Out of business?

Out of business?? Shop is no longer there despite the sign still there, no answer on the phones.Surely a notice on the website would have been the bare minimum?

Hi Karl,

No we're not out of business.

During the "events" over the last 2 years starting with the lockdowns and gym closures worldwide our shop was stripped of stock and suppliers were unable to provide reliable source of any kind of equipment so as an intermediate stop-gap we used the empty shop-front to sell personal antiques, effects and artifacts (easier than "MarketPlace" or Car Boot Sales that also ceased to exist for a long time);
As it happened the demand for fitness and gym equipment declined and many suppliers still struggle to get stock whereas at least we currently maintain a footfall with local customers coming in to browse Deb's shop of hidden treasures.

Deb, (GymRatz founding partner along with myself way back in 1999) is in the shop most days but limited hours so she's often on hand to assist with gym/fitness enquiries. If she can't get to the phone it's re-routed to myself, usually out and about but if you had left a message I would have called back... I was also in the shop this-afternoon and we had a number of phone callers that were either silent or callers didn't leave a message.

Did you use the contact form on the website? If you had I would have replied.

There was a the chap bobbing around outside the shop looking confused but didn't come in to ask about our somewhat unusual highstreet presence... We still have a demonstration WaterRower in the shop.

Thankyou for coming to TrustPilot to give me a chance to explain the situation but we are ABSOLUTELY NOT "out of business" and still sourcing equipment for customers but it's no longer a straight-forward operation, but leaving a 1-Star review given that you haven't even used our services isn't really appropriate. Perhaps the chap I spent 30 minutes on the phone to yesterday helping him with problems he was having with ForceUSA equipment that he'd purchased from ForceUSA who really do appear to have gone out of business might tell a different story!

Excellent customer service from Adan and Gymratz...

I feel compelled to write this review as it seems to be the rare occasion these days to encounter such excellent customer service. I order a treadmill from Gymratz and there was a slight delay in it being delivered. When I contacted the support team they dealt with it immediately and I received the equipment as promised. Due to a query about some parts I then had several conversations via email. Every email was polite and followed up by a telephone call. Ultimately we have resolved any issues. The man who dealt with all my correspondence is called Adan and I recommend that if you have any issues with anything to do with Gymratz that you ask for him personally. Excellent customer service really does exist. Thanks Adan and Gymratz. Lin.

I cant rate Pete and Deb highly enough!

I cant rate Pete and Deb highly enough. GymRatz is the place you need to turn to if you need any equipment and if you are after great quality and even better service. I can now enjoy my Force G9 and i had so much help throughout purchase and especially afterwards that i felt like a queen. I wish there were more places like this as nowadays after sale service is horrible in majority of places.

During the great 2020/21 lockdowns…

During the great 2020/21 lockdowns myself and my young family had a great requirement to turn the garge into a home gym. Not only for my own declining fitness but to burn a bit of energy from our two teenage sons that were climbing the walls without the stimulation of a school life.
We weighed up our options and found GymRatz on-line and wanting a little guidance gave them a call.
After measuring the space and discussing our wants, needs, expectations and individual training requirements we were guided to the ForceUSA gyms.
As we didn't have any weights or bars nor did anyone in the UK it seemed we were drawn to the ForceUSA G6 with it's smaller weight stack increments, better for the boys and my wife; with addition of Olympic Weight Plates to follow for the smith machine and Olympic bar (now purchased).

There was barely any delay on the machine and the price we were given was extremely competitive with GymRatz matching quotes from another company.

We took delivery of 16mm interlocking rubber floor tiles from GymRatz and fitted them the week prior to installation.
Pete and Steve arrived promptly bringing the G6 with them and installed the unit over the next 6 hours ensuring there was enough space on all sides for using an Olympic bar and loading the smith machine.

Extremely polite and proficient and I'm glad we added install as there were a LOT of components!!!

Can't thank Gymratz enough. We've since added a JMC adjustable bench and a set of PowerBlock dumbbells from GymRatz and the gym is used every day, sometimes together and sometimes individually.

Oh, Deb was also extremely helpful when I spoke to her, it's abundantly clear that Pete and Deb have many years experience with equipment, setting up family gyms and weight training in general.
Thanks guys, you saved our lockdown sanity.

Right price and next day delivery

After searching the web for the product I wanted I contacted Gym RatZ by phone.

Pete is a very helpful guy and tried his best to give me a good price, but also made sure the items reached me next day.

When confirming the order by email he also took the time to explain to me in detail some helpful tips on assembling the item.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Gym RatZ to my friends.

Bought several York bumper plates, which I am very satisfied with. Customer service was excellent, particularly Pete who was very helpful and competent. I would definitely recommend buying from this company.

Just want to say how much I valued the…

Just want to say how much I valued the effort and time taken by the team at GymRatZ when I recently purchased a pair of Powerblock Pro Exp stages 1 and 2 adjustable dumbbells from them online. Debs was very helpful and communicative throughout the purchase and I was kept up to speed on Delivery times as the order came in 2 shipments. One of the power blocks was faulty but was replaced without hesitation or question and as quickly as possible I had the pair of dumbbells up and running in my home gym. Highly recommended shop. Thanks and will use again.

Bought a waterRower Club a while ago in August. The item was out of stock and i appreciate the call back on the next working day. Had the option of changing the order but i stick to it because of the free gift.

Customer service was really good. As i live on the 3rd Floor, was initially concerned about bringing it up. Was advised on how to bring it up. So really appreciate it.

Since then bought discounted supplement which arrived on time without fuss.

All in all, good value with great service.
