Mauvaise expérience
Bien: reçu le colis rapidement
Mauvais: il y avait un gros défaut à l'arrière du corps de la guitare, irrattrapable même en ponçant ou avec le bouche pore à l'eau. Evidemment je m'en suis aperçu après avoir appliqué la peinture et j'ai maintenant une fissure à l'arrière.
Pour ce qui est du bouche pore ça m'a énormément compliqué la tâche et conduit à un très mauvais résultat de près. C'est pourquoi je recommande de ne pas en mettre. Seulement le site mentionne à certains endroits que c'est obligatoire sur un bois à pores ouverts comme le frêne et par contradiction le site mentionne aussi que ce n'est plus la peine d'en mettre vu la peinture.
Lorsque j'ai tenté d'avoir des conseils il n'y avait plus un seul conseiller après l'achat, pourtant disponibles avant l'achat, et ce n'est pas faute de leur avoir écrit plusieurs mails sans réponse.
Donc le bouche pore: mauvais, la peinture ça passe, l'apprêt aussi, et là le gros point faible: le vernis ! Il est d'une très mauvaise qualité, et ce n'est pas faute d'avoir appliqué plusieurs couches, poncé comme c'était indiqué puis appliqué les dernières couches sans poncer mais rien n'y fait : il est rugueux, pas du tout lisse et j'ai l'impression qu'il ne protège pas du tout la guitare.
Sur l'accastillage rien à dire pour l'instant.
Grosse surprise sur les micros: je les trouve vraiment très correct comparer à des micros haut de gamme style Dominger. J'étais vraiment surpris sur ce point, j'ai peut-être eu de la chance...
Gros défaut sur le manche aussi et sur plusieurs points. D'abords la 22e cases du manche déborde sur le pickguard, ce qui fait que pour retirer le pickguard vous n'avez d'autre choix que de dévisser le manche.
Ensuite niveau accordage j'ai d'énormes défaut: lorsque j'accorde ma guitare, je règle aussi le tirant de la corde de sorte à ce que la 12e cases sonne comme la corde à vide. J'arrive à peu prêt à corriger ça mais je suis au maximum niveau tirant de la visse donc déjà premier problème. Vient un autre problème lié: lorsque je pince ma troisième case et que je joue la note sonne faux. Impossible à rattraper, en tout cas je ne vois pas comment. Donc niveau manche c'est pas terrible non plus.
Voilà pour conclure je ne sais pas si c'est parce que j'ai acheté le modèle strat en promotion que j'ai tous ces défauts et qu'en achetant un modèle un peu plus cher j'aurai pu éviter certains défauts de fabrication, en tout cas allez-y en toute connaissance de cause et ne vous attendez pas à une master piece

_Ok, après avoir appliqué le bouche port et malgré le fait de l'avoir poncé en long en large et en travers il restait encore de gros défaut comme lorsque vous platrez puis poncez mal : on voit toutes les traces c'est très moche. Et ce n'est pas faute vraiment d'avoir poncé à fond.
_Qu'entendez-vous par sceller le bois correctement ? J'ai appliqué comme c'était indiqué bouche pore puis l'aprêt en deux couche, puis les couches de peintures successives comme indiqué. Le résultat était lisse juste après la peinture, par contre dès que j'ai appliqué les couche de vernis c'est devenu rugueux.
_ Je trouve que l'accastillage fait le job :)
_Ok pour le pickguard, c'est un peu étrange tout de même de mettre le manche par dessus le pickguard...
_Enfin pour le manche, je vais vous contacter par email, car je pense l'avoir bien réglé sur la hauteur mais au niveau de la justesse je ne vois pas comment procéder car les vis sont tournées à fond et je suis toujours désaccordé au niveau de la 12e cases ainsi que faux sur certaines cases comme la 3e par exemple.

Bonjour, navré d'apprendre votre déconvenu mais nous ne trouvons pas trace de vos emails. N'hésitez pas a nous transférer votre numéro de reference pour que l'on puisse retrouver vos emails et vous joindre. Il serait bien de discuté par téléphone pour revoir avec vous votre projet. A vous lire, de nombreuses de vos conclusions nous semble erroné:
- le bouche pore pour du bois en frene est définitivement nécessaire. Si vous n'en mettez pas vous ne pourrez jamais obenir une finition lisse meme avec 10 couche de vernis.
- le vernis n'est pas rugueux. Ce resultat a été obtenu car le bois n'as pas été correctement scellé.
- l'accastillage est pour nous la partie la moins bonne de nos kit mais en effet reste de bonne facture.
- il est possible d'enlever le pickguard sans enlever le manche si vous dévisser les micros en décalant le pickguard dans un premier temps vers le bridge.
- pour la justesse de l'intonation au differente frette il faudrait en discuter d'avantage.

Fret Leveling Beam is cheap, the two stripes of sandpaper are glued slightly overflow. Perfect for a tool of precision. So, brand new I have to unstick bad job. By the way, 3 grids level, but what level it is ?

Nearly perfect
Hello. The guitar neck is perfectly made. good wood work. But it arrived with a small dent, probably during transportation. Nothing serious. I was able to fix it easily, but I think it was the fault of an insufficient packaging. Your product deserves better protection for shipments. I think it is really a very well made product. First impressions are good.
Easy ordering and fast delivery. Only slight damage to the outer carton. A quick check of contents and all is ok. Wood on both body and neck seems good and free of blemishes, so would probably take a stain or natural finish. Neck fit is ok. Will be my first kit build. One gripe is that the fret ends seem excessively bevelled taking around 4-5mm off the effective neck width in some. Luckily not a bendy player so hopefully will be usable or maybe a candidate for my first re-fret also.

Bodyshape in photo's does not resemble product
This is an updated review:
My original one was 1 star with the following message:
"The firebird body in the photo is absolutely not the same shape as the firebird body I have received."
I didn't really give The Guitar Fabric a chance to fix it before I made the review because I was disappointing and the review request was send before I had even received my package. My policy when receiving the review request before the product is a review on the unboxing experience and that one was bad.
However, the people from Guitar Fabric have been the best ever updating the store listing, building a new body in the shape previously listed on the site, getting it to me and dealing with a local courier that's causing an incredible amount of issues.
I haven't received the new body yet thanks to the local Courier but I'm fairly sure everything will be fine.
I have the full confidence the people from The Guitar Fabric will make it so.

delivery was over a week even though…
delivery was over a week even though the website was showing item in stock and that delivery was 1/2 days. the package arrived in very bad condition but luckily the items inside were okay. Not had time to test fit anything yet and to check if any parts are missing but hopeful all will be okay.
will update once I have completed the project I am currently working on and get the chance to examine this kit properly
