigung - eingetroffen (!) Das ist erfreulich, aber der Vorwurf mangelhafter Kommunikation mit mir als Kunden bleibt bestehen. Dennoch werde ich die -Bewertung anpassen.

Constant Error codes

Bought a highly rated home printer (Envy series) and it’s great. First time we came to change the ink (expensive but genuine HP cartridges) the thing is now in Error mode saying they’re not recognised genuine cartridges. happy support….NON EXISTENT. Disgraceful level of customer support. Don’t care how good the product can be, if you can’t get help to make it work POINTLESS….AVOID ALL HP PRODUCTS.

Warning: DO NOT BUY AN HP PRINTER!

Disgraceful monopoly on printer supplies making it impossible to buy ink independently. The HP Deskjet printer automatically downloaded HPSmart and from there you have to open an account and agree to regular monthly payments. They are supposed to send ink but they never did. I had to go out and buy ink and from there in HP disabled my printer and NOTHING I did would allow me to use it. I had to cancel my subscription, delete all software from my PC and go and buy a new printer. NEVER buy an HP printer!!

Disgusting level of Customer Service

I have received a disgusting level of customer service. It all relates to a laptop I am trying to purchase. The long and short of it is there was a problem with the address with HP and Parcel Force playing each other off against the other. I contacted HP and was dealt with by a female who showed no interest in my problem and said she would offer no guarantee of resolving it. When I said that wasn't acceptable, she said she wasn't prepared to deal with me and cut me off. I wasnt prepared to accept this so went to try and find how to complain, only to find there is absolutely no way of doing this direct to HP. By the way, I still haven't got my laptop and haven't been told when or if it will arrive.

My perfectly functioning laser…

My perfectly functioning laser scanner/printer no longer speaks to my Mac following a software update.
I called the HP helpline and the assistant informs me that unfortunately my printer has "reached the end of its service life so is no longer supported" even though it was working perfectly yesterday!
So I have to throw out a fully functioning laser machine because planet woke won’t script a simple universal driver forcing to buy a new one. Saving the planet my a$$

Lies and useless information from sales, post sales and technical

Approx 10 sales staff have given me different answers to the same question. Promised return phone calls that never arrive; I call that lying what does HP call it? After sales much the same as sales. Told complaints could only be made by email told complaints cannot be made by email. Pathetic customer service from staff who must be very badlt trained. I've gone to my credit card company for a chargeback. And the results of their reviews tells you how dreadful this company is!

Beware of HP

Beware when buying HP products. I bought an HP envy printer towards the end of 2023. It malfunctioned in January generating a massive bill for many thousands of sheets of printing I hadn’t done. After a great deal of aggro HP finally credited most of the charge back onto my instant ink account and replaced the printer. Despite the original printer still being well under warranty I discovered the replacement printer wasn’t new but reconditioned which HP had in from someone else for repair. No wonder this replacement immediately went wrong and wouldn’t print. I always understood a warranty covered a new replacement not someone else’s old broken cast off. Many hours spent on HP FB assistance getting nowhere. Constant insistence on trouble shooting getting nowhere as printer broken beyond repair. Hours spent trying various ways of contacting HP help all to no avail as either unavailable or directed somewhere else that then didn’t work. Letter to HP UK head office completely ignored as was letter to USA head office.

Please note

HP products are not replaced with new if they go wrong within warranty.
2. HP don’t want to know when things go wrong.
3. HP make contact so difficult probably hoping customers get fed up and give up trying.
4. HP FB chat keep you waiting hours for a response every time you ask a question.

Solution. Don’t buy HP products. Go to a reputable company who offer a proper warranty and service and when things do go wrong assist a customer and not constantly fob them off with excuses. Currys for instance give an extended warranty at alittle extra cost which covers an immediate new replacement for three years.

HP unusual "service"

Phoned HP helpline today as my printer wasn't connecting. After a long wait, was told they were attending to the matter. Then comes a message that says £1 needs to be paid before they can deal. They never did and on checking my credit card company, HP have charged the £1 and additionally £24 for a yearly service. I have spoken to my credit card company and will pursue this elsewhere. There is a word for this practice, isn't there ?

HP Deskjet 2540 printer

I have a HP Deskjet 2540 printer. There is always an issue when I try and print something. Test page needs scanned for alignment before print or intermittent WiFi connection issues. Also it eats the ink even when printing in greyscale. HP have two apps, one called HP Smart (which is anything but), which do the same thing and troubleshooting software which doesn't troubleshoot anything at all. I'm done with HP. I will never buy one of your products again.

Useless customer service and garbage product

I spent 3 hours online with customer service trying to get my printer connected, and honestly this person know nothing and just wasted my time. The HP printer I bought has been nothing but trouble since the day I bought it, and the customer service is worse, Never another HP product for me This company should do itself a favor and kill itself!

Bought printer envoy 6032e

Bought printer envoy 6032e. Followed instructions using the app. Multi attempts to set up using different mobiles.not set up.the support link is unresponsive put on the numbers from the printer nothing happens. Hp seems to have no way in the UK of sending an email to them. Where do you contact to return an order ?Humans available when go online and searching to buy but not when you have an issue post sale.invisible customer service .
My previous hp printers no issues at all

This company doesn't deserve even one star

If it were possible to award this truly vile and unhelpful company less than one star, I would! I bought what appeared to be a very nice new Hewlett Packard printer in January and a kind and experienced computer technician installed it for me (I am disabled). It functioned perfectly for about five weeks. Then my computer made an update and I found my printer had been deleted. Because I am disabled, a wonderful organisation named Ability Net help me, free of charge, and are usually able to deal with any and every problem I have - I cannot praise them or their technical know-how enough. A usually excellent technician spent hours on end trying to sort out the problem, which appeared to be with the drivers, but with no result. Another technician tried, for hours, repeatedly. This went on an on. Somebody set me up with a password and link to Hewlett Packard so that I could deal with them myself and ask for help verbally (which is denied in the evenings, when Ability Net people can assist me) and I tried, and tried, to reach them. My password was declared out of date as soon as it was issued, and I spent a day in pain (sitting at my computer too long is agonising) being blocked at every turn. As my printer is within warranty I will return it - sadly, as it was small and neat, which was all I wanted - but I am left feeling that this company doesn't care a damn about those people who, like me, have been stupid enough to buy a Hewlett Packard printer and then expect any help if it malfunctions. If I'd had to pay for all the expert help I've received from Ability Net, I would have spent thousands of pounds by now.

Utterly indifferent service

Bought an expensive smart tank 550. It was always complicated and unreliable but eventually printing was too poor to send out. Did all repairs but didnt work so had to pay £22 to get a phone tech support. She spent 20 minutes and only repeated the repairs I did . Eventually she said your printer heads dont work ...its kaput - end of story. Then had cheek to offer to put me through for sales to sell me a new one. Its too technical , poor support and even paying extra for phone support theydont really seem to know or care.
